  • There is a saying about being blissfully naive. It turns out that at the start of this restoration I was blissfully naive about how long jobs would take and what I could realistically get done in a day…today’s to do list? Strip the contents of the bonnet.
I think the title of this video might be a big give away that I didn’t quite strip the contents of the bonnet. I might not have got all my to do list done but I did nearly set the garage on fire though...
Watch to find out how long it took me to remove Trouble’s (my Porsche 356) fuel tank and to see how I nearly set Trouble and the rest of the garage on fire.

You need to build yourself a rotisserie to work on the bottom of the 356as you have a lot of welding to do down on the bottom metal. I felt like a cancer surgeon when I started removing the rusty panels.

Time to embrace the “American” name for it in the Porsche community. The front - trunk. The “frunk”. It will save you a lot of brain power haha! 😅 As I’m sure you’ve seen on YT. Everyone just calls it the “frunk”.
