Congratulations to both of you for your efforts, what matters is being able to communicate and both of you can do that which is amazing considering how difficult learning Greek is. Victoria I am really impressed, I believe that in a year or so you might be able to hold proper back and forth conversations for different topics!

I'm really proud of you girls. Is not often that you see Anglo-Saxons (Scandinavians are Anglo-Saxons too I think) or people speaking Germanic language trying to learn Greek and even less that make it. I really enjoyed this clip. If you continue like this, in a couple of years you will speak it fine. => Knowing your Nordic mentality a bit and the Greek lifestyle too, I think liking living in Greece is only a matter of getting used to, once you learn the language first. There is no way to like living in a country if you do not speak the language. => There are differences, orderly life on the north, chaotic in the south but still Greek lifestyle is warmer, more humane and wins every time. Especially if you have kids.
Nice. One of the questions about Ζεβεδαίος (Zebedee) is an old Greek joke. It is said as a question: "Who was the father of Zebedee's children?" The joke has a dual meaning, the first is an overstatement of the obvious and the second implies fooling around by Zebedee's wife. The last version seems to be historically accurate about the origin of the joke that was made famous in a 60s Greek comedy movie. The star of the movie (Kostas Voutsas) was playing a teacher and his students tried to get him in a difficult spot by asking him who was the father of Zebedee's children. The teacher in a cool manner replied: "That''s easy, the Best Man". In reality, Zebedee was a person referred in the New Testament as a wealthy fisherman and the father of the Apostles John and Jacob, but there is no indication that this joke has anything to do with him. The most likely origin of the joke involves Panayotis Zebedee, a simple minded person, who was an officer during the Greek war of independence in 1821 under general Karaiskakis (after whom the Olympiakos stadium was named, because he was killed near this area). While Panayotis Zebedee was fighting in the war against the Turks, his wife had 7 children and after the war she told him that all the children were his own, something that Panayotis Zebedee accepted. Historically is not stated whether he did so because he loved his wife too much, because he feared social outcry or simply was a big heart. The point is that Zebedee pretended to believe it. And unaware that he was winning the title of the most remembered cuckold of all time, he accepted them and raised them as if he was their real father! Today however, the joke implies an overstatement of the obvious.

Kata-ifi : dessert/pastry with the very thin (dry) filo strips on top/all around and nuts with honey/syrup in the middle. For me a nice warm Galaktompoureko fresh out of the oven beats them all, but cold is good too 🙂 You guys did great. Greek is a difficult language with words also changing depending on the gender, similar to German which is also much harder than English. For example: kali erotisi, kalos antras, kalo paidi. So the word "good" changed 3 times because of the genders.. German is the same way like "der", "die", "das". Very difficult to master for a foreigner, especially if you didn't go to school for Greek for a few years. It takes many years of practice and talking in Greek to get it right without having spent time in a classroom. It all comes down to how much you practice talking to other Greeks, and listening to Greek on TV like the news or Greek movies, etc.
Some of the questions were hard, the viewers didn't cut you some slack 😄. Nonetheless you did really good! Zevedeos is a name (from the bible). The question goes like: "Who is the mother of Vicroria's son?" Because nobody knows who is Zevedeos, people frequently block and cannot answer, although the answer to "who is the father of Zevedeos' children?" is obvious.

Although the language barrier is detectable in your try to read and speak Greek, you are so cute in your tries in that. Girls, continue to improve your Greeks, as a Greek guy, I know how difficult my language is. ❤
Thank you so much😄💙

It was nice video. You can do it again but first check the translation, so you can answer more easily. And the children of Zevetheos had father Zevetheos. It was a trick question.

No you were not a disaster, in fact you make Greek language sound cute, and don't forget who ever wants to learn something has to make mistakes otherwise won't learn by them
Thank you for your nice comment🥰🇬🇷
Zevedeos is a name (from the bible). The question goes like: "Who is the mother of Vicroria's son?" Because nobody knows who is Zevedeos, people frequently block and cannot answer, although the answer to "who is the father of Zevedeos' children?" is obvious.
Thank you for explaining this😃😅💙
