I think strict SBMM makes sense for 1v1. Maybe I’m weak but the moment I play someone simply a bit better than me in every category in that playlist, I get dunked on over and over again. At least in 4v4 there are times where you can come up for air.
Not how that works, get a pc Edit: guys, I get it. Bethesda has "mods." But they are restrictive, cost money, and lack variety. They have to be vetted by Bethesda to make sure they don't cause issues because people can't fix issues that come up with modding. You just can't effectively mod on Xbox the way you can on pc.

The match as a whole might be balanced, but the gap between the worst and best player on is so massive its disgusting. The SBMM system should make sure people from each team are as close in skill to each other rather than looking at the average of the skill of all the players in the match

Remember 343 was under Microsoft complete control. The executives forced them to do micro transactions in halo 5 and infinite. They also forced rushed the game and released it unfinished. It is important to always blame people who are actually responsible and who can actually change it.

I love Halo, but until the SBMM is definitely made less strict I still don't want to touch the games with a 10 foot pole. Infinite goes way too far with its SBMM. As far as Halo on PlayStation goes, it'd be kind of sad to see _the_ reason to get an Xbox no longer be considered such. But I can't deny I jumped at Black Ops 6 on the PS5 for its DualSense support and Flick Stick controls, and Xbox as a platform stubbornly _refuses_ to officially support gyro aiming while both PlayStation and especially Nintendo do. I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to play Halo on PS instead if it followed in CoD's footsteps on that front.
Oh thanks! I saw it and immediately was reminded of messing around on Halo 2 as a kid, flipping around the menus and seeing how different color combos and emblems looked on the Spartan and Elite as the soundtrack played in the background.

I used to be an avid speed runner, even managed top 10 times on some levels. The in game leaderboards are just atrocious with 0:00 times taking up the 1st 20 spots and exploit seconds runs... I wish they would fix this and make the leaderboards relevant again.
Are you talking about the leaderboards in mcc? Because yes they are very inaccurate. If you want your times to be recognised, there is an entire website and community of people tracking the top times for the halo games. It's called haloruns
As a lifelong Halo fan, I would love for Halo to be brought to Playstation. XBOX fan for life, but new fans to the franchise are always welcome to the cookout.
When it comes to halo on PlayStation since I am a pc gamer who does not own ANY consoles, I don't care either way. Personally, if it happens all it will mean for me is a larger player base for cross platform multiplayer.
Halo on Playstation, I grew up playing halo from the day I could pick up a controller and I was a 90s baby. It was a fond childhood memory and experience. I'm genuinely happy for them if they get the opportunity to share the same experiences and I hope they get to be enlightened by the awesome journey and hell I'd even say I'm envious they get to experience it from the beginning as I dream I could ever get the chance to fall in love with the franchise I adore to this day regardless of its ups and downs. I'm not going to be a gate keeping petty child over who gets to and who doesn't get to play it but maybe the expanded fanbase will help push the company to flourish and I want to see it at the top of charts again so I'll always be open to it because who am I to say who does and doesn't get to appreciate something I believe deserves the praise.
At the least they are strongly thinking about Playstation halo. Due to players consistently against against the pay for cosmetics system, having halo on Playstation gives them more game sales as well as more ppl paying for cosmetics.

I think we're past the console exclusivity phase of gaming bro. Nearly every PS & Xbox game is on PC, Xbox is focusing their monopoly as a brand on game development across the board hence all the company buy outs. They will make more money licensing games to Playstation, than not.
If anyone is playing on Xbox. Set your video Fidelity and overscan mode from auto recommended to HDMI. It will make your screen go to 640p for a minute but just hit the back button and set your settings to 1080p at either 60 or 120. This will get rid of the input lag on Xbox. It works. I figured this out after wondering why my aim was so garbage on this game for 2 years. And now it actually feels like Halo again.
Im happy to have the classic Halo Games be available on playstation through MCC, but the new games should at least release on xbox and come to playstation in the future

I think Halo coming to PS is only a good thing. Nothing has weakened the Xbox brand more than Xbox themselves, be it "if you want to play offline get an Xbox 360" or "if you want extra storage it'll be 3x the price of what it costs on PS5." So Halo being on a competing system is fine by me, any loyalty I had to Xbox died years ago anyway. Especially since I've been on PC only for about two years now, my Series X is just a blu-ray player at this point.

That would explain why my MCC fileshare went MIA for a day this week, must've been 343 fine tuning something regarding the cheater fix and it broke the fileshares briefly. As an Xbox user I would love that franchises like Gears of War and Halo release on Play Station, both future and past games… It would revitalize both franchises and make them even bigger. At the end of the day, we need more players to experience and like the games we love.
Console exclusivity is a thing of the past and I have to agree, nobody should be barred from fantastic gaming experiences just because of their preference in console.
Given that Xbox doesn’t get any of the PlayStation exclusives, I don’t see why Microsoft should give access to two of their biggest exclusives to Sony.
I feel like it diminishes the need for an Xbox. If Halo, Gears, and Forza are going to PlayStation, why keep an Xbox going into next gen. Yes, it would liven up the player bases drastically but at the expense of Xbox console sales. Which already rank 3rd. Sony won’t ever give us their exclusives anyway.

I'm not going to be a gate keeping petty child over who gets to and who doesn't get to play it but maybe the expanded fanbase will help push the company to flourish and I want to see it at the top of charts again so I'll always be open to it because who am I to say who does and doesn't get to appreciate something I believe deserves the praise.
They better put campaign cross-play for everyone

The delta 2 playlist truly makes me exited to play halo again. I don’t even know why but no sprint makes me feel like home.
At the least they are strongly thinking about Playstation halo. Due to players consistently against against the pay for cosmetics system, having halo on Playstation gives them more game sales as well as more ppl paying for cosmetics.

I think we're past the console exclusivity phase of gaming bro. Nearly every PS & Xbox game is on PC, Xbox is focusing their monopoly as a brand on game development across the board hence all the company buy outs. They will make more money licensing games to Playstation, than not.
I say bring Halo to PS in exchange for Helldivers 2.
If anyone is playing on Xbox. Set your video Fidelity and overscan mode from auto recommended to HDMI. It will make your screen go to 640p for a minute but just hit the back button and set your settings to 1080p at either 60 or 120. This will get rid of the input lag on Xbox. It works. I figured this out after wondering why my aim was so garbage on this game for 2 years. And now it actually feels like Halo again.

I think Halo coming to PS is only a good thing. Nothing has weakened the Xbox brand more than Xbox themselves, be it "if you want to play offline get an Xbox 360" or "if you want extra storage it'll be 3x the price of what it costs on PS5." So Halo being on a competing system is fine by me, any loyalty I had to Xbox died years ago anyway. Especially since I've been on PC only for about two years now, my Series X is just a blu-ray player at this point.
Wow hearing the turnabout on that MCC cheater fix actually gives me hope for MCC. That would explain why my MCC fileshare went MIA for a day this week, must've been 343 fine tuning something regarding the cheater fix and it broke the fileshares briefly.
Hey Mint can you ask Halo Studios if they can increase the private file limit from 50 to 1000 on MCC? Would help us Forgers out a LOT.

As an Xbox user I would love that franchises like Gears of War and Halo release on Play Station, both future and past games…
It would revitalize both franchises and make them even bigger. At the end of the day, we need more players to experience and like the games we love.

Console exclusivity is a thing of the past and I have to agree, nobody should be barred from fantastic gaming experiences just because of their preference in console.
Given that Xbox doesn’t get any of the PlayStation exclusives, I don’t see why Microsoft should give access to two of their biggest exclusives to Sony.
I feel like it diminishes the need for an Xbox. If Halo, Gears, and Forza are going to PlayStation, why keep an Xbox going into next gen.
Yes, it would liven up the player bases drastically but at the expense of Xbox console sales. Which already rank 3rd. Sony won’t ever give us their exclusives anyway.
