It's sleek but it's not up to par as far as sports cars go and not very practical because of the butterfly doors. People also gripe about the cost and how there are comparable vehicles available at a lower price. Aesthetically and environmentally, it's a great choice I think so I really want it.

Better snatch it up quick. I hear dealerships are only getting one per location for the whole model year. True, you get a fair amount of exclusivity with this, damn near guaranteeing you won't pull up next to another one at a stoplight, but that's all you're paying for. Whyyyyyyy BMW didnt make this all electric with dual motors for more HP will go down as one of the great missed opportunities to give Tesla some competition
My son just got one from the Braman dealership here in West Palm Beach, FL, and we love the car! We both agree that the hybrid concept is actually the most practical way to go at the present time, mainly due to the scarcity of charging stations, and the totally inconvenient charging times while out on an extended drive. While this situation will, of necessity, be successfully addressed in the near future - hopefully - the fact still remains that driving an all-electric vehicle on any extended range trip requires a lot of forward planning with regards to charging stations on the route. Not so with a hybrid vehicle. The presence of a regular gasoline engine removes this worry. Interestingly, he hasn't plugged the car up to a charger either at home or on the road since he's had it [about 1 month]. He simply switches over to "Sport" mode while driving normally, and that charges the battery in a few minutes, and he then goes back to all-electric mode, which is good for about another 30 miles. Rinse and repeat, as necessary. The "mileage" is over 60mpg. On the contrary, the car is better than a Tesla: more practical in a real-world situation, and much, much, better looking! Plus, there are all sorts of ways BMW can improve on future iterations - larger gasoline engine from any of their other models, and/or higher capacity batteries. As it is, the car is a perfect blend of the two different technologies in a visually stunning, futuristic design.
