- In this video we´re trying to find the best fairway drivers in disc golf. This by looking at the flight and feel of a bunch of different discs and then testing them out in course situations to see how well they work in practice. We´re doing this as I´m building my first and basics dics golf bag.
Having Johannes who has been playing disc golf for a long time and also the fact that he´s very hands on in the development of Latitude 64s discs is definetly a perk when doing this. Also also, throwing (trying to throw) fairway drivers far and straight is a lot of fun!!

This is the first time ever I pressed like because it was asked in the video. Usually it is just annoying when people beg.
This time the asking was with humour and feel good mood so I just had to give it thumbs up.

Having the disc stats in the corner is extremely helpful!!
As an 1111 rated DGV player, the tone of these videos makes me feel very happy that Latitude 64 is behind DGV and makes me want to buy more Lat64 merch. The sense of humor is right down my alley.

I love this series I've been playing for a while but I do like the idea of incorporating it 3 types a discs from every set. Putter, throwing putter mid-range, fairway drivers, and high speed drivers

I'm about 3 years into this at 42 and I will say that even with a lot of the talent on the web teaching I think your channel has been the most useful and the humor is great. Thanks for showing the journey.
I enjoy your content because it is edited well, fun to watch, and usually has some laughs along the way. Johnathan, your throw is coming along well! I see a lot of progress from you since the snow has receded. Also the Explorer is my go to fairway driver for a majority of my shot shapes, can even hold an anhyzer pretty well.
I appreciate how you pointed out how the same disc flew differently for you two because of arm speed. Really helpful to me.
The explorer is such a great disc, just flies so straight and true with hardly any fade!

diamond has been my favorite driver for about 5 months now. didn't like the river too much (too slow?), lent it to my son, who threw it in a river. poetic, in a way. love the jade as well.
These videos are awesome. At the end of them, in the fadeout part, it would be cool if you had a picture of his bag so far. From the putters till now :)

I have an Opto Diamond in my bag. I love it!!! But still working on full control of the turn. Really love making it hyzer flip to turn.
These two guys and the Jomez "BigSexyBarri" practice rounds are, by far, the best DG content on YT.
I just bought a river 3 weeks ago, I love the tossing the hell out of it. It's amazing, I really liked my mako3 but this is my new mid. I'm thinking about picking up 3 more.
best walk through of discs and how to use them and how they react with pro vs beginner usage .. insane quality of video here and why i bought the havoc and the river.. bravo!

2 of my favorite fairway drivers right now are the Trident(the opto X release you guys did in 2019 or 2020) and the Striker. I just love the way that I've thrown that Trident so much and still know it's not going to turn over on me. Also I got my first 2 aces with the Trident. Cool disc. Wish I could get more. Love the Saint as well.
I admit, I've largely ignored fairway drivers for many years. I wanna throw far. And if I need to throw less far, I just threw the driver not as hard.
Until I accidentally found the Saint. The first thing I noticed was the glide....which gave it an effortlessness... then I realized that with the saint, there was a simplicity to making certain shots. I've finally started to understand that throwing a disc designed for the shot you have....is sooooo much easier and reliable than forcing a disc to fly like it is not designed.

I was routing for the River but we all have our own taste in discs. The River was my first driver I owned and I have always had one in my bag. I actually carry 2 1/2 now. I have an Air River for US, Goldline for Straight and River Pro for OS... though I have an explorer too for OS shots. Great work here. Love the channel.

Explorer, Saint Pro, Musket for me is the perfect 3-tier, a really beat up Saint Pro being my most understable fairway driver. I'm still rocking a Zion in my bag as well!

I bag a River and Explorer. The River is easily my favorite disc. It's currently the disc I throw the farthest.
River pro and 2 explorers here among others.
Explorer seems to do better what tee birds try to do. Although 150ish dx tee birds are always fun.
These videos are so amazing. I don't always learn something new for myself from them, but I am finding new ways to approach helping others with their game. The main reason I watch is for the humor though. It's also cool to see Jonathan improving as the series progresses.

Love these videos how they show a slower arm speed flight and a more advanced player
Gold Line Striker. I tried the Saint Pro, I tried the Explorer, but the Striker is just better suited for me. It has a bulkier rim, more like a distance driver, but it flies like what it is, a fairway driver. It is imo the most underrated disc in Lat64 line up. Love it. ❤️
Also the Saint is something a lot of people NEED to try. Maybe it isn't the best for a total beginner, but if you can throw over 75m I would say that the Opto Saint could be for you.
Yes! I love my gold line burst Striker, works great for forhands aswell.
@@r4ngutang yes! It is flatter than most fairways as well so it is easy to get a good forehand grip with it.
it is so nice to see how far you have come in your year of playing. i started about a year ago and im not even close to your level. i really love this series from a beginners standpoint and it has helped me alot, and for me i prefer the latitude 64 disks and my fav one is a river! keep up the good work and dont forget to have fun

I smiled at the Jade, Diamond, Saint and River. You would have to break my arm to get those discs out of my bag. Absolute favourites.
Love the videos man im sure this is super helpful for newer players. Besides the fact you have access to any disc you could really want to test . This is how most people progress in disc golf.

Earlier today I got my new 3 disc set from Latitude 64 in the mail (A "newbie set") and now when I got home from work a new video is up from Latitude 64....today was a good day! Cant wait for some free time to give the discs a goo.

i bag a Teebird, 2 understable saints and 1 neutron MVA. incredibly nice coverage!
Teebird almost never turns over, and neutron is actually quite overstable. handles even anhyzer in tailwind.

Loved your videos! They've helped me a lot. I decided to build a bag this year too. I was wondering if you guys would discuss disc weights more, especially with drivers. I had only thrown 170-175 gr drivers, until the other day when I threw a friend's 147gr 13 speed Katana. It went 40-60 feet further than I've ever thrown before. I know it gets mentioned, but I feel like it's a subject that doesn't get enough attention. Thanks!

One of my favorite overstable fairways from Latitude 64 is the Culverin. Any reason that one was not included?
A lot of Latitudes discs were a no show, and I think becouse they are not in the priority list of discs for 2021
I picked up the River the other day. Haven't gotten the chance to use it on the course yet. I'm going out today though. Really excited!

I would love to see Johannes throw the same discs in the open field too. So we can easier see how far off beginners are to the intended flight path. Or what the discs are capable of so to speak.
