X-men #1 was sold so high because that was Jim Lee's greatest moment as an artist!!! Not only did he do the greatest cover, he also did the entire book!! Most dope artist do the cover only.. lol!!

Not only were Mystique and Destiny meant to be lovers but they were also originally meant to be Nightcrawler's parents with Mystique in male form having impregnated Destiny. Also, Bryan Singer only directed three, not four, of the previous five films.
