- Curious about the suburbs of Panama City? Well in this series we will be covering several suburbs of Panama City and we are starting with Panama Pacifico.
Located under 30 minutes from Panama City, Panama Pacifico is a popular neighborhood especially for those with families. In this video my friend Mike Kelly and I are taking you on a driving tour where he will discuss different types of housing, gated communities, a business center, the local airport, the housing market, international schools and more.
Residential neighborhoods covered in this video are the Woodlands, Mosaic, Soleo, River Valley, and Nativa.

Thank you Abroad Ability...this is the series I was interested in seeing! I subscribed!
Another thing to consider is that Line 3 of the Panama metro, currently under construction, will have a stop at the entrance to Panama Pacifico. From there it will be just two stops to Albrook Mall station, where you can catch another train to the city center or all the way to Tocumen International Airport.
That is a great point! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Yes, we will be in the city in 10 minutes
And very inexpensive@@panamapacificoresidences2760
This video landed with perfect timing for me. Days before my move to Panama Pacifico. Lots of useful information. Thanks so much ❤.
Thank you for this very informative video! I’m a single mom with 3 elementary aged kids and have been considering moving to Panama Pacificó next year!
I’ve stayed a couple of times in an Airbnb in Rousseau Panama and would get groceries at Reba Smith. Panama Pacifico is a very nice area. Great video!
That’s cool! It seems like a really nice suburb and I can see why so many people like it there. You get the best of both worlds. Close and far enough away from the city.
Lovely neighborhoods! Thanks for showing these homes.
I love community tours. Thank you for sharing
This was an excellent video. Hope to see more like it on the different suburbs of Panama City.
Thanks for showing our community!
Beautiful! The roads and landscaping look so clean and well maintained, even on the main roads
I love this tour, my wife and I are planning on visiting in January for vacation and information. We are planning on moving there 6 months at a time for a couple of years. Then move permanently 💯❤️🙌
Awesome! Glad to hear that you enjoyed this tour. Mike is great! I hope you enjoy your exploratory trip/vacation. 🇵🇦🎉
Very nice communities. Under consideration. Thank you.
You are most welcome. Next week I am covering the neighboring Howard Residential.
It’s a Master Planned community
This was so good. Thanks for the views.
Glad that you liked it. 🥰🎉🇵🇦
Great video! Very informative. I had never even heard of Panama Pacifico before, I had it mixed up with Punta Pacifico. It looks like a great place to live.
Ha! I mix them up too all of the time. I need to pause and think about which one I want to say.
We just left Panama on the 20th. It was a great experience! All of the people were friendly and welcoming. I wish someone offered a half-day or full-day residential tour, but I couldn't locate one. I would like to have toured a few apartments and houses. I'm not interested in the longer relocation tours.
Mike Kelly the voice in this video can do that. His website is in the description. Glad to hear that you enjoyed Panama!

Great, keep'em coming lady. Thanks, saludos.
You are most welcome. I am testing this format for neighborhood reviews.
@@AbroadAbility Well, U R doing just fine. I follow you and sure that one day I will meet you at one of the expat events.
Thanks to you and Mike for this great video! We haven't had a chance to visit Panama Pacifico yet so this was a great inside look. We were right there at the resorts and Veracruz but didn't know to venture into the area.
Thanks for all you do
Such a lovely area ❤
This was a great video 👏🏽👏🏽 thank you for all the information about the housing, schools, and business centers. Keep up the good work.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. This is a new format I am testing. I hope it is well received.
And from the Panama Pacifico Airport you can fly to Costa Rica too (roundtrip $200 aprox)
Great video!
Great video. It bring nostalgia for me who lived during the former Canal Zone era, 😢😢. Howard was such a beautiful Airforce Base. I remember Fort Kobe and Kobe Beach which is now part of Playa Bonita. Again great video but still have mixed feelings about what Howard “Panama Pacifico” has become! Keep up with the good videos
Awww thank you. Glad that you enjoyed the video. The one for this Sunday is just on Howard.
For some reason the commissary at Howard always is a memory to me. I was there when I was age 5-9 in the early to mid 1980's. The building is still there and looks maintained. Not sure what it currently is, though.
"Air Force base" vs "Residential area". I am Panamanian born and raised and I know what you mean as I have family who served there. My high school in Punta Paitilla was demolished to give way to the new skyscrapers. The area looks nothing like when I went to school there. Progress I guess.
@@CharlieBrown0507 Oh wow. I visited Panama last April to visit my son who decided to move to Panama after college and noticed the changes. Lots of constructions with the expansion of the Metro. How does the working class survive with everything being so expensive in Panama?
@@amazing-osky2052 I still have family in Panama. Sisters, brothers, nephews, etc. They all have jobs and all have a confortable lifestyle. But guess what? they don't shop in the expensive places. You just have to know where to shop. Why would one buy an item in RibaSmith when you can find the same item cheaper in El Rey supermarket or Super 99?
It is the same as going to Waltmart vs Harris Teeter here in the US. Or TJ Maxx vs Macy's.
I am really enjoying this tour. Thank you
Very nice and beautiful. Looks so much like Florida.😩 I do plan on retiring in 10 years. I wonder if this still will be a good community for me? I will be in my 50s. Because this is more so promoting families with children (my children will be in adults by then).
@@janellemcleod there are a bunch of single retired people living there.
Great video, looking to move in five or so years. Cant decide on coronado or the city. Hoping other beach locations will be built thats closer to the city than Coronado.
Hmmmm that is something that I haven’t researched yet, up and coming beach projects. Have you looked at Chame/Playa Coracol? It is closer to Coronado than the city.
Thanks for sharing this. I was in that area this past weekend looking at potential investment properties. I also hope to be an expat in the next 2 years.
My Wife and I are traveling to Panama next week to shop for a home in Woodlands.
@glennwoolsey263 oh wow! Safe travels and I hope you find what you are looking for.
@@AbroadAbility Update: We found a house and currently in the middle of buying process, exciting times!
Do you know anyone that provides tours of Colon and vicinities? I am looking for a house close to or on the beach. One or 2 days of touring is good.
Definitely an area for people with tons of money.
We have units starting at $175,000.
@@panamapacificoresidences2760 LOL! With two pensions, a 457b plan, and Social Security, I'm projected an annual income of $62,832 five years from now when I retire. Clearly, those prices, and inflation generally will increase. Panama is becoming more Americanized, i.e., more expensive.
@@panamapacificoresidences2760how many bedrooms for that price?
Thank you for infomative video.
Could you please provide the contact info with Mike?
We're planning yo explore this area in August.
Here is the link to his company. viprelocationtourspanama.com/
I’d like to have seen some #s: housing and food costs, etc.
I am considering moving to panama, my husband, and I have 2 small kids but we are not sure about the visas type
is there any senior living?
Yes
Where do they put the trash?
Every residence has a trash compartment and it gets picked up regularly
SO MUCH LAND AND HOUSES ARE BUILT SOOO DARN CLOSE TO EACH OTHER!😣
This is my concern with my multiple dogs...
Seems like neighborhoods in the states not very tropical or Panamanian
Yup. It had a Florida or California vibe.
There's a bit of everything in Panama. What's your pleasure?
That's the feeling I got too. An enclave that takes the "Panamá" out of Panamá. I like P City better personally
@@PhoenixRain01010 It's a suburb of Panama City.
@guillermogouldburn763 Correction: I should specify "Central" P City lol. All in all, it looks too "americanized"
Thank you for sharing this. I’m on the process of purchasing a new home on Woodlands. ❤
Congrats! That's exciting!
Expensive
fruit and vegetables market
425K for a condo? What a ripp off. Gringo prices. Move put of america to pay more? NO THANKS.
To me is a very sad area with no taste at all. No beauty. And very expensive.
It's not for everyone.
Sad to see how the house developments are priced for only people with money and many locals can't afford that's the problem with greed I'm from Panamá and will be returning back home after service in the US Army and living in the USA I'll make sure I won't be living around racist people not to mention also racism exists in Panamá openly against Afro Panamanian and so many people who has to work (6) day weeks please do a video on racism in Panamá against the native Panamanian and Afro Panamanian 😂
