This short video records the extraction of wireline diamond drill core out of the inner tube from NQ outer rods. Core is extracted every 3 meters, the length of a NQ rod.
Ok don't be hating. Canadians are the best drillers in the world. There are a few problems with this drill. The driller rotates in reverse, he uses a wrench under power with no anti kickback devise, there is no rotation guard on the rod string, and the drill is a mess. I would be curious to know what drilling company this is so I don't ever go work for them.

Let me help you out here..... In Australia and te rest of the world core drills are used for defining structure, metalurgical and resource studies, but not generally first pass exploration.

Well inick54 RC drills are more common in Australia because it is a cheaper, less accurate way of drilling for a sample. You must be one of these grade control drilling superstars. As for drillers around the world, I have personally drilled all over the world and I can tell you Canadian drillers are more sought after for core recovery. Australians are better RC drillers simply because there is virtually no RC drilling in Canada. You Aussies can go ahead and keep your catmax junk. Do your homewo
