      I always wondered why after the dark one called the light one brother and equal, the light one rejected him and allowed that resentment to grow, rather than try to resolve the feelings and bring a peace between them.

  • @1323WTF
    @1323WTF ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thank You again for another excellent presentation. Well, this one is interesting... it does not get into the Old Greek version of a similar tale, in which Zeus has the Titan Prometheus create humans from the mud of the earth, but when Prometheus likes the beings he made, but Zeus just wants to watch the "new animals", Prometheus wants them to grow more and thrive beyond the other animals. Prometheus stole the secret of Fire from the Olympians, and gave it to the Humans he had Created by order of the "All-Father", so they could progress and be warm, safe, and creative them selves. We know the tale that Zeus was pissed off by this and Strapped Prometheus to the Caucus mountains, to be torn by a great Eagle that ate the Titan's liver everyday. It has always seemed Obvious to me that this story was later crafted into the "Fall from Heaven" tale, and that Prometheus was made into "The Devil", 'Lucifer, the Light bringer' who disobeyed and was cast down to eternal punishment. (until Heraclese set him free much later) Anyway, this one is an interesting version of the Story of Creation from a different cultural background.
    The 4 cards seen in this video would imply catastrophic potential to me if I drew them in a Reading. Interesting choice to make. Mat Good Luck be with You ~

    • @Crowhag
      @Crowhag  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! The myth of Prometheus is very dear to my heart. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. As for the cards, I chose them only as symbols for the Devil's story here, so no worries. Blessings and good luck to you, dear one.

    I have a theory that "God" is a split personality. One side is the "good" side, the side that made things happen as they were intended to be. The other side, the "bad" side was all the things that didn't work out as intended. And throughout time the story morphed into the version most of us grew up with.

    Great summary. Although I would highly recommend the book by Yuri Stoyanov on this topic. The Earth Diver Creation myth has no real connection to Indo-European cultures, and its roots are to be found in Siberia. Likewise for the antagonism between a “good” and “bad” creator. You see that even in some Native American mythologies.
    The most probable vector for this into Europe is from an Altaic source.

    Yet this version of god constantly rejects his brother, while this version of the devil desired recognition by his brother, only to become a tool for god. The devil in this seems to eventually come to turms with his role as such. I think this is because he realizes if the devil's brother dies then the devil would b alone.

    Satan and God are more than brothers. They are two sides of the same coin. Satan is God's darkside, his shadow. In Isaiah 45:7, God says, " I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."
    If God creates evil, what need is there for a devil?
