Fortunately they are far from the mainstream, but they reach the heart and soul of the listener.
They are my favorite band and I can't wait (when the pandemic is over) to go and hear them live here in Milan, Italy.

Your view of "the current music scene" must be quite limited. Larkin Poe are good--very, very good--but they are hardly the "best" of the musicians currently active.
A matter of fact: There is no "best".
If you disagree, please feel free to explain how Larkin Poe are somehow better than the world's leading symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo classical music artists. How are they better than, for example, Gov't Mule, SHEL, Kamasi Washington, Lovebites, Plini, Joe Bonamassa, Mary Spender, Punch Brothers, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera?
I'd love to see a detailed rational argument.

That's entirely subjective and quite painfully risible. You've actually interviewed every musician in the world to determine which one is "having the most fun playing their music"? Somehow I can't quite believe that.

The sisters did a fantastic concert in Decatur, AL a while back. Damn they are so good! I’d love see or hear Magen and Dereck Trucks jam. And Rebecca and Susan sing some harmonies. I would’ve thought that I had died and gone to heaven. You rock ladies!
Yeah, they are really special. I've read their current interview where they talked about their attempt to revive blues or roots music in a 21st century form. Every one of their last albums was a stepstone in this direction and I am curious what might come next. I hope, they outrun big music business independently and get their reward at last.

I’m chomping at the bit to see this amazing band LIVE!
I first saw you on the CBS Saturday show. Since then I have listened to & watched little else, bought all your albums, and introduced you to many others. It is great to see a young band that has its roots in classic rock & blues. Having seen the Allman Brothers & ABB members in concert 95 times, I really like the 2 guitar / slide sound. Loved the reference to them in this song. And you sing like angels! Can't wait to see you when you tour, especially with all the great songs from Self Made Man.

One could easily listen to Rebecca sing a phone book. She has that once in a generation voice. Megan is a phenomenal slide player. They're great as they are, but adding a real strong hotlicks guitar player to augment Megan would be a great addition. There are plenty of great female guitar players out there. They just need to find the right one.

They weren’t a duo......there was a 3rd, older sister in the band...
Larkin Poe started after she left The Lovell Sisters. But I'm sure she influenced their growth. She was great too.

@@CorneiliusLibowitz Jessica decided that the life of a touring musician wasn't for her, so she gave up performing and went off to college. She's not in witness protection or anything, just living a normal life out of the spotlight.
These sisters are very talented and worthy of admiration but to disrespect the two other musicians

I like these two, but no way is this rendition anything more than meh. I like their original stuff more than their take on this ferociously classic blues staple.
