Hey Ya’ll, sorry for the delayed post this morning!! I’m in Brazil and it’s been an amazing trip!! I’ve caught some Blue Marlin estimated up to 800lbs!! I thought I was fishing again today but the weather changed the plans so since I woke up early I got to work and edited this video for you all!!! I hope you all enjoy!! Tight Lines!!!
Did you fish with Shawn Wallace or Antonio Amaral by any chance Rich? The Royal Charlotte Bank is a special place! Dont ever make the mistake of telling those dudes you want to jig! The Jacks there are insane and will kill you 😂 By the way weve found when fishing the Glades any color swimbait works as long as its Pearl 😂
Hey Rich you probably won’t even see this but just wanted to say thanks for being so consistent with uploading videos. Consistency and diversity really sets you apart from other TH-camrs. Keep on keeping on man I’ll be watching from Kentucky.
Thanks so much for your great comment!! Sorry it took me some time to respond to you!! I’ll try to keep it up another new and different video this Sunday morning! 12/29
Great video. I love the fact that you visibly wet your hand before handling those trout. I can't tell you how many vids I see of people catching rainbows and not wetting their hand before handling the fish. Thanks for that.
I've had a K1 in my Pelican Catch 110 for abt a year now. Absolutely love it. I've fished up to 4-5 hours with it and never had the battery indicator lights drop below 5..
We tried the skin so soft for the no see ums this year with good results. Not spraying strong bug spray is nice. Bought a big jug of it at CVS and put in a small spray bottle
Rich I have the J2. I mount it on the stern of the kayak, that allows me to use the pedal drive and the outboard at the same time. It works great, just need too buy a mount.🐟on
Pro tip, when she's moved to the US make sure to put both your names on tons of stuff and save mail with both your names on it, it 100% helps for the massive amount of paperwork they need in your next phase! :)
Loved this so much. That wind - was it at least warm wind? Reminds me of the gusty wind we get in the Midwest - and right now, it's definitely chilly. Totally can't wait for the Brazil trip episodes! Thank you!
Hey rich. I have been looking at fishing kayaks recently and the one I wanted is the one you have but it’s not sold any more I was wondering if you had any advise for me to find one. Great video
Question about the Bixpy, how much draft does it require and what happens if you drag it through the mud/sand? We love our pedal drives, but the shallows of Florida can be a pain, you are either flutter kicking or paddling or both lol.
It can draft only about a 1 Ft. Like the other day the wind kicked up and the tide dropped really low so it was to shallow all over to use the peddles. Therefore, I used the bixpy and it got me back near the ramp where the water was deep enough to peddle. I almost hit a bull shark in the shallows which was a little spooky. I did hit a couple shallow grass spots and it stopped me for a bit and I had to pull up the engine to clean it quickly then I continued.
Yeah they can be delicious. Next time I’ll bring ice and a cooler to keep a couple. I recently kept some in Sebastian but they were loaded with worms. I like for sunscreen the sun bum mineral sunscreen
Please model best practices for fish-handling. A trout that unhooks itself in the net can (should) be released by lowering the net. FWC rules state: “The taking of photographs after removal of hooks and posing for pictures with Goliath Grouper is not considered an immediately release of the fish. So, you should NOT remove a Goliath Grouper from the water to take pictures. If you want pictures, take them with the fish still in the water.”
I don’t like working that type of spinner bait. It feels so resistant to reeling fast. Have you tried an inline spinner bait? Same flashing effect but you can reel in faster if needed. That first trout looked much larger than 20”. Its body was very fat.
FK! When you hook a fish. You know ,is not going to make it. Respect that fish's life. Take it home eat it. At least give it to someone that will eat it.

G'morning Rich! Perfect timing 🍺
Good morning!! I hope you enjoy Richard!

lol you don’t need to wet your hand for a speckled trout. It’s not even a trout, they are in the drum family
Thanks so much for watching!! Tight Lines!!!

Hey rich. I have been looking at fishing kayaks recently and the one I wanted is the one you have but it’s not sold any more I was wondering if you had any advise for me to find one. Great video

Is this Chokoloskee?
Do you prefer Everglade city or Chokaloskee?
No worries 🐟on
What kayak rack do you use for 4runner? I have a 4runner and auto pilot kayak but no rack yet.
It’s just a rack I bought off Amazon for my year model 4runner. Nothing special.
Let’s gooooo
What kayak is that may I ask?

The part of me that never paddled or pedaled a kayak in my life thinks this is cheating.
😅😊

Yeah but if I don’t have ice or a cooler to put it in. It’s going to spoil by the time I get back.
You always talk too much and fish too Little!!
All your comments on this channel are hating. Go catch some fish, grow up and come back when you have something to add.
