Anytime I was going home from Dublin Heuston back in the late 80s and 90s. I'd deliberately turn up at least 45 minutes early just to listen to them. Brilliant!
071s. Single-handedly a superb reason to visit Ireland. I have travelled behind all 18 examples, plus the 3 NIR 111s. Although 071 in her Supertrain livery looks resplendent, personally I prefer the Irish Rail livery where this livery is enhanced by being lined with thin white stripes.

I can only hear Nick Riviera saying to Troy McClure "ITS WHISPER QUIET!"

Super Catch Jay!😃.
Happy days in cork at the station
Great Locomotive.....shame they're not around any more.
All are still in active service
Still in service! One rumbles by my house every day.
Didn't they have the crossley hst v8?
No, you're thinking of the older A class there. These were GM-built with a turbocharged 645 from new.
The real Alex! (From StuartStudios5’s Ciara.)
Hello
The colours were horrendous....but I can't take my eyes off it lol
What do you expect its a 70’s livery that only disappeared in the late 2000’s
