Quick Note about Shadow Cloak: To be honest y’all this video was put into production well before U44 notes with shadow cloak were out so this skill slipped under the radar. We have lots of time before the next patch to pump out more high quality builds before any major changes so I’ll make sure that I’m more thorough with this new process! In general, I don’t think it will be worthwhile for ST, using any 10 second ability has to have massive beneficial tradeoffs, and 10% doesn’t seem like it will be enough, but this skill will be really good for AOE situations!
Consider also that you can be a vampire so that you get additional spell damage using the cloak cast. Though, nightblade sustain is already pretty wonky. I haven’t bothered to do the math on it in an actual full rotation, but it’s certainly a staple in acuity/trash stops. It seems that lotus fan overall didn’t get as much love as they made it seem it would. Haven’t gotten a lot of good testing, but seems significantly weaker than talons-at least from a single target perspective.
Hey man i havent played since 2018 or so and i just redownloaded the game for nostalgias sake and have watched a few of your videos, you really put a lot of effort into these and it looks like you know your stuff. is it possible for any classes to pull "competitive" dps while doing a full caster setup? i really dont like the look of these new hybrid builds and would prefer not to use dual wield or 2h at all
Great guide! Ive wanted to make a nightblade for ages and ill be using this guide alot. I saw the pin on Shadow cloak - what about Lotus Fan? Its damage got buffed alot this patch - is it worth the slot?

@@MrGoul78 to be honest I didn’t have much of a chance to play around with the new shadow cloak, but in general, casting any ability once every 10 seconds has to have a massive trade off in value and I don’t THINK the bonuses are quite enough to be worthwhile for single target, seems like it could be really good in aoe!
why not concealed weapon? he couldve got higher parse with it. it got buffed and synergize well with cloak. +10% more damage after leaving invisibility ( cloak ) for 15s. any particular reason?

Nice guide and all but really no reason to be nb dd in pve coz u could just beam entire planefields on arcanist cleave/aoe is all nowdays Saying as nb (stam) main
On paper - yes. But in reality group content is not about ur own fun. You pick class with an ass AoE dps - whole group starting to loose time on each encounter with more than one target, tanks have to work harder on stacking mobs (coz u r no arcanist to cover entire arena with beam) , lack of shields (like from beam) increases risk of me being killed and dead dd doesn't do dmg by itself, but also forces someone to do extra job by reviving you. So does my own joy of playing nb worth unenjoyment of others?
Ye, Alduin posted some juicy boss fights. Shame I don't go into KA. My trials are vLC/vSE (farm with pugs) - rest is occasional. In vLC AoE is way more needed along the way (tried on blade - all the st gained doesn't worth it), vSE might work but might not (spider mini boss spawn - would u be able to redress for st or not, also some encounters pretty punishing for melee in SE)

Lots of options are viable in a lot of ways! What do you define as full caster setup?

If you need a self heal, swallow soul is solid, otherwise I’d use vigor
Wouldnt you use Zaan’s monster set in combination with HS? I believe the damage is slightly higher

When my stats says 27 crit without trap that means I have ??? 127 % or 152%
+27% crit damage
crit damage starts off as 50% so you do 77% increased damage when you land a crit

It's a game, the point is to have fun. If night blade is more fun that's enough reason to run it

Blades are actually doing stupid good in ST fight rn. Meta in vka currently for example
