You know, that's not a terrible idea... I don't know if i would call that a 'slow song' tbh, but it is pretty sparse in terms of instruments so there's a lot of room for guitar embellishments to fill it in. One thing i have with a lot of modern pop is that the production is the main focus a lot of the time... It feels like once you strip away the production there's not a whole lot of 'song' happening. The birds of a feather song has nice vocals and good production... But it's the same 4 chords throughout the entire song. The chorus only lifts because new instruments get added in, which can be a challenge when you only have 1 instrument to work with 😅. But... That is part of the challenge i guess. We'll see if i can make my voice pretty enough 😂

Hmm... That one wasn't really on my list tbh. I did do a cover of 'River of Deceit' from Above from Above but wasn't particularly inspired to keep going through the album. I'll throw it on the pile of song suggestions though!

Honestly kinda same... I was in high school when they were first breaking out and I regret not cluing in lol. I'm kinda bad with suggestions as i tend to learn a bunch of stuff but then get stuck on a song a day before i go to record and promptly forget about the other stuff 😅 I'll add it to the pile of songs though!

Thanks! I decided to go the aggressive route on the vocal delivery for this one too which made my life more interesting 😅 Songs like this really make it apparent why this would be way easier if i let myself comp different takes, but that would defeat the point of the channel really lol.

😅 Alight I guess I can open the curtain a bit. Main progression is a C5, Am7, D7sus, C5. You're going to hold the G and C on the D and G strings pretty much the entire time except for on the D7sus Occasionally goes to a C5, A7, D5, C5 Chorus uses a full C chord and you'll hold the E on the B string for most of it too. The little fill is just D E G D E Now go forth and play!
