🎯 *Key Takeaways* for quick navigation: 00:47 🎯 The anniversary of the Hijra (Prophet Muhammad's migration) from Makkah to Medina is significant in Islamic history, marking the foundation of the first Islamic polity and the launch of Islamic civilization. 03:27 📚 Orientalist interpretations, such as Sir William Muir's, tend to portray the Hijra as a flight from Makkah, emphasizing escape from persecution. 07:46 🕌 The Quran and Hadith emphasize that the Hijra was a divine plan to establish Islam as a power, civilization, state, and way of life, not merely a flight from danger. 14:30 🏠 The Quran promises a good lodging in this world for those who migrated for the sake of Allah after facing oppression, suggesting the significance of the Hijra. 19:37 📖 The Quranic verses regarding the Hijra and their interpretations by early scholars emphasize the idea that the Hijra was not just about escape but also about the establishment of Islamic authority and civilization. 25:05 🕌 Allah commanded the Prophet Muhammad to emigrate to Medina, signifying that the Hijra was a divine directive to confront the opposition in Mecca and establish Islamic authority in Medina. 26:20 🌍 The Prophet sought political authority and support from various tribes during his mission in Makkah to establish and protect the religion of Islam. 32:15 🕋 Allah assured the Prophet during the Hijra that he would return to Makkah, indicating that his migration was part of Allah's plan for the establishment of Islam. 35:18 🤝 The disbelievers in Makkah plotted to imprison, kill, or expel the Prophet, but Allah's plan prevailed, leading to the eventual spread of Islam. 46:01 ⚔️ The Prophet's repeated approaches to tribes for support during his mission aimed to empower him to protect and spread the message of Islam. 51:01 📜 Jihad, in its military context, is about enabling the message of Islam to be heard and allowing the spread of the religion, not for material gain or violence. 52:57 🚀 The pledge of allegiance (bay'ah) in the 13th year of the mission was a significant moment in the Prophet Muhammad's life. It signalled not only protection from persecution but also the establishment of a new Islamic society. 54:57 🤝 The 70+ people from Medina who participated in the second pledge pledged their unwavering support to the Prophet Muhammad, promising to hear and obey him in hardship and ease, enjoin good, forbid evil, and protect him. 56:36 🌍 The Hijra wasn't merely an escape from persecution but a strategic move to enable the practice of Islam and establish a new civilization under the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad. 59:38 ⏰ The introduction of the Islamic calendar (Hijri) marked a significant moment in the development of Islamic civilization, emphasizing the separation of truth from falsehood and the need for a distinct Islamic polity. 01:06:13 🏛️ The building of the first mosque in Medina marked the Prophet's arrival as a ruler, symbolizing the transition of power and the establishment of the Islamic polity.

Alhamdulillah. Definitely an event which changed the world, as that made Yathrib (Madina) the base of safety and legislation until the Muslims were strong enough in faith and army to take back the Holy Ka'ba.
Wow. Beautiful presentation. So clear and full of information that's easy to follow along. Mr. Wahid is an excellent presentor with in depth knowledge. Seriously, I was able to easily follow along without having to pause and look up things to understand. Mashallah, excellent 👏 👏👏
Assalamualaikum brother Paul Thank you for having this session. It’s never more at a most appropriate timing … when we are remembering our dearest prophet in maulidul rasul. Much appreciated brother Paul
Thank you Br. Paul for facilitating this very fascinating with Dr. Abdul Wahid. I first bought the Sealed Nectar back in the mid-nineties, but the English translation was so bad that I never went beyond the first few pages. I will read the latest edition and also Yasir Qadhi’s version. Your podcasts are informative, timely, and of a good variety of topics. Many thanks and keep up the great work. Greetings from Canada!
Alhamdulillah. Thank you Paul and Dr Abdul Wahid for the eye opening podcast! As I see it the content of the podcast was exactly the hidden part of the message of the first wahy or revelation Q(96:1-5). The first obvious of the message of the 1st revelation is about alTauhid - The Oneness of AlRabb - our(insan) Creator. The Truth. The second or the hidden part of the message is about the equality of human being(Insan) - all are equally created from 'alaq. The justice and humanity. Hijrah was nothing but to further and establish the 2nd part of the Islamic messages - to bring equality - peace, justice and humanity to human society- after about 13 hard years of introducing and establishing the truth of Altauhid in Makkah.
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:02 📅 The discussion is about the Prophet Muhammad's Hijra, the journey from Mecca to Medina, which is considered a significant event in Islamic history. 01:29 🏃 The presentation aims to challenge the false narrative that the Hijra was merely a flight from Mecca, emphasizing its role in establishing the first Islamic state and civilization. 02:31 🗺️ Dr. Abdul Wahid will explore the subject by presenting evidence and discussing the significance of the Hijra. 05:02 📜 The study of the Prophet's life, known as Sierra, used to be taught primarily as the battles of the Prophet. Still, it later included the earlier phase of the Prophet's life, including the Hijra. 06:12 🌟 The presentation aims to highlight an understated narrative about the Prophet's Hijra, which was not merely a fleeing from persecution but a deliberate step in establishing Islam as a civilization and state. 08:00 📚 Some orientalists have presented the Hijra as the Prophet fleeing from Mecca, but this presentation aims to provide a richer narrative. 11:50 💡 Islam existed before the Hijra, but the establishment of Islam as a civilization and state is marked by this event. 13:30 🕊️ The term "Hijra" linguistically means leaving one place for another, migration, or separation, not merely fleeing or seeking refuge. 14:30 🚀 The Prophet's migration was intended to establish Islam as a civilization and state, not just escape persecution. 19:37 🏠 The Quran acknowledges the significance of the Hijra, promising good lodging and rewards to those who migrated for the sake of Allah after being oppressed. 23:23 🙏 The Quran includes a prayer for a good entry and exit for the Prophet during his Hijra, emphasizing the importance of these events in the establishment of Islam. 26:20 📜 The concept of Authority (political power) is discussed in relation to Prophet Muhammad's Hijrah. It was seen as essential to support the message of Islam. 28:12 🏛️ Political Authority should protect the weaker from the stronger, according to Quranic commentary. It is meant to be a mercy from Allah. 29:37 💪 Authority and political power are used to eradicate evils that cannot be eliminated by religious teachings alone. 32:29 🕋 Allah's promise to return Prophet Muhammad to Makkah is mentioned, emphasizing that his migration (Hijrah) was part of Allah's plan, not a sign of fear. 35:18 🤝 The Quran mentions the plots against the Prophet, highlighting how disbelievers sought to imprison, kill, or expel him, while Allah was planning to support him. 43:08 🛡️ The Prophet repeatedly approached various tribes, seeking their support, military protection, and allegiance in spreading Islam. 49:51 🗣️ The Prophet asked if there was a man willing to protect him and take him to his people, indicating that he sought both spiritual acceptance and physical support. 52:57 🕊️ The first pledge of Allah in the Prophet's Hijrah was about personal conduct, emphasizing the importance of character. 53:11 🕌 In the 13th year of the mission, Muslim visited the leaders of tribes in Medina, paving the way for the acceptance of Islam by the entire society. 54:19 🌙 The second pledge in the 13th year marked the Hijrah, and the Prophet's followers from Medina pledged their support to hear and obey him in hardship and ease. 56:36 🌍 The Hijrah wasn't just to escape persecution but to establish Islam as a way of life, in line with Allah's plan despite tribal rejections. 59:51 💡 The Prophet's migration to Medina was prophesied to establish a powerful city, eliminating evil just as a furnace removes impurities from iron. 01:08:37 📅 The Companions adopted the Hijri calendar, signifying the separation of truth from falsehood, emphasizing the significance of the event.

Dr wahid you think we will have to do hijra soon to Afg@n!st@n because west will not be able to swallow our support in prosper Afganistan I definitely see it.
Hello sir. I watched your videos. I think you have reverted to islam. Where are you from? UK? Sir what I want to say is that religion and culture are 2 different thing. In Islam there are few regions the Arab world, the turk world, the southasia, the Persian world. All have their own pre Islamic cultures, that have been moulded into Islamic way . Religion is the binding factor between them all. Not the culture. Sometimes when non Muslims revert, they confuse between the culture and religion. Reverts have to follow the religion, not the culture. For instance you don't have to follow the arab culture or turk or pakistani culture. You don't have to wear their dresses or eat their food. Your own culture and surname is fine to Allah and Islam. You only have to remove unislamic things like adultery, wine, pork and modest dressing etc within your culture and follow the rest of the culture. Sometimes Muslims think that in Arab culture we eat on floor and with hands. So it must be mandatory is Islam. Our prophet was an Arab and he also follow Arabic traditions but he didn't force or bind his followers to do the same. Else it would be farz(compulsory). The arabs in generals have very dominating culture. They confuse it with religion. Confusing religion and culture prevents many like us to find faults where they are due. Similarly we pakistanis have a very imposing Culture. Sometimes imams ask too much. Change of surname. And culture. Keep long beard etc. Muslims nowadays force to look like Muslims but don't act like one. Islam is a very moderate religion. It is sad how some of us twist it for our own agendas. For instance in Pakistan where I am from, there are now so many sects and grave worshipping sects propping up. The more ill Tracy, the more mullahs divide and rule. Their is one Islam of Allah and prophet. But here every imam has its own version. Islam has given the right to study and explore Islam into your hands not the imam's. Islam comes in all cultures. For example if you are English you carry your English culture (minus few things not allowed in Islam) and be a good Muslim.. New Muslim reverts have this problem. Sometimes people do judge. We used to have an old women who work for us. She prays 5 times a day but she don't know the namaz. How come she prey namaz 5 times a day when she doesn't know the words? She only know the movements and read name of God 'Allah Allah'. I don't ask people to do the same. But she was 65 years old and even if she do this to please Allah. I can bet Allah would accept her prayers. As hadith says : actions depends on intentions. So Muslims reverts are already going through big change. Then there are cultural expectations too. Similarly a very strict form was expected to be followed from day 1. If someone has choosen the religion on their own and not by birth, ofcourse they would follow it to the fullest but need time to learn and adjust. You would find many bad Muslims.. You would find people who would judge you. Don't be out off Islam by seeing these people..Islam is perfect Muslims are not.
@Blogging Theology Well today also mark a weird accomplishment Brother, you were being the topic of discussion between the great minds of David Wood and Apus 🥴. You must be doing something right to even gained their attention.
Islam was a world leader in Arab science until al-Ghazali the famous scientist/philosopher underwent a religious crisis and his influence closed the learning centers 1200 years ago. This is what happens to scientific progress when religion dominates a culture.
Peace salam greetings of islam ☪️ 🙏 ❤️ Br James in humanity. Islam supports sceince whrn its right. Just look up it miracles ..other than scientific too...to state a few.. as nasal the gr8 proved iron from skies..they say from meteorite shower . B4 telescopes ..expanding universe...b4 microscope..detailed embryonic stages.... First camera by muslims..after ghazali I think..algebra too..from khwaraizmi....hence now net and algorithms and ads etc.as to net..etc. that as tv and even telephine and mych more prohezied by muhammed mercy to mankind upon him peace too Plus islamic accomdates all cultures. Takes the good and affrims and rejects the not so good Peace greetingsand prince of peace and prosperity to come...ameenSalamalaikom.
one thing has always bothered my mind. If The Prophet’s Hijrah changed the world , as you claim its importance, why not a single word is said about it in the Quran? after all, the Hijrah took place 10 years after it.Amazing isn't it?
are you sure about that ? quran was reavealed over 23 years - thus you meccan surahs and medina surahs, - Medina was the start of the Islamic civilization - The City of the prophet, the meaning Of Medina
Shahada tells muslims to bear witness that Al lah is god & Muhammad is god's messenger. To witness is to see or observe. To bear witness is to publicly state what you have seen or observed. No muslim can do this making the statement nonsensical and illogical.
Brother what is wrong with you why are you keep using that word god for ALLAH you need to fix that because when people hear you speak the word god they think you are calling Jesus god like the Christians
Chill akhi it's just a matter of linguistics, God means the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being, and is the one deserve of worship, and we all know it's only Allah that has such stature. I myself used the word God at times and ofc my Niyyah is to call upon Allah, al-Ilāhuna (our THE GOD)
I disagree, dear brother. As a Muslim, I use the words God and Lord to refer to Allah in my conversations. No one becomes confused as to whom I'm referring. It is much more dependent on the context + culture. There is no haram in calling Allah "God." We all know that it is The Almighty that is being referred to.
If someone mention God and you think of something else, then something is wrong with you. I never recognize the word God to be associated with something else. Other people, it is their belief.
I love you guys but I was referring to another person on a different program called Let the Quran speak but some how ended up on this platform mashallah

~ The Ahlulbayt began to be ignored since the wafat of Rasulullah SAW, even when he was still around, the symptoms had started, and he already knew that it would happen in the future. ~ The wives of the Prophet were not included in the ahlul bait. This is in the hadith kisa and verse tathira.
The Ahlul Bayt referred to by Rasulullah SAW are Amirul Mukminin Imam Ali AS, Sayyidah Fatima AS, Imam Hasan Al Mujtaba AS and Imam Husain AS, this can be found in the Kisa hadiths. ~ The leadership of the Messenger of Allah's message was passed down in relay to the 3 Imams related in the Hadiths of Kisa and Ayat Tathir [Imam Ali as, Imam Hasan as and Imam Husain as] and 9 Imams from the descendants of Imam Husain as up to Imam Mahdi ajfs [Imam Ali Zainal Abidin as, Imam Muhammad Al Baqir as, Imam Ja'far Ash Shiddiq as, Imam Musa Al Kazhim as, Imam Ar Ridha as, Imam Muhammad Al Jawad as, Imam Ali Al Hadi as, Imam Hasan Al Askari as, Imam Mahdi ajfs ] ~ Details of hadith points and verses from the Koran: to follow
BTW, accepting and acknowledging the existence of the Shia Ali [shia = followers] group is already much better than those who don't understand the real problem and then shout anti-Shia, even anti/phobic ahlulbayt [na'udzu billah]. Followers of Imam Ali as are because Imam Ali as is the best student and successor to the Messenger of Allah's Messenger, that's all.

22:41 They are the ones who if We give them power in the land, establish
Salaat (the Divine System), and set up the Just Economic Order (in which
wealth circulates freely to nourish every member of the society, and the
basic needs of all individuals are taken care of). They promote the
Permanent Moral Values and discourage what the Qur’an forbids. And in
their governance all affairs are decided according to God's decrees
(given in the Qur’an.
In this verse the Salah is not namaz[namaz is a persian word-meaning -bow to fire, just like Azerbaijan-garden/earth of fire-and this zakat is not 2 1/2% [it is nowhere to be found in Qur;an]
These people are creating an argument for to lay a base for their conceptions. Or misconceptions.
Peace salam greetings of islam ☪️ 🙏 ❤️

Why you didn't become Muslim yet? May Allah guide you to accept it.ameen ya rab
He Is Muslim A Long time Now Alhamdulillah
one thing has always bothered my mind.
Hizb Al Tahrarir what a joke
What's the joke about them???
Shahada tells muslims to bear witness that Al lah is god & Muhammad is god's messenger.
To witness is to see or observe. To bear witness is to publicly state what you have seen or observed. No muslim can do this making the statement nonsensical and illogical.
For those with knowledge understanding, they know that you can see with your heart.
Hours of no use discussions mostly self illusionary
Jai shree ram
Wrong place for Mr. Sree Ram!!!
