Peter Frampton is still touring, I’ve seen him live and it was absolutely incredible. Peter was very cordial, stopped the show in the middle and talked to a few fans, he asked us what he could do to make the concert better and my boss who took us there yelled out TURN IT UP!! Peter said that there’s one in every crowd. What a great night it was. By the way he was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Frampton was born in Beckenham, Kent; greater London. Co-founder of the group Humble Pie, before going solo. This was in 1976. Frampton suffered a near-fatal car accident in the Bahamas in 1978 that marked the end of his prolific period and the beginning of a long period during which he was less successful. He had a comeback. Today he's right up there with the rest of the greats! Just inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

The song was so involving, and would often still be playing when I arrived at my destination. Whenever it was possible, I was compelled to listen to the song until its magnificent grand finale. Peter Frampton's Dad Owen was my art teacher. He brought into school the uncut recording of this US tour and we heard a number of tracks. This just completely blew us away.
He is an extraordinary guitarist and performer.

You could not listen to radio, or go to a party in 1976 - 1977 without hearing songs from this album.
Frampton was a teenaged lead guitarist for a great group called Humble Pie, then he formed his own group called Frampton’s Camel that released a couple of albums… and then this behemoth album came out and you just couldn’t get away from it if you tried.
So the air was filled with cuts from Fleetwood Mac’s 2 greatest albums ‘Fleetwood Mac’ & ‘Rumours’… Boston’s enormous debut album, and this monster from Frampton.
Frampton was huge for a few years, but music moved on… and he decided to go for a peaceful life and got more into jazz. Some great recordings, but never hugely popular again.
He was very highly regarded - a really melodic and intuitional player - and his solos were always interesting and made you feel great!
You should get into the Boston album - most of the cuts on that album are mind blowing from the guitar, vocals & production aspect!

During the 60s and 70s every time you turned on the radio there was one banger band after another and music that engulfed your soul. So much diverse music! So much talent! No computers, no auto tune. Just pure amazing talent.

Wifey here. You rewind & pause as often as you like. I’ve just discovered you & what a joy & pleasure to hear/watch. Your appreciation for the music of ‘our’ generation is refreshing & the best I’ve seen. Keep going, you’ll soon hit that 100k. Thanks Molly Boy 😊

Peter framton is one of the most versatile artist in the business in any genre, he’s a Brit but as an American, I think we to claim him as our own too ! Thanks again man , you rock !

You were like most of us in the 70’s. No videos. We listened and can tell you what we were doing when these songs were playing. These songs bring up memories of those good times.

One of the greatest guitar solos of all time, not a shred fest, but skilled, melodic phrasing, oh yeah, the Vox (talk box) solo. Mind blowing....

1976 was a gold mine of the greatest albums of all time! Frampton Comes Alive!, Boston, Electric Light Orchestra - A New World Record, Rush-2112, Steve Miller Band - Fly Like An Eagle, Queen - A Day At The Races, AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep, Kansas - Leftoverture, Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life, the list goes on and on and on...

Yep - I'm 77 and have the hearing aids to prove it. Blame it on my youth, I was a musician in the late 60's we supported a lot of the bands reviewed by young Molly, including The Herd (with a very young Peter Frampton).

I graduated Senior High School in the Bicentennial Year of 1976 and this song was our ANTHEM!
One of my besties house was right behind our school. The album was released in January of that year.
By the time May came, no longer able to deal with being in school, we’d play “hooky” and go to her house and BLARE this album!!!! By the time this song rolled around, we were singing at the tops of our lungs, dancing in our bathing suits in the back yard, and feeling on TOP OF THE 🌎 WORLD. It was such an incredible time to be alive!!!!🎉

One of the greatest live performances ever recorded. It's up there with Freebird, Whipping Post, Stairway, Comfortably Numb, and Smoke on the Water. Epic song and epic guitar performance. Great reaction! 👏👏
