Blade Runner 2049 is definitely my number one when it comes to best sound. Nothing comes close to it imo. It’s not just heavy bass, its also the clarity and activity/imaging/activity of the sound that is just perfection
Thats how I felt about Dune (2021) the bass was deep and booming but the dynamic range was great and you could clearly hear all the dialogue even when the actors were whispering
I'll definitely have to check some of these out. Even on my middling sound bar, the Batman (89) 4k blew me away, so I can't imagine how amazing some of these sound. Thanks for the great content!
Sweet I love when I own every movie in a top ten list. I also own the honorable mentions. Wait just looked at my collection I own everything accept Man of Steel. I was so close! 😭😭😭😭
I was shocked Jupiter Ascending wasnt in your list. Which tells me you either havent seen it or you havent heard the Atmos disc. It is my number one Atmos disc by a fairly wide margin. I tell anyone who has doubts that Atmos is effective to watch Ascending and when they do, they are 100% convinced of the formats viability. I helped a friend of mine add 2 rear height speakers into his Atmos setup and after calibration I played a scene from Jupiter Ascending to test it and the guys jaw was on the floor the entire demo. He's still talking about it over a month later.
Fright Night (1985) is a very top-heavy Atmos mix. Brad Fidel's score, the club dance songs and several atmospheric sound FX like Jerry Dandridge's giant vampire bat wings and his thumps on the roof over Charlie Brewster's head just soar in the overhead heights!
Terrific list and choices -- I wholeheartedly agree with 'Man of Steel' as, funnily enough, I revisited it on Ultra HD Blu-ray yesterday. What I can't help but nominate is 'Space Jam' on UHD Blu. Suitably impressed with its remastering and definitely its Atmos track 👌 .
Apocalypse Now: Especially in Redux and Final Cut, when Robert Duvall as Kilgore passes over our boys parked on the boat with his recorded voice on loudspeaker saying "Give me back the board, Lance. It was a good board and I like it.", it gives the overheads one hell of a workout!
I'm only interested in video quality and don't care about audio at all. However, I'm still watching this video. Simply, because this guy is able to grab and hold my attention even when he's talking about a subject I don't care about. His videos are always interesting and I always enjoy watching them. Thanks, Adam.
Great video bro! I'm finding that a lot of people have similar lists as far as atmos goes, most people agree that blade runner, ready player one, and dune are all excellent movies for atmos and overall presentation, great video man, hell yeah!
Hi Adam, excellent choices, ‘Man of Steel’ went under. My radar so I appreciate you drawing my attention to it. Godzilla versus Kong was certainly LOUD.
Only time i saw Man of Steel was on a plane playing on the United Airlines screen plugging my headphones into the armrest. So you're saying the 4k will be a better experience than this?
Hello everyone, how do I take movies with Dolby Atmos with more than 7 channels? Most blue-ray is 5.1 or 7.1, the same with what you can watch digital. I have a denon x3800 and I can't find content with more than 7 channels? thank you.
Check the back covers on discs. Many of the Universal, Paramount, Warners and even Lionsgate regular Blu-rays have Atmos, never mind the 4K versions. Stuff like the two Top Gun movies, Candyman (2021), Midway and Ready Player One all carry Atmos on the 1080P versions.
out of your top 10 I have the following Dr Sleep Ready player one (on Blu Ray but it has the same atmos track as the 4K) The matrix (2 & 3 don't interested me at all) The Lord of the rings trilogy Bladerunner 2049 Mad Max fury road (which I picked up for $2 on 4K) Godzilla king of the monsters Pacific ring Batman Vs Superman Godzilla Vs Kong Aquaman
I love the matrix trilogy good to know it's on this list and godzilla king of the monsters batman vs superman and godzilla vs kong man of steel I love that movie it's awesome Dolby atmos heaven
Top 5 that didn't make this list: 1. A Star Is Born 2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1+2 3. The Legend of Tarzan 4. San Andreas 5. Wonder Woman
Can someone help me with the best 4k/dolby vision disc players? I was thinking to get a Series X/PS5 (for an all-in-one experience), but I just found out they don't support DV when using a physical disc.
I think Sony’s labyrinth anniversary edition blew my ear holes mind.... as far as Warner I think matrix and beetle juice are at top of my best sounding ones
My favourite on sound bar atmos lord of the rings indiana jones hobbs and shaw godzilla vs kong spidrman quiet place 1 quiet place 2 space jam nearly have 200 4k movie in my libary cant watch a movie during day time neighbor complain especially with godzilla vs kong just wish tom and jerry got a 4k release
From what I've heard it's quite expensive to put an Atmos track on a 4k. Makes no sense if you advertise it and it's on the disc, but you don't hear any overheads or barely anything. Also kind of annoying when the disc doesn't default to the Atmos. Easy switch, just sayin 🤙
None of this matters if you don't have a multi-channel/speaker sound bars system set up. Don't you think it's worth recommending the upgrade before plugging any of these movies?
Correct me if I'm wrong on this but didn't the blu ray for Fury Road have a terrible atmos track. As in there where like under a dozen times that the atmos speakers were even used. I know I saw something like that from a credible reviewer who actually just tests atmos tracks. Sorry for the vagueness, it's been awhile. And if so, is this a new mix?
can you start saying "hello friends and my best friend".......as your best friend i feel a bit left out and i want people to know i'm your best friend.
SORRY: Ready Player One has no Audio on height level at all ! Switch off the 5.1/7.1 base LS and you will hear… Nothing but silence… Atmos lacks of proven Audio quality Blu-Ray due to cost cutting and time pressure (release day). Aqua Man is even worth !!!
Funny that the Matrix trilogy is mentioned with no mention of the 4th film like it doesn't exist. Probably best we all delete that film from our memories 😂

Adam making helpful and entertaining content as only he can do. Thank you Adam. Shane needs to have you on again.
Shane barely let Adam talk. I didn't like it. I since then unsubscribed from his channel
I'll definitely have to check some of these out. Even on my middling sound bar, the Batman (89) 4k blew me away, so I can't imagine how amazing some of these sound. Thanks for the great content!

Hell Yeah , the opening Sequence with the helicopter rotors
So funny because I was just saying how I feel Man of Steel is so underrated because I was blown away by the audio and it never gets any recognition
I was more blown away by the visuals in Man of Steel, especially the HDR
I'm only interested in video quality and don't care about audio at all. However, I'm still watching this video. Simply, because this guy is able to grab and hold my attention even when he's talking about a subject I don't care about. His videos are always interesting and I always enjoy watching them. Great list Adam! Have all of them in 4K. Love Fury Road, 2049, Godzilla King of Monsters soundtracks. I love the Atmos format.
A very good Atmos experience is the War Of The Worlds remake with Tom Cruise. The audio channels' seperation is really something to experience.
Saving Private Ryan. Honestly the rifle battles & explosion are out of this world
Great video bro! I'm finding that a lot of people have similar lists as far as atmos goes, most people agree that blade runner, ready player one, and dune are all excellent movies for atmos and overall presentation, great video man, hell yeah!

For once I agree with the ranking list. For Warner bros movies I think you are spot on!
Great picks! Keep up the good work brother!
great list. although I think i'm missing something with the Batman v Superman and man of steel. they sound loud and solid but not one of the best.

Great content, will definitely be adding a few to the growing collection
My sound bar, even with simulated up-firing, still sounds better with 5.1 audio to me, so I like that Noland sticks those tracks.
Any newer Godzilla film takes the cake, for sound.
out of your top 10 I have the following
Dr Sleep
Ready player one (on Blu Ray but it has the same atmos track as the 4K)
The matrix (2 & 3 don't interested me at all)
The Lord of the rings trilogy
Bladerunner 2049
Mad Max fury road (which I picked up for $2 on 4K)
Godzilla king of the monsters
Pacific ring
Batman Vs Superman
Godzilla Vs Kong
Aquaman
Even though I thought Mortal Kombat was awful, the Dolby Atmos was really good. Great list.
I love the matrix trilogy good to know it's on this list and godzilla king of the monsters batman vs superman and godzilla vs kong man of steel I love that movie it's awesome Dolby atmos heaven
YES YES I OWN THEM ALL
First rate list. I’d also add Midway.
Need to buy lotr and godzilla vs Kong on 4k br soon.
Great list Adam!
Top 5 that didn't make this list:
1. A Star Is Born
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1+2
3. The Legend of Tarzan
4. San Andreas
5. Wonder Woman
3 Honourable mentions:
1. Shazam!
2. Kong: Skull Island
3. Joker
I have them ALL!!! Great list!
The only problem with Matrix Trilogy disks that they default to just 5.1 and you have to select Atmos track separately. List is 10 out of 10
Aquaman and ready player one does the same as well
@@dominicarroyo6269 oh that's bummer
I always double check. And i double check the settings on the AVR. It sometimes tries to do DTS-X up mixing on an Atmos disc!!
Loved the video and agree 100% on your list. Thanks!
Please do top 10 dolby atmos from Sony
This is the video I am waiting for thank you
amazing content
What is your system made up of ?
Best dolby atmos ever 1. AQUAMAN 2. Pacific Rim
Can someone help me with the best 4k/dolby vision disc players? I was thinking to get a Series X/PS5 (for an all-in-one experience), but I just found out they don't support DV when using a physical disc.
Recommend Panasonic’s UB820. Popular with home theater community.

Great video!! I own them all!! And agree they sound amazing!!
Far more wiser to choose a movie for its soundtrack then choose a movie for it's way it's audio has been dispersed!
Blade Runner 2049 👍

Yes not defaulting to Atmos is annoying. Ready Player One is one that doesn't default to Atmos.
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 how does the DTS sound compared to Atmos on ready player ?
None of this matters if you don't have a multi-channel/speaker sound bars system set up. Don't you think it's worth recommending the upgrade before plugging any of these movies?
Got them all except for mad max, i have it on 3d.
Totally agree 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

All the reviews I’ve seen have praised the Atmos track for Fury Road, I’m sure their is an outlier that doesn’t. Goes with the territory.
@@MovieGuy365 See the FOMO TH-cam video on Dolby Atmos for the negative analysis.
I was unimpressed with Atmos on Bluray too. Not sure if 4K is any better
Don't agree with Godzilla King of the monsters. Bad one for me. All others agree. Except number 10 never seen. Thanks for the review.
u r really crazy if u r not putting THE GODZILLA VS KONG on no.1...m literally shocked 😳
Have you tried watching these movies with the Atmos speakers only and the rest turned off?
The og Space Jam has great atmos, which I didn't expect.
Where’s Zack Snyder’s justice league? You not got the disc yet?
No, it comes out here on Sept 7.
@@MovieGuy365 ok look forward to your review heard good things form people that imported it.
@KELL II Awesome I Pre-ordered excited for it to show up.
do disney 😆
