I don't know what it is, but there is this energy in these videos which is really nice. I try to break it down to it's components: - Weird humour, which works really well. - Johathan personality, or the way he presents himself is kind of akward but he is being himself and this is fun to watch. - English not being native langauge, causes even more humour and sounds akwardly funny but works really well here - Supportive energy, the pros here are very supportive and give a nice contrast to a beginner. - Great advice to a beginner and seeing the progression is helpful. - Nice editing, fast cuts from time to time, but not too much.. all in all, I like it. - These videos do not try to be really seriously professional which can sometimes be boring. Boring is not the problem here! So what I'm trying to say is: I like these videos!
My roommate just moved down to Austin,TX In The United States of American from Alaska, USA and we are really enjoying your videos! We have learned so much since finding your channel! We have really improved our scores with the information and we think you are very funny and everyone is very skilled! Thanks for the awesome content!
Jonathan played those first couple holes brilliantly. Then, like I always do after playing a few holes brilliantly, he decided to start playing tree tag.
Always exited to see a new video from you pop up on my front page and never have I been disappointed with the content so far! Love the videos, keep up the good work :D
Hello guys. Your videos are both informative and entertaining. I learn and i laugh. A most beneficial combination!! Thank you and keep up the great work.
Great idea! It would be nice to see how the pros throw both an overstable AND an understable in certain conditions so we could see what different outcomes there would be. Also, if Johannes could explain what a headwind does to an understable versus an overstable disc. We amateurs don't get enough consistency to see the differences. Thanks!!
Great work as always. I did have trouble keeping track of who was who with some of the fast edits. Would have been easier to follow if you were both not wearing black.
I have been playing with Latitude's Plastic for eight years. Ordered some apparel for the first time from the company because of you Jonathan. I think youre hilarious
One of my favorite disc right now is the explorer. I got it for signing up with the pdga and have been using it so much. Love your videos and can't wait to see you make your bag.
Hey guys, question about glide: if you have a disc with high glide, like the river (compared to something with less glide like a claymore or a spark, or let's say something well-known but not lat64, like a buzzz or a teebird), would throwing it a bit higher (yet nose-down and flat-ish) result in more distance? I'm still not sure how glide helps with distance, and my experience is that throwing something stable with low glide gets me more than something with high glide. I'm wondering how the angle of release and the stability of the disc should be modified for a high glide disc compared to a low glide disc to achieve max distance without sacrificing accuracy.
Building my bag has been a fun time. Right now I am at the point where I feel good about most of what I have but I also am starting to feel like I have too many. Like most beginners I got too many distance drivers. Honestly this means I got any of them because I have reached the point where I am actually starting to throw my fairway drivers decently and will throw them quite a bit farther than my distance drivers. In fact on a recent field work day, my longest throw was with a speed 4 midrange :O. So with all that being said, I look forward to seeing how you build your bag.
@@FuckGoogle2 True. But I would rather just not carry them for now and keep working on my throw in the field so I have a chance of building up to them without having to buy again. :)
I have been looking forward to your "IN THE BAG" for a while now. May I make a few suggestions ? Sinus,Pure,Harp, Compass, Anchor, Explorer, River (in all plastics), Saint Pro, Musket, Pioneer for utility.
I laughed more than a little watching this! Love. These. Vids! Jonathan, if we ever pay disc golf together, watching me play would make you feel way better about your skills! But it would be fun!
Snyggt!!
Looking forward to see your bag. I'm too new player and I am playing at the moment with Innova champion mako 3 and mvp atomic ohm. Also have rpm kotuku
Hey Jonathan, I'll build your bag for you: Putter: Pure; Midranges: Fuse, Core, Compass; Fairway Drivers: Maul, River, Explorer, Fury, Saint, Pioneer; Distance Drivers: Bolt, Ballista, Cutlass. Gives you understable, stable and overstable in all categories (except putter)
Hey, Dan, I know what to get you for christmas now, thanks 🙏 you’re a madman with 12 molds! I’m still learning, so I’m trying to master a few molds (explorer and tresspass included!). Mainly I’m using putters, mids, and my explorer.
@@greensheeps If you're new I wouldn't recommend the Explorer, very over-stable (especially the Opto-X version). You're better off with a Maul or a River IMO. Maul's are hard to find but they glide forever and you would probably get 30' - 50' more distance over an Explorer. I carry an Explorer simply for a hole that hooks hard to the left so it isn't thrown all the much.
Dude when you're going slow(smooth) you throw so damn good!!!! Like seriously. Take some power off and itll probably go further as odd as that sounds its a very real thing
I've started to notice this for myself lately. So i've been taking my time with my shots. very little run up if any at all and a slow and smooth launch, yields me an extra 30-50ft or so versus going all out and coming up short
@@xJediDadx yeah its a real thing, nothing good ever comes from trying to throw it as hard as possible. You end up throwing nose up/hitting a tree/missing your line/using all arm .When its mostly about timing at the end of the day.
