Noise is a cracked sparkplug coil insulation arking on head down sparkplug hole at very top under cover , pull top cover (plastic held on with Allen key cap screws) then with engine going carefully prise each C.O.P. coil pack up (one at a time) and listen for change in idle ...should become rougher... if it does, move to next cyl until you find the culprit where it doesn't effect engine idle by quickly pulling on and off. You may even be able to see it arking in hole as you pull coil. If you inspect this coil /s... you should find fault, I. E. cracked insulting boot or coil housing. buy new coil $$$ or replace the lot. Motor will run a lot beer / cheaper. NB you will hear the ticking noise as you do this check and you can verify this by swapping faulty coil/s to a different cylinder and re checking. This will stop motor faring around under load ( very frustrating until short found !).
Just ticking from the injectors they all sound like this. If you give it a rev and the ticking gets louder or turns in a knock somehow you've got problems then
best way to see if it is injectors is to use a screwdriver as a stethoscope, and listen to the fuel rail, and then the engine head. If the fuel rail is ticking, its the injectors.
You damn fool, 300k + kms...sounds fine to me , give it a good oil change and filter and then look at the wheels that go around the belt , one could be noisy , they are cheap and easy to replace
I have the same sort of noise. i found my one comes from behind the motor to the trans bell housing. i removed the exhaust manifold cover to pin point it cause that shit thing throws sound everywhere. i got under my BA and sprayed some lube on the flywheel and that changed the sound. for me it intermittent when the car is warm and mostly comes on in park or neutral. i have had it come on in drive and it gets my D for drive flashing on the dash forcing the car into limp mode. car drives and sounds great and shifts fine till hits normal running temp just below half at say 11 oclock then goes to shit once i stop then start it up again. im investigating the temperature sensor line and possibly torque convertor or flywheel. i have 3 tranny codes come up. i got a service on trans done all looked ok inside a few dmall shavings on the magnet nothing much good oil color. i also have a independent trans cooler.
Hi mate have you found out what the cause of your problem was? I’ve got the exact same thing going on right up the back of the engine down the bottom in the bell area. Only happens when the car warms up and in neutral or park it’s been pissing me off for ages
Mines the same asked every ford face i know they say its a standard sound.. it was doing my head in hard...theres alot of moving metal bruv dont sweat... mates dad had on for 15 years didnt miss
I think he is talking about another sound which the video isn't showing, but the sound that comes across on video is most likely the injectors. best way to see if it is injectors is to use a screwdriver as a stethoscope, and listen to the fuel rail, and then the engine head. If the fuel rail is ticking, its the injectors. Run some injector cleaner through the tank and see if it shuts it up, or get them professionally cleaned and flow tested, or replaced.

Idler pulley and tensioner
Nothing wrong with it. Sounds normal to me. Im a mechanic and I own a ba.

That induction ticking, that’s normal
Maybe the PCV, which is located on the rear on top of rocket cover . I have a ba and it makes a ticking sound.

Sounds like a timing chain noise
Whats that dash light ??? ... is it low oil pressure .... tighten the oil filter maybe ..
Low fuel light
thats the valves...change the oil

Timing chain tensioner
My ICC started ticking today. Thats weird.
likely aircon blower motor, behind the glove box. Check if there are any leaves in it. But its common that they tick even without leaves.
I think thats how they are :)
Sticky hydraulic lifters bro. Ain't gonna blow up. Cheap fix is this sticky hydraulic lifter fluid in super cheap chuck it in ur oil and bam
MAVRIK7163 Sticky lifters? Do tell......
@Mavrick7163 can i get some insight to this please?

What was it? Got the exact same problem.

its the oil tappers
no applicable on falcons....
They are actually hydraulic lash adjusters.

Or a pulley
Turbo bearings
