I got one as an upgrade from my rs3m 2020. I love how fasr it is and the purple interiors make it the greatest toy ever. Love it so much. Would highly recommend it. Also the hard carry case is sweet for carrying it in my hoody

I basically already have this cube. Love it.
Pro tip for everybody who already has a WRM 2021, but wanting this without having to pay full price. Here's what I did: I bought the RS3 M maglev, completely disassembled the center pieces and swapped the blue part from the tensioning system including the screw plus magnets with the "regular ones" which are in the WRM 2021. Fits 100%.
Then you have a WRM 2021 maglev plus a regular RS3M 2020. :)

@@curiousNicgreat idea. But from a marketing point of view, I think it wouldn't make sense. Why sell a cheep replacement kit, if you can sell a way more expensive cube.

Neither. If you want a heavier puzzle with purple internals get maglev. If you want lighter with black internals get the regular.
I really liked watching the solves while you talk over it, would you consider just posting solves to watch

9:21 - I have similar feeling in maglev RS3M, not to the extent to spinning in the other way, but the cube is more blocky. I guess the reason could be as the pieces lifted up in corner cuts, the strength is in proportion to the inverse square of distance instead of linear in springs, so the force increases drastically
yea, no spring noise/exponential tensions instead of linear seem to be the only differences for maglev cubes
I have this and the Yo cube (wrm 2021) and I can tell the difference. This one is slightly more solid feeling and turns/glides easier. I have my maglev set up with weight 5 and silk. It's my fav cube.
Event if it isn't for the maglev tech, I might just get it for the purple internals. It looks so cool! (The custom purple one from the GAN infinity line is costs way too much)

What is your opinion on learning algs using a giiker cube and Tao Yu's alg trainer?
I've been thinking about getting a giiker cube to learn TTLL and TSLE that way.
They could be useful but after using all of my smart cubes I don't ever use them for learning algorithms. It's mainly to time myself and see what algorithms are causing trouble.

I bought this wrm maglev 2021 but I feel the magnets are too weak. Its already on setting 1 which supposed to be strongest. Is there a way to make magnets stronger?
This appeals to me because I have had bad a experience with springs. My GTS3M springs are extremely noisy even after lube and flipping the springs.
Yeah I've got noisy springs, lube didn't work, just got my gts3m last year, it's now my main but might wait a year or two before getting this edition!
I just need that purple plastic! That will end my 3x3 collection.

I'm not sure if they are the same springs, but it should be close if not the same.

No. I default to white if I don't see anything right away on others. I would say I do white 90% of the time and take advantage of easy crosses or pairs on other colors when obvious.

Any seep is good. Put everything on the tightest or highest setting And then just back off from there until you like it

I think I'll skip this one, I too like light puzzles however I'm still on the 356 X, the 11m Pro is lighter but I never got used to it because I keep coming back to the 356 X.
The main reason I'm skipping though is I find nothing wrong with springs and I do love set distances from the core and not having to deal with screws. While I can do screw distances fine and I only had one or 2 cross thread issues with cheaper cubes, I find screws more time consuming.
One thing you didn't mention as an advantage though, well you mentioned it but didn't say it's an advantage, that is you don't need separate spring sets it's all adjustable in the cube. I think this is the biggest advantage and might swing me to getting one if GAN made one, but I'm still not sold on the idea. It sounds cool though, very cool.
GAN's new mini m pro and the cheaper 12 Leap also don need change nuts
@@mikealstom0631 yeah I guess that's true, even the 11m pro you don't need to change nuts, didn't really think about the modern tensioning. Makes sense he didn't mention it then. So I guess it's all hype but I can't help thinking surely they wouldn't do this if it didn't improve it subtley in some way.
@@Commander_ZiN I have yet to try it, but I believe the main difference we might see would be the feeling when turning if I had to guess. I'm getting this cube simply because my favorite color is purple. Ill probably end up putting my spare springs in it when I get it LOL
@@billydoright2050 I ordered a GAN12 instead. GAN does custom colours too sometimes, they do a purple on their Infinity if I can recall correcty.

I wonder how these maglev cubes will work long term. If I remember correctly, magnets which repel each other constantly will lose their magnetic strength much quicker than if they are attracting. Neodymium magnets are much stronger than other types, and are also more susceptible to demagnetizing. I have some magnetic artwork from 2008 with repulsive neodymium magnets I will be checking on to see if this is the case.
I read online that these will last 10-20 years because of the magnet type
From studies I have found the magnets do not lose their strength in any recognizable capacity for hundreds of years.

Think of other things you would use fine motor skills for. If you had a pen that was lighter or one that was heavier you might have more/less control and also more/less fatigue. This could also be for keyboard and typing (The amount of pressure or distance each key needs to be pressed).

It very much applies to individual turns. Not only the weight but also How it is distributing. It's more towards the outside of the cube centrifugal force which makes the initial part of the turn more difficult but can make the algorithms flow more nicely because it can continue turning. With relating it back to the weight of a pen, it's also how the way there is distributed more towards the tip towards the back or in the middle.
Doing 100 solves/day I can say that hands will be very tired, and by that all times, averages will suffer. I main it now instead of Gan 12 maglev, almost same feeling but at much better price. It's a bit uncontrollable.

Neither is better. It depends on if you want a lighter cube with primary intervals or heavier and purple.

Are the piece between the normal 2021 version the same? I still cant decide between the maglev or getting the mag core version and testing maglev with the rs3m for cheapness etc
I believe they can be swapped out. Last thing I swapped was the 2021 with the AI cube and it worked perfectly. I am fairly certain the only difference in the maglev is magnets instead of springs.

The tornado is smaller. The WRm is more stable. Remember that there is no cube for more aggressive turning and any cube still leading to catching.

Possibly. It wouldn't be anything difficult. Just put magnets in instead of the springs.
Maglev on even-layered cubes sounds like a bit of a conundrum... As for 5x5 and 7x7 - they'd have to deal with the smaller centre pieces so I'm wondering if magnets at this stage would be too inflexible. Overall, even though I really don't think that lubricating springs is in any way as difficult as some seem to make it sound, it's nice to see that magnets are cheap again after the last year's price spike.
They should have just sold maglev kit for their WRM 2021. I guess the purple core is their other selling point.

That's near impossible to say as the cubes are different and the WRm is adjustable. I would not get the maglev though.

You forgot less Friction is on Maglev
No, there really isn't less friction on Maglev. That's a misconception that people say and unfortunately is spreading. The springs don't really have much of any Friction to the Puzzle and the pieces cause 99% of the contact. Because of that and because the pieces are still in contact with each other the friction is pretty much the exact same on Maglev puzzles on Spring puzzles.
I could have saved 3 dollars by DIYing the maglev but I need the purple lol
