When I was a new Bride I would call my Mama everyday and ask her how to cook something. She taught me well. Before she passed away she told me I learned well and I could cook better than her. I was humbled by that statement It was the best compliment she ever could of given me .Well she also told me what a great Mama I was. I told her I learned from the best Mama ever. Miss her a ton.
I know. Your mother was wonderful. Mine was too. I visited her and Daddy’s graves today. We were always together on Mother’s and Father’s Days. Hold on to those wonderful memories, dear young lady.❤️❤️❤️❤️ Elizabeth, 83 y/o
Tammy, i just saw your post from 3 years ago when you explained about your cancer and wigs. Honey, you have been such an inspiration to a lot of us in many ways. I do believe God had used you for his glory to testify to so many of us. He is an awesome God. We love you and enjoy listening to you on both channels. I always see Gods work in you on both channels. God Bless you and have a Blessed Day.
I guess South Georgia and South Texas don’t differ much in their respective versions of Southern breakfasts. This is almost exactly how I make “The Big Breakfast”. I usually make the sausage as crumbles and make the cream gravy around the crumbles, then break the biscuits up bite-size and ladle the sausage gravy onto the chunks. Depending on who’s visiting, I may make skillet taters with sweet onions and bacon instead of grits. That’s my Mom, both Omas and all my aunts’ Central Texas, German & Čzech influence, but I add some sweet peppers as well. Of course I cook the eggs & taters with bacon grease. When I make grits for breakfast they are usually cheese grits with hot sauce. I’m more likely to make shrimp & cheese grits for brunch.
Finally got a cast iron skillet! I made your Crisco and White Lily biscuits this morning and tomorrow I’m making your cornbread!! Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll just be here dreaming of all I can make now that I have Collard Valley Cooks and a cast iron pan 😃
Nothing like homemade biscuits and gravy with juice and coffee. I made Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce today. But, as a Southern girl, biscuits and gravy run through my blood. Not literally though. 😉😂 I'm doing great!
Bless you dear sister in Christ! I was looking for a quick & easy biscuit recipe & Googled. I saw the Bible verse on your plated biscuits and thought, this is The Lord’s Recipe!!! THAT’S THE ONE I want!!! Thank you for sharing your gift’s & talent’s with us!!! Your letting your little light shine ✨!!! Your life is Testimony to The Lord’s Goodness and Grace! Bless your heart and your hands that make such good food! Blessings on your Ministry & Channel! I’m subscribed and looking forward to many more delicious meals!!! May The Lord’s Blessings and Favor be upon you & your Family and Friends, Amen!🙏😇✝️✡️🇺🇸🇮🇱🎗️🤗❤️
Thanks to you and White Lily I can finally make a good biscuit. I bake them on a round cast iron griddle and they come out perfect every time now using your instructions.
Wonderful video. I'm from the south (Alabama) and THAT'S my kind of breakfast. I usually use butter instead of Crisco and don't fold as many times, but I'm a gonna try it your way next time. I have some Golden Eagle Table Syrup to go with next time I make Biscuits and Gravy. I always fry one small piece of sausage in the pan to use for my gravy. I add a splash of Worcestershire sauce in the gravy too. But girl, I'd walk a mile to eat breakfast at your house. Thank you for sharing.
I love the blending fork I bought like yours. I use it when I fry chicken in deep fat to keep the crumbs on the chicken. I love it for blending butter or Crisco in pie crusts.
I live in West Virginia. Right along the Ohio River. an hour or so north of our State Capitol. Was so so thrilled to see that my local Walmart started carrying the self rising White Lilly flour. Up here Hudson Creme has always been "THE" flour around here. White Lilly is a completely different dimension. Love it. Sadly, Self rising is all I can find here. No A.P.
Made these this weekend and they turned out perfect! I’ve tried many other biscuit recipes but this was the only one that looked and tasted exactly the way I want a good buttermilk biscuit to look and taste like. Thank you for sharing!
🎶🐦Sweet Tammy, Omg😋 those biscuits look perfect-so flaky & melt in your mouth delicious😋 I have never been able to make good biscuits. I'm going to conquer my saying that "I can't make biscuits" & go right by your recipe & try again. You make it look so easy! I'm going to get "White Lily Flour" for sure. They sell it at "Harvey's" & "Walmart" here in Jacksonville, Fla.👍 I'll be sure & let ya know how they turn out🙏 Thank you Tammy & y'all have a blessed Saturday😃 Loves ya, Pat W. 🌺🌴
I am the WORST biscuit maker in the whole world! I don't know what I do wrong. I would love to spend the day with YOU and you could teach me! Now that would be a dream come true....xoxo
Oh my word. Another beautiful breakfast! I love to put some butter and strawberry jelly on my grits. Your biscuits are perfect! I love bacon gravy. YUM!! 😁 ❤️ ~~Sharon
Hi Tammy. I made your Crunchy Cornbread tonight. It was....hands down the best cornbread I have ever made or eaten!! You are indeed my “Country Cook Diva!”❤️❤️ Thank you.🥰
This is the breakfast I make on Christmas mornings. Grits, biscuits, sausage, and eggs. It's the only time my children stay around long enough. Years ago it was a big affair. The in-laws, aunts, and uncles would all show up, but now they are either dead or too old.
Hey Tammy sweetie♡♡♡ That Breakfast Looks Yummy Delicious ♡♡♡ I can almost taste that red-eye gravy♡♡♡ You are One Super Cook♡♡♡ I hope y'all had a Great day getting Amy and Kaysha's furniture arranged ♡♡♡ I sure did miss you today on Real Southern Woman ♡♡♡ Y'all are in our Prayers ♡♡♡ We Love y'all so very much ♡♡♡ Tammy, you are Such A Generous Soul♡♡♡ That was SO SWEET OF YOU TO GIVE Olivia those Biscuit cutters, Blending Fork, and A CookBook♡♡♡ It feels SO GOOD TO Give♡♡♡ ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD ♡♡♡ Have A Beautiful Blessed Peaceful night ♡♡♡ You are Such A Blessing ♡♡♡
Hi Tammy, I made these biscuits tonight and they were so good. Just the right amount for my husband and I for tonight and tomorrow morning. I enjoy watching your videos and feel like I truly know you and consider you a friend, Thanks so much for sharing your cooking with me..love ya Debra
I learned to make biscuits several yrs ago using real butter. Got good at it with practice. Have you heard of 2 ingredient biscuits? I learned about them on a couple of the you tube channels I watch. They are fun to make too.
My GAWD! These look just heavenly! You'd have to make up two batches if I came to visit you. I believe I could a whole batch of these beauties myself. I'd eat my self miserable with your awesome looking food (and delicious no doubt). So I don't know what ya'll would eat! lol :P Side note, I'm going to learn how to make these just like you make them Tammy!
I made these last night for the very first time using my White Lily Self-Rising Flour to go with homemade chicken soup. And they were light, fluffy and absolutely delicious! Thanks again Tammy for this recipe. I have been searching for an authentic, southern biscuit recipe for years and I have finally found the BEST ONE EVER! We LOVED them and they turned out looking just like yours. So happy! 😁
Hi Miss. Tammy !!! How are ya honey?...... I just loved this biscuit video..........💕 Oh how we love our biscuits !!!!!!!!!! But I wanted to tell you ........... living here in Minnesota This born and raised Southern lady, can not find any of these grocery stores, and there is boo koo.. Of them, They do NOT carry White Lily in any form, SO........ I “ order” mine !!!!!! Just received a new bag of White Lily Buttermilk Self Rise’n Corn Meal !!! Yes Ma’am.......... I “have” to order ALL my White Lily products............. nonetheless........ THAT’S what I must have !! I have been try’n to order the White Lily stickers........... Lord, they run out before this old lady can get to them ! But you can bet I will keep on till I get them 🐷! P.S. THIS IS A PERFECT PLATE !
I ordered the blending fork. I cannot wait to use it. I've never liked my "horseshoe" shaped pastry blender--because it is forever clogged during use, very messy to try and use. Thank you for all your great videos!
Tammy, just the video I've been needing . I asked our hay,s grocery to get us that white lily flour. They carry the self rising cornmeal , but not the flour. Thank you so much , I need that fork also
I learn so much from you. No one taught me to cook like you do so I appreciate your lessons. Can I make biscuit dough with heavy cream instead of milk? You mentioned sweet milk, what is that? My biscuits have never turned out but I want to learn to make them. Should I just follow your exact recipe? Thank you..❤️
I love your biscuit pan, you can tell it has made alot of biscuits. I would never get rid of my mother's cast iron frying pan or even her small baking pan that made many biscuits. I need to learn how to make biscuits but it is hard to make good biscuits for just one person.
Try using the biscuit mix which already has the shortening in it. All you add is the milk. If you just used 1/4 cup mix and a few tablespoons of milk, you could make just a few biscuits.
Wes she has definitely been my go to since we lost Miss Phyllis. I miss her so much. But I'm an NC girl and love me some good southern cooking. Everything I have made from Tammy has been delicious. You need to try her skillet chicken pot pie made with refrigerated pie crust. I made it for company a couple of months ago and they raved about it.
Auntie Tammy, I use 3/4 coconut oil and 1/4 butter in my biscuits, and my husband doesn't know the difference. I prefer the benefits of coconut oil. Your recipe is surely tried and tested. Glad to see you working with the hands God blessed you with!
I didn't know that they still make blending forks today. I've seen references to them in older cookbooks (50+ years ago). That's one gadget I do not have and will need to buy, even though I don't really need it. I usually use an old fashioned pastry cutter for my biscuits. It works just as well. BTW, your biscuits look amazing. 😀
Just found your channel. Love it. Nashville girl turned Texas. Seems yall southern Georgia folks a lot alike. How do you make bacon gravy. My mom passed when I was young. I recall her saying my daddy would make it. Please send it to me.
I have my grandmaw’s biscuit cutter that she made out of a small milnot can. She poked holes in the top with an ice pick for the air to escape! It’s old and rusty but still works great!❤️
Hey Tammy.. I just got one of these forks today. Been looking for a while. Im so excited.it came in the mail tonight.cant wait to start using it. I normally use my hands for everything.
As always, your biscuits look amazing! Do you ever freeze some of them after they've cooled? If so, do they still have that fresh baked taste after thawing and reheating? Thanks!
Perfect timing for this biscuit recipe, since I am making your dressing for thanksgiving! Thanks Tammy & Chris for all the hard work! Oh, and I just got my new measuring cups! Wow, they are so heavy (great quality)! I donated my old plastic ones! LOL. Thanks for the link!

I have my grandmaw’s biscuit cutter that she made out of a small milnot can. She poked holes in the top with an ice pick for the air to escape! It’s old and rusty but still works great!❤️
Soak it in some white vinegar over night then brush with tooth brush
I like biscuits with chicken and I make breakfast sandwiches with eggs, bacon or sausage and strawberry jelly. Also, eat biscuits with honey or syrup.
I Love you guys too. Thanks for the Hospitality.🏠
Incredible how easy you made that look I made some they’re flat as a board
You may not have had them stacked high enough when you cut them out.
@@CollardValleyCooks ok thank you I’ll try again.
I don’t have the cutters, yet at least but I’m gonna try a glass or cookie cutter if it’s thick enough.. breakfast for dinner tonight!
I used the crisco butter to make biscuits they were good.

No I don't like reheated ones so I always make them fresh
