I am in northern Alberta, Canada and when it reached -45 below F in January 2024. I flew my DJI mini 2 drone using triple blade propeller kit in -45 below extremely cold temperatures, it also flies smoother and handles higher gust winds too.

That was real nail biter at the end, but I'm glad you got it land on solid ground, the road actually. The cold weather really did kill the battery life on that flight. Great video Sean, the scenery was beautiful, like a winter wonderland out there. Thanks for sharing.

Howdy Sean. Man O Man, you sure cut this flight close. The Mini 2 sure is a great little drone with much gusto! Thanks for taking us along on this beautiful flight. One thing is for sure, it's a LOT warmer watching inside as you are freezing your butt outside, LOL! The Mini 2 is the biggest bang for the buck these days! Take Care!

I've had my mini 2 since Christmas of 2022, if I'd had to do it again I'd get this same drone. Not a huge cinematographer, I'm happy with this sensor as it gives me pictures/videos beyond what I thought was possible. I'm aware there are upgrades on later models, but there is no need for me. Lack of collision sensors is something I'm happy to live without as well. It also gives me more than enough flight time with the fly more combo. Very satisfied, great video btw, beautiful lands.

The furthest I’ve flown with my mini 2 se was 10,640ft in urban area had to increase my altitude for better signal. Without using antennas. I could have gone further if not for the no fly zone ahead. Plenty of battery life left at 56 percent. Fighting windy on way back made it back with 30 percent battery life I’m impressed with this drone

I just got a mini 2 fly more as a gift from my aunt. And unfortunately had to get rid of my go pro karma. But this drone is insanely cool. Can’t wait to pick up a mini 3 pro here soon!

Да,зимой акб садится быстрее,да и ветер на высоте сильнее,чем летом.Я вам советую купить усиленную акб на Алишке,по крайне мере летом с ней можно улететь на 9 км. в одну сторону с благополучным возвратом.И если вам интересно,то мой вам совет,старайтесь направлять антенны ровно на дрон.Представьте,что ваш пульт,это веер,развёрнутый в горизонтальной плоскости.Так вот,самая середина веера,это самое сильное излучение сигнала.И ещё,сигнал больше распространяется по горизонтали,в вертикальной области он имеет меньшее покрытие,особенно это заметно при дальних полётах.В вашем случае вы сильно задрали пульт вверх,но так как расстояние всего 3 км.,естественно разницу вы не заметили.При дальних полётах ещё надо учитывать искривление магнитных силовых линий,при этом сигнал теряет свою линейность.Удачных вам полётов.

I bought a Mini 3 Pro when it was released back last summer, camera was fantastic but didn’t like the design compared to the Mini 2 so I sold it. Somebody got a good deal nonetheless. I picked up a Mini SE for flying in the snow/fog/light rain etc. I much prefer the Mini 2 design!

That Mini is definitely a great drone Sean, and true as to not letting anyone down? All honestly, I'm not too sure about them because of the wind and stuff like that? I do trust the DJI Mini's as to the Autel.
I do have the Mavic Air 2, and Air 2S? I fly them anywhere without a second thought because I know they will come back as long as I'm not pushing it.

Wind is no good on the original mini. The mini2 is a beast in wind.

All the minis are battery limited on distance. Pretty much go until the battery gets to the get home safely limit.
That would be nice. Just depends on the environment.
These are done to show that closer flying should have a strong signal.

what do you use to record the screen to see the elevation and speed?
iPhone has a screen record in it.
Was more scared of landing on the road than on the lake, I was like ,Run! Before a car comes down the road lol.🤦🏽♂️🤪
It’s a bike path. The tire make is a small snow plow. Would have sucked though. Lol.

Hey Ozz! I got a Mini 3 (not the pro)! Just wondering because I’ve watched so many review videos but In comparison to the mini 2 do you have a brief overview of what the 3 does better than the 2?
I don’t have a three, but it does have sensors which allows it to do more automated flying than the two. The cameras also better, and it has longer battery life just name a couple things.

The newest version is the SE, which is supposed to handle wind better (ESC program change?). I am always battling wind, so, that's important. Great review and info attached. Since I don't have one or am familiar with the app, is the 21 MPH the wind speed? If it can handle that fairly well, that's a big plus. Thanks.

Truck blocks signal so not great to show others the signal strength that way. But I do when for myself. 😊

Winds are less strong lower down, you would have been better off lowering altitude to get back safely.
That is correct about winds. But with where I was the smart choice was get height due to the forced landing. If low you have very little time to go far Vs getting altitude when forced landing happens.
