I talked to him and gave him money and went and bought the dog a bag of dog food. I reminded him that new food should be fed slowly or they will have loose bowels and he doesn't want that in his vehicle. I came home and made those delicious biscuits and fantastic fried chicken. @@zarabees2123 You can do 425 if your afraid they will burn, they will still be good, you just might not get as much crunch / browning on the outside. 450 is fine, but it also depends on your oven, if it uses coils to heat it up you should probably put your biscuits on the top rack or put another pan under them to protect the bottom from burning, if you got a oven with a fan, or a gas oven then you shouldn't have to worry about burning at high temps as long as you don't forget about them.
They really did look good Tammie. 👍 My grandmother made biscuits every morning of her life. She raised a family of 11, she used a big oblong wooden bowl. Granny could whip up a large pan of biscuits in no time. Her big aluminum biscuits pan was black, from all her biscuit baking. God Bless you and your family.

I made some biscuits last week and smothered them in country gravy. Made me miss my mom and grandma. My mom and I used to eat this when we didn't have much food and it was very filling.
I grew up on home made biscuits and soup beans and cornbread. I loved them and still do, I didn’t realize we didn’t have much money, but was always blessed!
OMG! I just tried this biscuit recipe and I think it’s simply delicious. The biscuits turned out flaky and fluffy and very flavorful. I had it with butter and honey and I just enjoyed it. I’m gonna make these biscuits from now on. White Lily flour is the ultimate key for good biscuits.
Did you try it without the Honey with just butter? I've never (well once) put Honey or Jelly on my biscuits. It ruins the taste for me. All I taste is sweet. It's like putting steak sauce on a good steak. It ruins the taste. To each his own though. Maybe I'm a little weird, but I like my biscuits to taste like a biscuit not a piece of cake.
@@jzm6403 Yes. I’ve tasted the biscuit without honey and I still loved it. It’s just a good biscuit recipe. Next, I’m going to try adding some cut up crispy bacon, freshly cracked black pepper and shredded cheese to the flour and make some drop biscuits.
I read a lot of books written by American authors & have always wanted to try your biscuits. This recipe sounds perfect. In England we make scones with butter - can add dried fruit or cheese. Might experiment with your recipe as I love cheese scones
I’ve seen several TH-camrs make these 2 ingredients biscuits, but yours are so much flakier and puffier Tammy. You have magic in your hands making yummy biscuits! Have a blessed weekend beautiful lady! ♥️
Try 2 1/2 cups self rising flour, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 tsp salt, and cook in cast iron skillet. The buttermilk gives it a slight tang and let the biscuits rise for 15 minutes before cooking. P.S. use 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp baking powder for extra fluffy biscuits.
So my grandma's been gone along time . I have tried over 20 years to get her cookin down . She never used recipes. She just got after it. We are from Texas and old fashioned ranch country style cookin. Her buttermilk biscuits was crispy outside and so sof inside with a little chew to them. Her eggs , I cant figure it out so light and fluffy . Now I got the chicken and dumplings down pat. Cause that was one of my all time favorites. And a pot of beans with hammock cookin all day with cornbread, got that, its a dieing art that I wish young women would have learned to carry on. It to me was the best thing ,, to come home from working hard all day to a country meal . She would get a whole chicken cut it all up and man better than KFC was so crispy, mine gets sawgy after sttin hers seemed to stay crunchy. And the leftovers, we would always make chicken salad sandwiches with it. So I'm looking tonight for her style cooking and these biscuits sure look like them how tall and the shape. She did always use cast iron to makes a big difference and over a flame.sorry for rambling.
I've made homemade biscuits for over forty years and just lately tried this recipe. I love the texture of these biscuits and they are my go to biscuit for my meals.
Hi, now this is what we call scones in South Africa 😃 We eat them with savory and sweet toppings. Savory is normally Bovril or Marmite with grated cheese and sweet is always with homemade strawberry jam and whipped cream. It's just so good! 😃
@@anniep1511 I'll give you the Google discription as I believe it is the best 😀 Bovril is the trademarked name of a thick and salty meat extract paste similar to a yeast extract, developed in the 1870s by John Lawson Johnston. It is sold in a distinctive bulbous jar. Bovril is owned and distributed by Unilever UK. Its appearance is similar to Marmite and Vegemite. It has a similar taste to Worcestersauce (do you know it?) We use it as 'n sandwich spread. Personally I love it on fresh bread with butter, mayonnaise and cheddar cheese. VERY rich and SOOO NOT healthy 🤦♀️but very lekker (tasty). Hope this gives an indication.
My Mama baked drop biscuits by just taking a spoon and dropping the biscuit dough onto a baking sheet. They always had the little crunchy peaks that just added deliciousness to the biscuits! They were always sooooo awesome!!!
Mine, too, sometimes. Mostly she made the cut out kind, out of pride, I think.😄 Meaning, if you go to just a little bit more trouble, you have some thing that looks a little better.
the heavy whipping cream has enough fat in it to cover no added butter or shortening, the flour has the baking powder in it already, so essentially all the traditional ingredients are in these, but skillfully combined by the nice people at the food production places.
Your golden syrup sparked a memory. When we were kids we would mix up dark Karo syrup and butter till it was all smooshed (not sure that's a word!) together and spread it on our biscuits. Yum. Homemade strawberry preserves were the second preferred choice! I may have to try these biscuits just because they are so fast!
Smooshed is definitely a word at least in the South lol. We also Smooshed Peanut Butter and Dark Karo together. It was so good. Such a nice frugal treat. Reminds me of my great grandmother that was born in 1901 lived through the Depression, Several Wars and a lot of hard times.
@@donnamiller4340 O. M. G. I'd forgotten about Karo and PB mixed together! Little bit of heaven, that sandwich was. My great grandmama would feed the lot of us on that. She taught us all how to make it through the hard times. ❤️
I used just a little flour and some heavy whip cream, made just a few small biscuits yesterday. I baked them in my tiny cast iron frying pan. They are really good. I found out in October that I am a diabetic, so I can have just a small biscuit. I made tiny ones, but before I realized it, I had ate about 3 of them. LOL They are really good. I had never made biscuits and rolled them in my hands like you did, patted them with some more whip cream. Very good biscuits and so easy. I was wanting a biscuit so BAD yesterday. I love White Lily Flour, it is better than Pillsbury.
Another good person to look up on TH-cam is Dr Ken D Berry to reverse diabetes. He has videos about alot of health issues. And they are all free. Changed my life. I will try these biscuits occasionally.
I love your channel and love your recipes! I've made several. For these biscuits, I melt a quarter cup of margarine in the microwave and add while mixing, and also stir in a quarter cup of bacon bits and a little shredded cheddar cheese while mixing. So I end up with bacon cheddar butter biscuits and they're divine! You can bake a big batch of these and refrigerate what you don't eat fresh in an airtight plastic container and keep them in the fridge for up to 5 days, and reheat one or two in the microwave for a quick breakfast.
WOW! I just made these biscuits and they are by far the BEST I've ever eaten! They are very light and fluffy and fun to make. I prefer the cut rather than the pat. Either way, they are delicious!

This is by far my favorite biscuit recipe. Not because it’s easy but because it’s delicious. I absolutely use self rising flour for these and 99% of my cooking/baking needs. All of my cakes, breads, cookies, gravy…. All made with self rising. White Lily is the best. Have you ever tried Hudson Cream Flour?? I believe that’s what it’s called. I have been cooking since I remember.. we grew up poor!! My mama made the best biscuits!! People would ask her to make them and they would offer to pay her.. she never would take any money!! Always hand rolled them and baked them!! My dad had to have biscuits with every meal!! She used lard, big ole can of crisco!! I married at 16 (nope wasn’t pregnant) and I’ve been cooking since before then. Both sides of the family I’ve always been the cook. But never learned bake those biscuits. I tried once and they were hard as rocks!! Lol.. I’m now 48 and gonna try these!!
Those look amazing! I had actually tried a 2 ingredient biscuit but it was with self rising flour and plain yogurt! Was so much like these! Fluffy and delicious!🥰
Can't believe I've just watched a 2 ingredient recipe that actually and genuinely only used 2 ingredients! These look great, will give them a go. In the UK our scones recipe starts out similar to these but we add sugar and dried fruit so obviously not suitable for that nice gravy you can only find in Southern USA!
Wow! Just found this video. Always make butter milk biscuits but tried this last night. My wife and I loved these! My grandmother used to take fresh cream off fresh milk to make biscuits whenI was a child. I am 71 now and she baked the in a wood stove. They were the best I ever had. Almost like yours.
These are beautiful. I've always made homemade biscuits but so much work, this is much easier! What I do though, I brush melted butter on top of the biscuits. 🙂 Thank you!
Made these today! I swear to jesus where has this been all my life!!! Tops were crunchy, bottoms were crispy, middle was oh so soft and beautiful. If I could give 1000 likes to your video I would. I have not been able to make homemade biscuits, ever! They always tasted like baking soda, or were hard. And the forming trick! Brilliant! No rolling pin needed, less clean up. I swear 2 ingredient biscuits for life. Only different thing I did was melt butter into my baking pan and dip the balls of dough in it while forming them. Helped keep my hands clean. Was enough biscuits for B and G for 5 people.

Tell me about it 😅 Food is so expensive am becoming a vegan by force😬 and learning to forage. Nature has free food👀 meanwhile the price of most things are even doubling in price. I don't even bother looking at most bread in stores. Trying to make my own bread since the local price on even the most unwanted bread that usually gets left behind by most has also doubled their price. I use the leftover cream to make sausage gravy. With some sweet tea...YUM!
Awesome to hear!
Hi, I need your help , did you bake it at 450f which is 230c. I am scared to try this at such high temperature . Thanks
@@JoshDragRace0688 Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help . Will definitely give it a try.
Buiscetsc and gravy. Amazing

Glad I could help!
I am going to make these as soon as I get some heavy cream. I am so happy you showed how you can roll them in your hand and then press them down on the baking pan. This is great for me because I don't have any place to roll them out in my kitchen. Thanks a bunch!!!
This sold me on trying them too. They're in the oven now~

I made some biscuits last week and smothered them in country gravy. Made me miss my mom and grandma. My mom and I used to eat this when we didn't have much food and it was very filling.
Sounds great!

@@CollardValleyCooks hhh hi h
Moms always know how to stretch a dollar 😉
I grew up on home made biscuits and soup beans and cornbread. I loved them and still do, I didn’t realize we didn’t have much money, but was always blessed!
OMG! I just tried this biscuit recipe and I think it’s simply delicious. The biscuits turned out flaky and fluffy and very flavorful. I had it with butter and honey and I just enjoyed it. I’m gonna make these biscuits from now on. White Lily flour is the ultimate key for good biscuits.
So glad!

@@connieparker8896 I order it from Amazon. It’s incredibly hard to find the flour in local stores.
I read a lot of books written by American authors & have always wanted to try your biscuits. This recipe sounds perfect. In England we make scones with butter - can add dried fruit or cheese.
Might experiment with your recipe as I love cheese scones
AAAAAAAAHHHHHH! White Lily! The ONLY flour my mom and my grandmother ever used for baking ANYTHING! Now I know their secret! Thank you!
I’ve seen several TH-camrs make these 2 ingredients biscuits, but yours are so much flakier and puffier Tammy. You have magic in your hands making yummy biscuits!
Have a blessed weekend beautiful lady! ♥️
I can testify....It´s the White Lily flour! They WiLL turn out different if you don´t use White Lily!
She sure does have magic fingers i love. Her cooking so much .
I was going to say it must be the white Lilly flour.
Elle Fox I've seen self rising flour in stores but not White Lily. Where do you get it?
Walmart
This the ONLY way I make biscuits. It’s so easy and they turn out delicious every time!😃
Try 2 1/2 cups self rising flour, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 tsp salt, and cook in cast iron skillet. The buttermilk gives it a slight tang and let the biscuits rise for 15 minutes before cooking. P.S. use 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp baking powder for extra fluffy biscuits.
That's not a two ingredient biscuit 😮
No but its an alternative and good to know
Its 4 ingredients..just correcting you. They are good.❤

the look like what we would call scones in the UK too....only we would be adding sultanas for sweet flavour and cheese and mustard powder for savoury!
What is Bovril?
@@anniep1511 I'll give you the Google discription as I believe it is the best 😀
Bovril is the trademarked name of a thick and salty meat extract paste similar to a yeast extract, developed in the 1870s by John Lawson Johnston. It is sold in a distinctive bulbous jar. Bovril is owned and distributed by Unilever UK. Its appearance is similar to Marmite and Vegemite.
It has a similar taste to Worcestersauce (do you know it?)
We use it as 'n sandwich spread. Personally I love it on fresh bread with butter, mayonnaise and cheddar cheese. VERY rich and SOOO NOT healthy 🤦♀️but very lekker (tasty).
Hope this gives an indication.
God is good.
Same here in Australia
My Mama baked drop biscuits by just taking a spoon and dropping the biscuit dough onto a baking sheet. They always had the little crunchy peaks that just added deliciousness to the biscuits! They were always sooooo awesome!!!
My mother made her biscuits the same way. She also added some sugar to the recipe for strawberry shortcakes, and it was delicious.
My mom did the drop biscuits too...
Mine, too, sometimes. Mostly she made the cut out kind, out of pride, I think.😄 Meaning, if you go to just a little bit more trouble, you have some thing that looks a little better.
That is very good I am on my way to the store to get me some whipping cream Thank You
I made this tonight to go along with the pork roast and it was a HUGE success! My family LOVED it and was so easy to make.
Great job!
Those biscuits look great. Never knew you could make them without shortening or butter. Thanks for the lesson Tammy.💝💝💝
Same!
the heavy whipping cream has enough fat in it to cover no added butter or shortening, the flour has the baking powder in it already, so essentially all the traditional ingredients are in these, but skillfully combined by the nice people at the food production places.
Cream is shortening because it is high in fat.
Well whipping cream is whipped into butter lol!!
Yum looks delicious ! Can u just drop it on top of a casserole or Betty?
Your golden syrup sparked a memory. When we were kids we would mix up dark Karo syrup and butter till it was all smooshed (not sure that's a word!) together and spread it on our biscuits. Yum. Homemade strawberry preserves were the second preferred choice! I may have to try these biscuits just because they are so fast!
Hey we did this too, as kids! Loved it to top pancakes that way, also.

Thank you for the recipe
Oh yes, love it. Very original. Chef who loves her job.
Tammy that is a quick method. Love your Curtis Stone pan. Also noticed your Temptation bowl. Love all of these.
So glad to hear that!
WOW! I just made these biscuits and they are by far the BEST I've ever eaten! They are very light and fluffy and fun to make. I prefer the cut rather than the pat. Either way, they are delicious!

Can't believe I've just watched a 2 ingredient recipe that actually and genuinely only used 2 ingredients! These look great, will give them a go.
