GREAT DAY ON THE WATER. THOSE WERE ALL VERY NICE FISH. YOU KNOW HOW TO CATCH THEM. CATCH YOU NEXT TRIP. REALLY ENJOY WATCHING YOU CATCH THEM CONVICTS...
Man I keep accidentally watching saltwater sheepshead videos , some day I'll travel 1000 miles and catch some saltwater fish you'll have me ready lol, thanks for sharing
Never seen anyone use urchin to catch sheepshead. I'm aware they predate them, just never saw anyone go through the effort to trim and hook them. Interesting!
Epic trip! Made it to the Shackleford Jetty this past week and got into the blues pretty thick but managed to pull a few grays and small sheepshead. Have to try the sea urchins around the bridge one of these days! Thanks for sharing! Nice sheep’s and black drum!
The prawns ( shrimp) you are using for bait are about $17.99 -$19,99- for about 3/4 of a lb in Canada.....l use the smaller size for catfish and bluegill's - perch any bass that's biting and walleye, crappy - l do fairly decent for a 72+ years old lady... so keep up the good work and enjoy yourself....
Thanks for your content and tips, very helpful. I love sheepshead, great table fare but I got to drive a long way to catch em. I tried chasing tails for fresh sea urchins last time I was in your area, they said they don't sell em anymore. It was great to see you harvest some. Where do you find mud crabs at low tide in your area at low tide, I keep a rake with me. Thanks.
i’ve been watching your video for about two years now. It never gets old. I also love seeing you miss Fish makes me feel like I’m doing something right. Can you please tell me the name of your conventional reels. God bless you bro. Love your work.
I don’t know what Imma do with you “Kilter”? You always be teasing me with these big G…..A……P in your video postings. Don’t know if you know but, everything about how you fish, where you fish and what you fish for, is sooooo identical to how I grew up learning how to fish. Even down to where you target the drums and sheepshead. So, with that being said, you are amongst a very few, if not the only fishing TH-camr that I can clinically relate to when it comes to fishing. So, please find a way to give some more.😂😂😂😂😂😂 !!!!!!!!
No offense, they sell double swivel when using two leader lines so it wouldn't tangle as much. Also, make one leader longer than the other at least 6 inches longer than the other to separate the leader and bait. Good luck.
I would kill to have you on the water with me one time just to see what I am doing wrong 😂 I’m fishing the same area just can’t stay consistent unfortunately
Get something comfortable for you, I prefer conventional reels and jigging rods. Most people use spinning reels. You can find my setups in the description. They are pricey but are built to last.
@@ToddSchmidt64 I like to soak a mullet rod for red drum and if the action is slow I will soak two sheepshead/black drum rods. When fishing is hot I switch back to one.
I have fished for sheepshead most of my life...never heard anything about using urchins for bait. So, at 85 I'm still learning.
Think it illegal to use in glorida
@@jamesa9lpiopatton419you can keep three sea urchins in Florida.
What bait shop keep, sea urchins and mud crabs. Are those the evasive greens crabs 🦀. They are huge
@@jamesa9lpiopatton419
No it’s not.
What part of Florida do you fish?

The puffer fish was really interested in the camera.....LOL
I believe you need to bring another cooler for fish 😂

@@obxsurfandsoundfishing4085 Missing sheepshead is inevitable, stay at it. Check the descriptions for the setups I use. Thanks for watching!
Btw, your son has the best sweatshirt. Lol. Go pack!
Where do you find the sea urchins at ??
Where do you get urchins for bait?
The one you netted is a tank !
For this time of year, definitely
The cold weather is going to make it tougher. However, I catch bigger ones in the cold.
It’s a tougher bite, but that makes it more fun.
@ I’ve been watching your vids for a while and you slay the sheeps no matter the weather!!
I'm still trying to get my first sheep. You are making it look easy! It is not....

I detect a young man's voice has dropped. Great fishing and underwater cam.
Noticed that appears you plunge your scissors into the side of the fish behind gill. Curious as to why?
Where are your spots i cant find sheepshead anywhere. Also great vids
Let's go fishing!

I'm a beginner what rods and reels would u recommend

Nice. Giving them the food they are used to will surely get those sheepshead. Isn't there any Tautog?
I haven’t seen many tautog yet this year. They are hit or miss most of the time down here.
How many rods do you use at a time?

How do you get away with tying off to the bridges? Nice content, I've watched many of your vids.
That's what I was wondering too! I would like to do the same but definitely don't need a fine either 😅
Is it illegal in NC?
So the best time is the changing of tides ? High or low ?? Beginning at this game love your videos
@@russellrichardson1526 tide movement is key, set up and fish. No particular tide, just fish and see if they are biting.
Are those fish there all winter ?
They are around all winter, just not as many and the bite is slow
