Sure, it’s heavier than everything else that you probably own but the only potential flaw I could nitpick is, if my hands were a little bit bigger than my pinky would slip below the mag well… but it doesn’t therefore it’s pretty damn awesome handgun for me!
I am a dad but I am not letting go of my metal and hardcore roots and I posit that CAMO SHORTS are the ultimate dad gear. I think this is the one I’ve been waiting for. I don’t know much about competitions but when I held one at a shop it felt right in my hand. Now I just want to get one and go hit some targets.

I have a 92x RDO compact it's my first hammer fired all metal pistol, it's very accurate. I originally wanted the Centurion but the Compact was all I could find locally, so I'll be taking my CPL class with it and the the actual qualification soon after. I can't wait to see the comparison video.
I'm running an LTT RDO now. Was thinking of either A - switching to CZ/Tangfolio or B - Getting either Alessandro or another Rodeo as a backup. Looking forward to your comparison.
Hope you can try the Tanfoglio Stock 1 and regular version Stock 3 in the future. These would be interesting to compare with the Tanfoglio Stock 2, CZ Shadow 2 and Alessandro with just the iron sights.
I have no optic on mine, it shoots perfect the way it is, the size is great it looks very impressive people even have great comments when they see it when I'm at the shooting range, kinda or heavy but loww recoil.. Its perfect out the gun case.
For ultimate BDE vibes, you gotta go with some fishing oriented shorts. I have some Columbia shorts that are short short styled but have some low key zipper pockets on the side for those few times you need them. Best of both worlds!
I gotta say, I do slightly prefer the Langdon Beretta 92g Elite BECAUSE of the slide decocker and not the frame safety, call me crazy but I do have two good reasons for it (I think) 1) Using the decocker is much safer than just manually lowering it, though it’s not hard to do it manually. I Just prefer to have the chance to let it do it for me anyways. 2) Trigger jobs are significantly easier on the 92g Elite than they are on the 92x Performance because the frame is simpler on the 92g than the 92xP. Due to the lack of a real safety (aside from the firing pin block lifter) on the 92g, detail disassembly on a Beretta is so easy that I’d argue it’s easier than most other hammer fired guns ever. The 92xP suffers from the additional complexity in the trigger control group (due to the frame safety), and so trigger jobs on it are more difficult. That being said, I also generally prefer the M9A1/92A1 profile of frame because I have gigantic hands, so I probably don’t represent the majority of people, and I’d still love to get a 92xP at some point.
I get what you are saying, but owning and having done trigger jobs on both the 92XP and a traditional G model 92, once you have the tool for the safeties (a sleeved .9mm punch) it’s less difficult. And the trigger group on the 92XP is fantastic. And in my opinion, once you disassemble the slide to replace the firing pin spring (which is part of any tuning I do), the complexity on the decocker model is higher! In any case, they are awesome to shoot, both of them, and I’m glad to see Beretta is releasing more models with frame mounted safeties.
I just got back from family cruise to the Bahamas, I was rocking Jean Shorts and White New Balance to help make Jorts the official Dad Pants. My adult children thought it was funny but my Dad didn't know that Dad shorts were a thing. He was rocking cargo shorts. I just bought my first pistol a Canik Rival. There were so many great options in the under $800 range,. BUT I found a darkside in stock and even the grumpy old-timers at several gun shops confessed that Canik was a great gun even ifis Turkish
Cargo shorts will always beat short shorts because to be a Dad is to be practical and the extra pockets help carry shit your wife and kids always forget.
The black coating is DLC (diamond like coating) Beretta was not willing to inform me of what KIND of DLC as not all DLC is equal. However, DLC is better than np3/np3+ which is what LTT does.
Shot well, I bought it friday, and shot it sunday... Now, I'm no marksman, but my friend who has been shooting since he was 6 and I've been shooting since I was 32 (I'm 35), said the default siting is terrible on this thing. Which made me feel better about myself. Which is fine, it's a gun you're supposed to put an optics on. THOUGH... JUST SAYIN' Walther sites theirs properly from the factory. Yet that beretta case was fancy, and came with a combo lock on the case. Definitely was fun to play with. Was going to go with the 92FS (since Resident Evil, that's the STARS gun), but that felt like a toy, I'm so spoiled by Steel Frames.
This has an adjustable rear - it’s a competition gun - you are supposed to zero it to your load- almost every gun with adjustable sights I have had to zero - including a Walther.
@@TheHumbleMarksman As I said, only 3 years into gun ownership. SO... Still very much in the learning process. Also, I don't buy for competition shooting, but if the thing looks nice and I can trust it fires well. Which it did both. That zeroing in thing sounds like a pain. What do you mean "LOAD" does grain count affect aim? I mean I did purposefully go with "COMPETITION" guns due to their heft, and to help over correct new shooting issues. I have polymers, they're not my favorite, but I do have a couple of them.
So every projectile - due to profile , weight - whatever is going to impact a little differently in every gun. There is a couple inch shift going from 115 to 147 at 25 yards- an adjustable rear allows you to easily zero your gun so the sights are true to the load you happen to be shooting - each factory box from different manufacturers is going to be slightly different and sometimes seriously. That’s why the gun is that way - it’s a feature not a bug. Yeah it’s a pain in the butt to do somewhat but the end result is worth it
@@TheHumbleMarksman Okay. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I just buy and shoot. I tend to only buy "INTERESTING" and "UNUSUAL" guns. Not the best method, but... They started offering this model mid year - it’s a thing
@@TheHumbleMarksman she is going to be pumped when I tell her. Great work as always David.
So, youre really into competition shooting. What forums, sites do you visit to "keep up" with that type of stuff?
these days - not so much - I used to go to Brian Enos - but now just keep in touch with myself shooting friends via instagram and group chats.
Can u review 92xi sao?
id love to hear your thoughts on the new s&w m&p metal competitor model
Same. Wish it wasn't 1k.
Can you do a review of the RIA 5.0?
I want to got a line on how I can get ahold of one?
I love the beretta
Sorry, Big Dave, but cargo shorts for life.
you're living in the past old man!
@@TheHumbleMarksman 😂
Sadly you cannot get optics ready version on this 92X in northern Europe. I am almost sure that the gun does not even come to Europe in fist quarter of 2023. Literally impossible to know anything when Beretta is not answering to my emails and retailer emails. Sako in Finland is clueless when they get these pistols here.
Beretta has horrible customer service!!
I would really like hear your opinion on the grand power x calibur.
I'd really like them to make an optic ready gun!
@@TheHumbleMarksman They are supposed to be working on that, but they usually take their time and there will be export/import stuff in between before it leaves Europe.
Good Stuff bro
I'm in between this and the new Sig AXG Legion. I know they're different styles, but anyone have any thoughts to sway me? (minus the 320 shoots itself stuff).
Want a heavy gun or a light one?
@@TheHumbleMarksman good point- I guess that’s a relative term. Heavier rather than lighter.
Antonio Banderas/Puss In Boots’ accent is Spanish, not Italian. Just so you know😂. Good review and very nice looking gun though… Happy New Year🎇.
Oh - that was not lost on me
Short shorts, especially when paired with the correct set of socks, are clearly superior in their ability to be embarrassing to your children in public.
and comfort + embarrassment = winning.
will you review the Arex Delta gen 2?
maybe much later next year if I do
Synthwave is so nice...
It really is!
When it's hot, short shorts keep you cooler. In any case, my short shorts have cargo pockets..
