  • Another awesome trail ride by Ando's Dirtbike Events at Tophouse, about 45 minutes from Nelson. Main loop was 12km of slippery forest cutover, bush tracks and farm land. This is the main loop before it was cut shorter to remove the bottleneck where a lot of people were having trouble in the bush.
    Epic day riding with my two sons and their friends.
    Riders this lap:
    Ben - KTM 350 XCF
    Finn (age 8)- KTM 65 SX
    Seb (age 10) - KTM 65 SX
    Keegan (age 11) - KTM 65 SX
    Emerson - Suzuki DRZ 125

      They are really great for riding with the kids. Good for giving directions and riding tips and keeping in touch if someone stops or falls off. I'm glad I got them.

    Hey there Ben, well done to you looking after four rug rats in those conditions, you have a lot of patience. Cheers Richard

      Thanks Richard. It was a bit punishing in the clay but they all did really well considering. Its quite rewarding seeing them push themselves and improve their riding skills.

      I don't think we will make that one. Its quite a long haul to get there from our place in Nelson - about 7 hours drive.

      Keep an eye on the Ando's Dirtbike Events Facebook page. He does most of the trail rides up this way.

      @bentowse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Theres not much public riding in Nelson. Maungatapu track or Porika track maybe. Check out Andos Dirtbike Events on Facebook. He has a ride coming up in Tadmore in January.

    What are you using to be able to talk to your sons?

      @bentowse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We use Fodsports M1S Pro bluetooth intercoms purchased on aliexpress. They work pretty well.

      @@bentowse wow.
      Theirs a brand called sena and they make devices like the ones you guys have but the sena ones are like 1k for 5 devices that go in your helmet.
      Do you know the range the signal is before it drops out

    • @bentowse
      @bentowse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, Sena are great but very pricey compared to these. Range is several hundred meters as long as you can see the other riders. If they go far over a hill or round a corner out of sight it will loose connection but connects back up when back in sight.
