This is actually strange tuning that I kinda made up in my attempt to make it a little beefier on acoustic. You start in C standard, then tune a bunch of strings to A# so you get:
A# A# A# D# G A#
(The 4th and 5th strings - A and D in standard - are in unison)
C Standard is usually a good bet to start for most Kyuss/early Queens songs, but if your guitar has light strings you might get some rattle.

This is in a very strange tuning, but I liked the huge sound I got from it. You start in C standard and tune the E and A strings all to A# so you get:
A# A# A# D# G A#
Some might call this cheating, but it sure is fun!

Phone app says the first notes are an A, so a drop A tuning...? Are you using thicker strings to detune that low?

yeah I'm doing a weird Drop A# tuning thing I made up in my attempt to make it a little beefier on acoustic. You start in C standard, then tune a bunch of strings to A# so you get:
A# A# A# D# G A#
(The 4th and 5th strings - A and D in standard - are in unison)
I don't.... think I used particularly higher gauge strings (much to my guitars chagrin 😂) I think they're the custom light d'addario acoustics so 11-52 (at least that's what I usually get).
On my electric that I have set up for C-Standard I use some Jazz Medium electric strings which are 13-56 and they're pretty beefy, but only because that guitar lives in C.
