I don't know if anyone can contribute to *Islam* since the religion is perfect, but undeniably the hajji Paul contributes to the umah in a much remarkable way by the grace of Allah (swt). Hopefully great reward to follow insha'Allah.
There are Muslim groups who associate dress code with Islam even though if modestly dressed, forgetting about Tawheed. It is very trying for converts. It helps to think out of the box.
It's a struggle. It's not a simple answer especially when the law of the country or social pressures you reside affect your action. We strive as much as possible for islam. I think this is the discussion all about.
What is forbidden is to imate them in belief and sins or taboos, not science and what benefits people. And if the first is to stop imitating them even in these matters, even if there is no intention of imitating.
Salam Paul. Excellent topic. It happens that I have been testing AI chatbot recently and asked it how does that it was talking so realistically. As a matter of fact it all relies on imitation and the ability to stack blocks of known patterns. What I mean here is that even a machine programmed to answer convincingly (so to please the user) will end totally mirroringa first level of thought, that could consist in immorality if not kept away from this area by safeguarding programmers. Maybe then the same capabilities and issues, at even further level, have to be expected of humans.
We can't imitate the aspects of a culture we live in that conflicts with Islam. As for the parts of a culture that dont conflict with Islam, there is no problem with imitating that.
Salaam all , Quran says :49:13 O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware So yes humanity imitates and shares, that how progress happens, but not to imitate or follow what is outside the deen, the way of Allah.
Have your wondered why Muslims have been left behind and no one likes us? Because our priorities are upside down! We are giving importance to things that are not at all important and the things that are very important, like moderation education, logic, reason etc is at the bottom…..😢
I'm not Muslim and I've never had any personal acquaintance with Muslims. But I would not say that I don't like Muslims. I believe all humanity is created by God Himself. Although humans are different in so many ways, respect is very important. You said "our priorities are upside down". I think giving priority to the Creator is good and I hope I can open my heart to God's presence and His love for us. I appreciate your honesty. Even if you feel "no one likes us", remember that God loves you ! God loves and cares about Muslims. Peace of God to you and your family from Florida USA.
Islam is basically the only religion that´s standing up against liberalism, and lgbtq+ worldwide so of course we are gonna get hate and be smeared, but that´s just the way things are. You think liberals and leftwingers like christians and countries like Russia, Hungary and Polen? They hate them, and the EU leaders even sanctioned Poland and Hungary because they banned lgbtq+ which from the liberal´s point of view is a violation of human rights, but goes against their fundamental christian teachings. So It´s not as gloom and doom as you think. Christians, orthodox jews are our friends and allies against materialism, atheism and degenracy and I hope we can become even stronger in the future, but I wouldn´t be surprised if we saw a lot of european and american christians and muslims move to muslim countries in the future like i.e. Qatar, UAE, Oman, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia ect.
@jj-yi1ne But why do you say such ? I honestly admit I've never had any kind of close acquaintance with Muslims, but I feel no reason to "hate". If I am wrong, may God give me guidance.
It depends on what is meant by "non-muslim" and what type of behavior by non-muslim is positive. If non-muslim has good deeds and shows compassion to people, I think such behavior should certainly be imitated. Respectfully....
Don't want to sound racist, but I much prefer western converts coming onto the channel. Their stories are much more interesting than the zealous imams and they're often more eloquent. Take Joel Hayward and Timothy Winter for example.
Thats just racist and closed minded While i respect western converts, i generally feel more comfortable taking knowledge from traditional ulama' as they have continuous chain of taking knowledge to the earliest tabiin and up to the prophet himself Ofc, that does not mean born muslim is better, its just that unbroken chain of studying islam usually be practised from traditional muslim ulama'.. As they usually devoted their studies since early age
It is not about an interesting story. If you want that, maybe you should read Harry Potter. It’s about knowledge. Dividing ulama into western or eastern and even reaching a conclusion about which group is “more interesting “ is not the way to go.
@@majidel5824Just cos someone isn't a zealot doesn't make them a "liberal" or whatever your culture war based understanding of the word "Liberal" means.

I think Sheikh Abdal Hakim Murad's position of this matter is quite racist to be honest. It seems he disapproves of Islamic diversity (which by the way is different to Western notions of diversity). He's more concerned about culture than Islam. In this respect, he's no different from CCP.
Unlike Christianity, Muslim cannot lie with his tongue and declare that he's a Christian. Takiyah, whether for good or bad, practiced by Iranian Shia is forbidden in Islam. Automatically, he has become an Apostate.
If we watch a a 2-3 hours long movie (mind you very less beneficial for us), it is much better for our intellect listening to this interesting kind discussions.
@youssef.sarhanwhy would be senseless listening to something that could only profit us? We are becoming this much impatient to listen what benefit us?
@youssef.sarhan I am sorry but I don't think it is that clear cut answer. You may not be interested in the details of the why but many of us need to learn more about our deen and to sharpen our critical thinking. Aren't asked to ponder by the Almighty?
It depends on your habits. For some people reviewing categories of concepts and trying to grab some important nouns related to a question, like "tashabu", is maybe not big discovery, but still good gymnastics for anxious neurons :)
Your contribution to Islam is absolutely amazing. May Allah reward you.
