New subscriber from singapore buddy! 💪🏻 As an ex singapore army i just wanna say that muay thai is certainly effective. Because if it's not. The army would certainly not teach us during our basic close combat training. 1 to 1 with an enemy combatant using muay thai would surely destroy their jaws with our elbows 😅 but, that's not the only fighting style that we are equipped with. Anyway.. great content brother! And u are surely an informed fighter i may say... 🫡More brother! More! 👏🏻

3:08 American-style uses a mix of shotokan karate techniques, boxing punches and very mobile footwork. There's also Dutch-style, which generally consists of aggressive, flat-footed pressure fighting by combining elements of kyokushin karate (a full-contact, knockdown karate style, which is an awesome sport btw), boxing and muay thai. As well as Japanese kickboxing (my personal feavorite), which I'd say is sort of a hybrid of slick, pro-style boxing head movement/footwork and karate, though a large number of Japanese fighters don't really fit this label (e.g. Masato, Takeru and Sato etc...).

I do agreed with you, this fight is competition between two Martial Arts, Muay Thai and American Boxing, both fighting Arts Styles and Technics should be implemented accordingly not suppose to be minused (remove). Even though Muay Thai gave up many Fighting Styles Technics for the Fight, then the only Low kick to be allowed. When American lost His younger Brother kip complaining to criticized Thai Boxer literally using low Kick to win such an unskillfully boxing. It's true this fight, I see that the Thai boxer (Changpoeuk K.) is better endurance and amazingly unbelievable, he manages to survive and absorbed heavy kicks and punches from his opponent. Changpoeuk Kaosongrit's a truly deserved to win the fight. Thank you !😇✌🙏

For Thai boxers, the first round is "honorable round". They don't fight much, mostly are for getting to know each other. Rufus was not limited by this idea and he beated Changpuek pretty bad. Frustrated from broken jaw bone and the too stict referee, he put it all back to Rufus.

12:03 Raymond Daniels is the only modern kickboxer I know of that used an American-style in kickboxing. The ruleset still exists, though the entire sport (kickboxing and muay Thai) is really unpopular in North America these days.
