I’m coming up on my 10 year anniversary this spring of VSG in Mexico. I could not get insurance coverage even though I was 100 plus overweight. I had no health issues so they said NO. I paid out of pocket as a single Mom but lost 120 lbs which was well worth the money ($4500). Taking my health into my own hands was empowering. All I can say is Health Insurance Companies suck!
I’ve been on monjouro for 4 months. My A1C down 3.6 points but have only lost about 8 pounds. On 7.5 injection. I try to work out 30 min day as I’m waiting on knee replacement next month. You’re doing great by the way!!!!
I am so sorry I am so late! We moved from our other house and coming here to this house. So we didn't have WIFI here. I love you so much and I am so glad you are in my life! Keep on trucking!
I am currently on Oz and the mental change toward food to me is not a shortterm "tool" to change my eating habits or relationship with food. I am one of the fortunate people to not suffer any digestive issues so for me it is now a nessity just like a diabetic taking insulin or another med for a health issue. The food inpulse control is everything to me and others.

Semaglutide gave me a pancreatitis reaction. It hurt so bad. I am on Mounjaro for the second month. At least it doesn't hurt. Thank you for your video.
That was my biggest worry - I’m on Mounjaro for the first week now with no issues so I’m really glad to hear you’re okay on it, I know pancreatitis is horrendously painful. Good luck on the rest of your journey 🙏🏻💕
Hello Lauren I think you’re doing great I love your videos you’re so down to earth like a sister from another mother lol, keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lauren I work in Pharmacy and it's so crazy what people are willing to pay out of pocket for these types of things Mounjaro $1,200, Ozempic and Wegovy. Although Wegovy is really hard to get we haven't had any other than the lowest dose in for months.
It’s so weird because here in the U.K. you’ll pay no more than £209 per month privately including health coaching and a full online programme of support. The way US pharma companies hike the price of medications to people is sort of criminal. Please note the payment above is for a private prescription, no insurance, no NHS subsidy. In Europe at this moment in time, all private healthcare is a fraction of what you have to pay and it’s always such a shock when you first meet someone or read something about the vast difference. It’s not as if taxes are any lower (than the U.K. at least) as far as I know either, so it seems horrendously unfair that people have to sacrifice so much, sometimes just for the basics. We feel so sorry for US people here from that point of view, I just don’t know how they justify selling the exact same brand name pharmaceuticals at such a high cost to the quality of people’s lives 💔
When coming off these medications keep in mind it takes 5 weeks to completely leave the body. You're unlikely to notice little difference until a month after stopping. Stay strong and keep up the good health.
@vickiecollins2807 People have different experience in which I agree with. But, all anyone has to do is research the drug on medical websites. It clearly states that it takes 5 weeks for it to completely clear your system.

UHC pulled the plug on my coverage at the end of oct. because I am not type 2 diabetic. I have 3 shots left and I guess that is the end of the line, which is depressing since I have lost 65 pounds. It's completely insane to me that insurance would prefer to wait until someone develops an awful chronic disease before they are deserving of help.
Try something else like Phentermine. $8.79 a month without insurance. There are other things that work way better than these Diabetes drugs. Some people lose like 8 pounds in 4 months. Wth? That is totally not worth it when there are more effective alternatives.
Because we have free nhs. So they no we wouldn't take it on at that price in the US. But it proves that the US is getting ripped off and they can do it cheaper. I just paid 145.
@LauraCampbell-j4i what im saying is there's a big difference between 120 and $1000 so there's room for improvement. Also there are alot of people in my group that get it free nhs but more that pay.
just stop that crap. get used to being hungry. have an apple and a bottle of water if it gets bad. you can eat less. I lost 106 lbs in a year. walking, eating all foods I like, just a lot less.
My insurance paid for Ozempic but won’t pay for mounjaro. I got mounjaro for 5 months with coupon but had to go back to ozempic. I like mounjaro way better.
I read the other day that the Monjouro manufacturer is going after compound pharmacists. You look great and I am proud of the progress you’ve made on your journey!
You could have kept moving up in doses and just split the doses yourself. You'd have a stockpile of mounjaro by now! Its awesome that you only needed 2.5 to have progress. I wish i could have stayed there. Im nervous about taking high doses, but i know i have to do what i need to do.

The best thing I could've done was take myself off mounjaro. It wasn't for me, at all. literally have 5 months of mounjaro that I will not take. Hello! IPlease could you share the name of the pharmacy that your Dr. uses to make the compound? My insurance won’t cover even having a type 2 Diabetes (as the rest of my family).
Thanks for sharing your journey. Hiw did the CBD help? It has only traces of THC so shouldnt be addictive or give a high. Ive tried it before for pain but it didnt seem to make a difference painwise. It did with sleep. Re Ozempic I was nauseous on both the 2.5ml as well as the 5ml of Ozempic. I cut back to 2.5mls again as it was working and the 5ml was out of stock in the pharmacies for weeks as its being used for non diabetics as well. The nausea and fainting spells never went away. Im going to give it another go at end of May. I have to lose weight as need 2 hip replacements. Some of the digestive problems persisted after I came off it. Kefir yoghurt has helped.

Yeah, I went from .25mg to .5mg of Ozempic and I thought the .25mg dose was just as good without the side effects which happened to be heightened anxiety in my case.
Insane how you have to pay $1200 for it. A pen here in the UK is like £145 ($188) Thankfully I can get it on the NHS here but I also know a supplier who sells it via a different brand name for like £100 if needed.

My husband on sendexa for weight loss and are insurance is crazy because are deductible is 5000 ans we have not meet it it going to cost him 1,400 month we had enough on are health spending card to cover the first month idk how we are going to do after that we just got a new family new so were starting over with car payments
In Australia it,s 150 dollars a month ..and things are cheaper in America but the wages are not as hight but there is no way that drug would cost 500 dollars a month
Brand name drugs out of pocket here in the US are astronomically high. It costs MORE than $500 per month without insurance coverage (most insurance companies won’t cover).
So many side effects with these shots that were intended ONLY for diabetics. It's crazy how our world goes and we are desperate to be healthy. My skinny husband is a bad diabetic and was prescribed Mounjaro, although it controlled his sugar and his A1C went down, it was HORRIBLE for him with stomach pain, couldn't poop, depressed, etc..he finally had enough and changed to something else. It might work for some but the side effects coming out daily are SCARY.
I'm not diabetic but I can't lose weight I work out I eat clean I carry weight in my stomach around my organs which caused me to have fatty liver...other ppl need it to alit if times meds are used off label and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it
I am type two diabetes. I won’t do any of those shots because I’ve heard so many bad side effects from it but I do do the CBDCBD full spectrum has been life-changing for me and my inflammation and my anxiety.
I'm with you!! I was given a sample of Rybelsus tablets but decided not to take after reading the side effects. I already have too many stomach issues to add to it. I'm insulin resistant and have just hit 6.6 A1C last month, but am going to try to lower my numbers on my own. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that people are willing to feel sick all the time to lose weight!🤷♀️
Long term type 2 diabetic on insulin with bad IBS. I was scared I would not cope with the side effects of ozempic. Thing is I barely had any symptoms at all. It effects everyone differently.
I love you girl and you have a large platform so I just want to correct some of your Misinformation. This medication does not cause severe digestive issues on most people there are people like that do have side effects from it and those people need to speak to their doctors, but for the most part, that’s not the case for most people And the stomach paralysis is a thing with diabetic people as diabetes can cause that and those are the people that came out saying that this medication caused it which to me its about $$$ It was never seen in any of the trials. GLP ones have been out for almost 20 years, they are not new, just improved. These peptides that are produced in your gut and the reason they help us is because it helps regulate our gut hormones for those of us who have dysregulation it’s def not a medication for everyone but the stomach paralysis I would take that with a grain of salt and who is claiming that. This medication is definitely just a tool you do have to eat right and you do have to exercise and if you are someone who takes it and you can’t eat at all on them and you have severe side effects then this medication is probably not for you because it’s not supposed to feel that way .

Did you ever lose any hair while on the drug?
I started with 2.5 for 4 weeks. Now 5 mg for 3 weeks and sickness is like 2 days really bad and 4 overall. Im happy down from 211 to 196. What to do-for sickness? Stomach so ill. Please let me know whatya think. Ty
Goodluck. Im starting soon 😅
@@Ydnew51 Ot certainly will limit hunger more than trulicity and depending on side affects is really the only reason why a person would 1) not have much they don’t over come? 2 ) deal with the negative feeling whatever they may be as the mental positives out-way the side affects. 3) For me I have just gone to 2.5 mg for this week after 4 weeks at 2.5 then 3 weeks at 5mg amd for me the 5 mg made me just ill with cramps amd that was all but O just went back to 2.5 for this week to see if my body will handle with no issues then ill push back to the 5mg. I would just say we all want to lose weight NOW. If you feel any side affects at 2.5mg then maybe stay there a few more weeks before moving higher depending on how you feel and it will all come from all the you tube stuff I have chewed. This is a good person to listen to.!

My husband on sendexa for weight loss and are insurance is crazy because are deductible is 5000 ans we have not meet it it going to cost him 1,400 month we had enough on are health spending card to cover the first month idk how we are going to do after that we just got a new family new so were starting over with car payments
Hi how much pounds you lost? Months?
Finally I can watch. 😂❤
Hello probably by know you already know zepbound was approved and insurance will cover I’m going to start next month.
Why don’t you take weagovy
Can you suggest an enzyme?
How can you fast with low blood sugar ?
I didn’t know you could go up to 5mg.
Hi Lauren
So many side effects with these shots that were intended ONLY for diabetics. It's crazy how our world goes and we are desperate to be healthy. My skinny husband is a bad diabetic and was prescribed Mounjaro, although it controlled his sugar and his A1C went down, it was HORRIBLE for him with stomach pain, couldn't poop, depressed, etc..he finally had enough and changed to something else. It might work for some but the side effects coming out daily are SCARY.
Is he ... skinny fat ? No way a normal and healthy weight of skinny can get debits.
Skinny fat? What is that? He is 170 has been diabetic for 20 yrs, bad one too, you don't have to be "fat" to be diabetic.

@@cooparchive7857 I know a little bitty 7 year old girl that is my daughter in laws niece and she's a really bad diabetic
I'm not diabetic but I can't lose weight I work out I eat clean I carry weight in my stomach around my organs which caused me to have fatty liver...other ppl need it to alit if times meds are used off label and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it
@@cooparchive7857Plenty of type 1 diabetics are thin.
What?? I love that you are a smoker
Does nuvita increase your appetite like cannabis?
No thank the lord lol
To be clear: your CBD is >0.3% THC, is it not? So, legally THC-free.
LEGALLY yes ! Per the farm bill
So awesome
Yeah but in some states like California whatever you buy most growers tell you how it’s grown.
Home Depot sells a plastic shield to keep squirrels 🐿️ off your 🐦 feeder ❤.. if that’s still a problem 😅
Why don’t you see how much your Doctor charges.
PCOS is associated with hair loss.
My friend gets it through patient assistance and pays nothing. Your income can be quite a bit.
I have a question. Why do skydivers wear safety helmets?
You look great
Mounjaro is $1100 per month and Ozempic costs $1000 a month.
November 2023??? But it’s only October 😑
Gastroparesis, however, diabetes can also cause this.
Thankyou for giving me this information !! Always learning 🫶🧡 super useful
It’s a great drug but not not sustainable in the long term. You will automatically go back to bad eating habits and your vices.
Nov 2023 is not here yet so you must have ment to say nov 2022
You know THC makes you hungry.
