The Antique shop back by the harbor tour place. And Belissio's Arabiata dinner! And the chocolate shop! And going up the hill to goto the mall. Oh the memories of so many trips up there. So many cool things and cool people. I give you the masters salute for posting these, sir! Hope to go back one day when I have a better lot in life again. My grandfather was maintance on a ww2 troop transport ship that took Marines to ALL the big battle in the Pacific. Guadal Canal, Saipan, etc. He manned the short L60 Bofor Pom Pom when Japs raided the ships. Took them back captive to the states. Then more men back out. I would love to have been USN if I had my way looking back at life. Anyway, thanks! PS my real FN is Paul too. This is a pseudo 😉

Split the gas and the fare on the Badger across Lake Michigan. I’ve wanted to go to Duluth to watch the ships in person. My Honda CRV gets pretty good mileage so that won’t be too costly. You’d get a chance to do videos for your channel on the ship. Think about it. I’m downriver from Detroit so not far from St. Clair.

I never get tired of your videos of the ships coming into port. You always present the ships from different perspectives and camera locations. Being onboard the Tregurtha's bridge and engine room was extra bonus. Excellent!

Such a nice day she came in... ... unlike what is apparently happening on Lake Superior now, with 17-22 foot waves and a heavy freezing spray warning. Lake Michigan is only slightly less terrible with 15-20 foot waves. I'm going to guess without looking that the fleets are tucked away at safe anchorages waiting this storm system out.

Touring the bridge and ER of the Paul R Tregurtha definitely shouts “Go big or go home.” I wonder if safe travel through the canal would be facilitated by mounting a rifle scope in the bridge? Set crosshairs on the center of the lift bridge, radio in “Oscar Mike” and slam throttles to full power. No?

That was an incredible tour, Paul. We caught her in Sault Ste Marie on vacation and a person doesn't realize how big she is until you see her pulling out of the locks.
Someone likes you...its more than difficult to go onboard any ship. By the way...now its really cold, can you use the camera with your gloves on? ( I thought the "Queen" was the lady running off!)
