      The resurrection does cause much disturbance, it contradicts the "of flesh" part for some... Ask a Christian if they believe in reincarnation and the responses change time and time again even though the bible explains it in ways... I myself am growing and learning constantly and consider myself to be a "spiritual being" I believe in God and read the word as well, I wish we could talk more 😊

    I'm an agnostic theist and I avoided reading the bible for so long as I fear that I may just completely abandon faith altogether when I read things I don't understand *ahem* Leviticus and Deuteronomy*ahem*... your channel is a great start to learn Christianity. I find that the problems dealt with in Corinthians are the same problems the church is still having today.

      It's difficult to understand the bible without accepting God's authority over all matters. His actions naturally conflict with our own human values, I agree. But He is God, the creator of all things. Jesus Christ is the only tool we have for getting closer to God and understanding His ways. Without Jesus, none of this is possible. I love you very much. I see your point emerlander. It's quite logical and extensive.
      I respectfully add, based on the Biblical teachings that
      this world is damaged by sin. Because of that, things will continue to
      exist in chaos and disharmony, even with the peace and beauty we
      come to know.
      So God prepares a new reality to those who place their trust and faith
      into the resurrected Christ Jesus, all God and all man (John 14).
      Having traveled to Israel myself, the Tomb is still empty.

I'm also experiencing this path like you and continue to see Him help me connect the dots with how He created the world with our current needs of healing in mind. He's not limited by time like we are and is loving, generous, and wise! I'm thrilled I saw how His creation can be used for my pain relief and healing instead of man-made synthetic copies of what He intended as gifts of God for His beloved creation. I'd only discovered this after a Rx was not approved about 10 years ago and I was unwilling to pay $30/pill (instead of $22/pill for what had been working for my symptoms). I PTL He heard my cries and I was open to receiving His earthly benefits yet I choose to still credit Him daily. Be open Cruz Dominguez. BTW sorry you are struggling. Car accidents have long-time impacts. What are you doing for pain relief and what level do you live with? PTL He never leaves us, brother!

      I disagree, our sexual desires are to be used as a gift to show honor to God.
      Which is to get married and have children.
      Find a spouse that also honors God.
      Alcohol is also a gift that people abuse. It doesn't mean you're battling it forever. You just need to honor God with it.
      The struggle is we've been lied to about how to use these gifts. Read some bible and pray for wisdom.

      @nobody9889 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Nick, you're quoting material that's false. It's not considered canon. if you truly want to offer effective argument based on your standpoint, you have to offer references that are considered acceptable. Since you happen to be nitpicking with Judeo-Christians - try actually showing your knowledge on Canon of Scripture.
      Because right now, you're making yourself out to be a little LBGT liberal-who-voted-for-Killary -spoiled bitch with daddy issues.

      If I wanted to argue the fact that ISLAM and MORMONISM directly parallel each other, which they do...
      I would show from ISLAM and MORMON text to reveal their connected and twisted view of reality.

    • @nobody9889
      @nobody9889 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      well it appears I got Nick Coin's attention. There's a problem with entertaining his invitation to this so-called argument of his. Safe to assume Nick Coin is a male that's self-conscience of personal gender??
      If I actually elected to engage, I'd find myself arguing with someone who honestly isn't a Christian (referring to NICK COIN).
      The law of God concludes all are sinful and separated from God.
      I am a Christian because all that's good is not of me, but of Christ. That's the only hope as a mortal I have. Nick Coin's personal view of Christians is they must appear cookie-cutter goodie two shoes church goers. Nothing can appear any more delusional.
      That's already a direct indication of personal scar and pride, animosity against the idea of Jesus. Nick Coin can take comfort that Christians are praying for him.
      Conclusively no Jesus and inner dwelling of His Spirit means no God, no salvation. Hebrews 9:27
      1 Tim 1:15 I am the chief of sinners.
      Based on Nick Coin' posts, it seems to me Nick Coin shows a twisted sense of Scripture. After all, I think I have a better chance proving to Nick Coin either two things: The color of water (determining Nick Coin's personal ability to reason). Once that's established, we can move on to why :
      the same conniving heretical spirit that's in Mormonism is also the same conniving heretical spirit that's in Islam.
      This version that Nick Coin posts from Ecclesiastes is not in the Canon.

    • @nobody9889
      @nobody9889 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those texts [Deuteronomy 13:6-18, Leviticus 21:9, Hosea 13:16] referred to a specific crowd, Moses and the Hebrews.
      I wonder if Nick Coin actually considered the historical perspective and the intended audience.??
      While Nick Coin is again Nitpicking on the OT, I hope he can connect the OT into the NT.
      Book of Romans Apostle Paul knew the Tanakh.
      Chap 3:1-12
      What then? Are we any better?[d] Not at all! For we have previously charged that both Jews and Gentiles[e] are all under sin,[f] 10 as it is written:[g]
      There is no one righteous, not even one.
      11 There is no one who understands;
      there is no one who seeks God.
      12 All have turned away;
      all alike have become useless.
      There is no one who does what is good,
      not even one.[h]
      Jesus is the fulfillment of the Tanakh. His Sovereign authority dictates
      Loving God (Jehovah Elohim, El Shaddai, and Yeshua Logos Addonai) with all our heart, mind, strength and soul
      then loving our neighbor, even if they appear cynical against Jesus like Nick Coin - The whole law hangs on these two.
      He who is without sin, let him be the one to cast the first stone (John 8:7).

    what about in 1 Corinthians 11 (NLT) verse 4-6 when it says “A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying. But a woman dishonors her head if she prays or prophesies without a covering on her head, for this is the same as shaving her head. Yes, if she refuses to wear a head covering, she should cut off all her hair! But since it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or her head
    shaved, she should wear a covering.” i find this important in my opinion!! Great video by the way!! i love your channel, they help me understand and make me love learning about god ❤️❤️

      In my lectures, I note that the issue of men NOT covered and women do cover is more about culture issues than some normative mandate (e.g. the High Priest was ALWAYS covered when he ministered in the Temple and Jewish men still were a yamaka (that little head cover). Men in Corinth Church were NOT to cover because of Roman religion syncretism...look at pictures of the Caesars and you will note they have their cloak up over their head. That meant they were operating as the pagan religious leader. Therefore, in the early Church, men should not mimic paganism by pulling a cover over their head in worship.

    Thank you for clarifying 1st Corinthians for me.. I just got done reading it using the New King James Version. And the language is a little hard to understand. I'm an NIV guy or was, but I've heard a lot of bad things about that translation so I'm trying to use different translations. You really helped me to understand the different parts of 1st Corinthians . After reading it and hearing your breakdown it all makes sense now. God-bless you

    Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

      for you are born for one reason ! accept jesus in your heart and suffer as he suffered so it is the only way for you
      to escape demons and gremlins monsters and hellfire that burn ! god can't go on earth in a magnificent beautiful form !
      he need to impregnante a simple human woman so a second 100% humanified god can be born ! jews will betray him and romans will execute the order of the jews ! but fear not ! cause this simple execution is in reality all the sins of the world that
      jesus carry on his cross while he is crusified ! he is not put to death because the romans sentenced him. but because he
      somehow magically extinguished sin by dying. god is so much great and so smart and love you so much that he sent his son to die without letting him ask his choice "father why have you forsaken me" but somehow his death is magical and save ! read john 13 he still is god ! and in christ we trust ! cause in christ we are saved ! revelations will come and they will all go to hell

      True, but well, Bible project was all about big pictures... So we cannot really complain about it... 😂😂
      But for those fellow brothers who wonder what this verse about?
      Its often used by church to misled doctrinal about "woman's power in church", frankly saying, basically woman need to shut their mouth inside church.
      To understand that verse, 1st, you have to know Paul's character, that he is pretty smart and come with a bonus "sarcastic temperament" in him...
      So if Paul born today, he would totally loves sarcastic joke.
      Anyway, so the story behind the verse, was about Paul sending letter back and forth with churches in Rome...
      And one of the church sent Paul a letter about doctrinal "woman need to be quite, because woman bring shame when they speak",
      So Paul replied "sarcastically", with "read/wrote their statement over to them as they wrote it" and asked the church, whose doctrinal is this? Is it coming from God or from your individual (the leader)?
      He wrote it in such a way as a bold replied, that the doctrinal or statement is wrong.
      For better understanding, i suggest you guys read a few verses (before and after)
      And i will give you real example, if i am Paul replying this comment to the account that started it.
      Me(as Paul): "This is great video blah blah blah blah, missed about the detail about woman need to shut up" dude, are you saying woman need to shut up, or you give suggestion to Bible project to add more details?
      (Then suddenly all people, pointing at me as if im the author of the "message" about complaining/suggestion to Bible Project, whole the real author is not me)
      Yea something like that...
      Hopefully you guys can understand, and remember
      Love God with all your heart.
      (Keep seeeeeeeeking guys!!!)

      It is one of those culturally important, but non essential practices that was cover in the last section. For some reason, head coverings were important in at that time, but are are not proscriptive for all Christians. Basically, Paul is saying that belief in the importance of head coverings is fine and not wearing them is also fine. To love God and to love people is more important.
