Congratulations on this major achievement! I totally get putting your mind to work and throwing yourself into such a big project so you have sth to do and don't have to think about other things. I did that when I went through a major depression in winter. My favorite shiny? Ohhhh controversial opinion for sure, but it's the Paldean tauros, specifically the water and fire type. When I first got Violet, I went like "I want them all in shiny!" And today, I finished that mission by finally finding my fire tauros in Scarlet. I love them so much. I also really love all the snake pokemon in this game, seviper, silicobra, sandaconda. Have a bit of a soft spot for the weird ones, like dragalge or eelektross (have not hunted tynamo yet, though. I'll just attack one by one until my pokemon refuses to attack and hope it doesn't take forever. will save my eyes).

I remember not having to deal with eye strain during the time I once got shiny Tynamo quite some time ago during an outbreak I had at one time. That was because I let the feature known as “The auto battle feature won’t kill the shiny” do all the work. It took me a few tries at the time but I eventually did get it. Plus to me the shiny of its final evolution is one I like.
I cannot imagine doing a full shiny living 'dex in these games. Completing this challenge on such a laggy and glitchy game is honestly an incredible feat. Awesome video!

I'm so sorry for your dad's passing, but I've been messing around playing the game, but now I'm looking at beating the game so I can complete a shiny dex
I just recently started my shiny paldean dex journey. As of right now I have a total of 62 out of the 385 I'll be catching. (I don't have Violet so unfortunately I won't be able to hunt their paradox pokemon.) So far the roughest hunt I've done has to be the Jigglypuff hunt. Looking at pictures of shiny Jigglypuff I convinced myself that I would be able to see it being slightly darker and boy was I wrong. I found a shiny Igglybuff in the first sandwich and after that I was looking for Jigglypuff for an additional 8 or 9 hours. I found out the hard way that if you are in a pokemon outbreak, the weather will not affect that pokemon. I was excited when the wind picked up and was ready for the Jigglypuff to start flying away leaving only the shiny behind, but then none of them flew away. A sad realization indeed. I finally found my shiny Jigglypuff and when I realized I really could not tell the difference from a distance besides looking directly at its eyes I kept going for another 10-15 minutes and found a second one leaving me wondering how many had I passed by because I was mostly looking for a darker shade one? I would have to say at least 2 but am dreading scrubbing through my footage to look. Props to you for having completed it. I hope I can complete mine before the DLC comes out but I have a long way to go still. Maybe afterwards I will attempt Legends Arceus :)
I think they got rid of the shiny sound because of the de spawn liklihood. When zooming around you would likely come across a number of shinies that would despawn but you wouldn’t notice if you weren’t notified

yeah the lag is brutal especially if your hunting flebebe or its evo's in the wild. I will probably try to create some content around the DLCS later this year and will likely stream them on my twitch channel.
Yesterday I stumbled across a completely random Shiny Dunsparce (no sandwich), and it actually evolved into the 3 segment form 😱 I was so caught off guard by that. No I just need two scarlet exclusive Paradox shinies to complete my Gen 9 living Dex. I'm not going for the full Dex jet, because I already have everything I need for home. But maybe I'll continue to work at the Paldea shiny living Dex like you did, just because this game is so much fun 😊

I know what you’re going through, My Mom died before Pokemon came to North America with Red/Blue and it kept me occupied too, I commend you for doing such I got most of mine from PLA and I’m trying to do a Shiny living dex on Home now, and I promised myself as a kid that I’d be a “Pokemon Master” by the time I’d have a kid.. and now I’m about to be a Dad 😅 but having all Shinies will count.

The easiest way I've found to shiny hunt Flabebe was to wait for a thunderstorm and then go the little flower spot besides the Flying Titan mountain. The thunderstorm blows away all non-shiny Flabebe, so it's very helpful. Meanwhile, slakoth easily outbreaks. After resetting many times I've found it a lot. ... Now Sunkern it seems like I'll have to Masuda Method, *sigh*...

I only learned about shinies in the first place from Legends Arceus, where I have done a lot of hunting. But honestly don’t like that shinies have no audio cue in SV, so I’m not sure I’m ever gonna hunt again…

I tried shiny hunting tatsugiri... You are the goat
The easiest way I've found to shiny hunt Flabebe was to wait for a thunderstorm and then go the little flower spot besides the Flying Titan mountain. The thunderstorm blows away all non-shiny Flabebe, so it's very helpful.
Meanwhile, slakoth easily outbreaks. After resetting many times I've found it a lot.
... Now Sunkern it seems like I'll have to Masuda Method, *sigh*...

@@WildOneSix there's 19 of them that are Shiny available, but you have to catch 18 since you've gotten the Fancy Pattern already. I'm currently hunting for them!

I am also shiny hunting the vivillon forms and was about to comment the same thing, but seen this thread. So far i got polar, fancy, monsoon, modern, marine, garden, and ocean in shiny and non shiny forms. It was a little unclear, did you catch all alternative forms including gender?
I had a meltdown looking for barboaches for a TM I can't imagine shiny hunting them 😭
I only learned about shinies in the first place from Legends Arceus, where I have done a lot of hunting. But honestly don’t like that shinies have no audio cue in SV, so I’m not sure I’m ever gonna hunt again…

I've given it a thought and gamefreak could have got rid of the sound and kept the sparkle. Think about it. They already have the terra pokemon that shine and they could have made a less intense version of it for shines.
