Congrats on the shiny. I went way over odds for a shiny milcery at 1,000+ eggs in shield. And I hope that record doesn't break. And I had the shiny charm. Still collecting eggs in pokemon violet and it's a mixed batch of pawmi, shroodle, finizen and characdet so I don't get bored and to complete my shiny team hunt for the dlc.

My hunt for shiny hisuian Growlithe was torture, I hatched 1000 eggs and then I actually got it but I was spamming photos and my game crashed and I lost it and the eggs and I had to hatch even more but I eventually got it
People who shiny hunt crap in the overworld while trying to hatch eggs are being kind of dumb because any time an egg hatches the wild Pokémon gather around you and force you into battle animation after the hatch. Super slow

shiny hunting is more challenging then chasing legendries or facing elite 4
for sure!! shiny hunting can take aaaages especially depending on the game!

I'm currently watching this while trying for a shiny finizen and characdet. They are too hard for me to go for in the wild, I've tried.
finizen is super purple but water outbreaks are a PAIN. charcadet is definitely SUPER hard to see!!
My shiny magikarp in Shield took 5,052 eggs. My longest is jangmo-o in Ultra Sun, at over 7k eggs. Both were masuda method, rng just hated my guts
