Yeah I watched this video, there are mistakes. A lot of it is bad wording which can lead to a misunderstanding of the method. It also assumes that your testing will prove tour hypothesis, which is not always the case It should be 1. Observe. The includes seeing something that needs explaining and informing yourself what is known about this phenomenon. 2. Formulate hypothesis. Based on your observation and what you now know, make an informed guess on what is going on. Your hypothesis must be both informed and testable to be a hypothesis. 3. Test. Devise controlled experiments to prove or disprove your hypothesis. 4. Conclude and revise. If your experiments prove, and can't disprove your hypothesis, you accept it. If your experiments disprove your hypothesis, your revise your hypothesis based on your new knowledge and test again.
The Scientifc Method is flawed as follows: 1. Observation : we cannot see many things even with the best tools available. You cannot see the 4th dimension (excl time). So this is also a Limitation of the Method. 2. CONCLUDE : Given that the entire scientist community of the world know approx Zero about the entire natural world, most of the Conclusions are and will be Wrong. This explains the numerous flawed Theories

Something to note is the color of the coins. All of the coins valued under 1 Shekel are golden, while all of the coins that are valued at or above 1 Shekel are silver. The one outlier is the 10 Shekel coin, which is golden with a thick silver trim. Have a good day observing coins!

In Malaysia, we have 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c. The size changes from smallest to biggest according to the value too. Is 5c smaller because we need more 5c to have 50c, then stacking smaller coins will be easier and save space to change them to 50c?
Swiss here! We had many years ago a 1 rp and a two rp which supported your hypothesis. Today we don't have them anymore but we have still the rest: 5 rp is smaller than 10 rp is smaller than 20 rp is bigger than 50 rp is smaller than 1 CHF is smaller than 2 CHF is smaller than 5 CHF As you can see your hypothesis does not stand against the 0.5 CHF coin.
I have been telling people that a hypotheses (or a theory) cannot be proven correct. It can only stand a test or fail a test and be proven wrong. Is that in line with your comment at @4:55 ?
And you suppose that makes sense? You can prove something is false but you can't prove that something is true? You seem to be saying that forensics science evidence cannot prove it is true that the accused is guilty...
- Maybe the coin is bigger because the imprint on the coin can only fit that size of a coin and it's worth is related to the art on it? - Maybe it's the amount of material and type of material that it is made of? (probably the reason) - Maybe it's because that's the way they were first made (the very first coins of X type) and they didn't bother changing it because they were lazy? - Maybe this is actually related to the total area/circumference/width of the coin and not how big (volume) it is? - Maybe it's based on the amount of metal paint used for each coin which requires a bigger surface area, so it's not the size that determines it's worth but the size correlates to the amount of paint they need per coin? - Maybe it's because the technology that used to exist to make the less valuable coins was not capable to make the bigger type of coins and their worth is lesser because of age and not size? - Maybe it's based on the coin's weight? - Maybe it's based on the amount of electricity each coin gain harness? - Maybe it's based on the coin's buoyancy level? - Maybe it's a combination of some of the above and there are very specific combinations that determine each coins' worth? That's all I could come up with in addition to your size suggestion :]
a dime is worth more than a nickel, but way smaller. That disproves that all coins value of worth are correlated with their size (unless the dime is some weird exception).
The hypothesis about coin size is incorrect, at least in the U.S. A penny is worth 1 cent, but a dime is worth ten cents yet it's smaller than the penny. Did you intend to provide that?

I am doing my topic on this because I was told that wearing no socks under your spikes would help your time improve, so I stopped running track with socks on at the meets. I began to see my times improve after I had stopped wearing socks and believed the two were related. 2. My hypothesis is that not wearing socks while running track does not improve your speed. The variables I use would be track speed, and running with or without socks. The socks would be the independent variable, while track speed would be the dependent variable. The socks would be independent because wearing socks depends on nothing. The track speed would be the dependent variable because it depends on whatever is happening with the socks. 4. I would use a controlled group of runners for my experiment. I would use track runners who have experience as the subjects to conduct this experiment. Using random everyday people wouldn’t be a good choice of subjects because they aren’t use to running competitively and how to run track properly. 5. If the runners know that an experiment is being conducted they might subconsciously change how they run. Because of this I want my runners to run their absolute best with and without socks, after they finish the experiment I will tell them that they were in a experiment. 6. In Trinidad and Tobago we mainly have 1c, 5c, 10c, 25c. The size does not determine the value in my country. The 5c is the biggest and the 10c is the smallest here.
In Malaysia now we have two different version of 20c and 50c respectively, the older ones being much bigger in size than the newer ones. But to substitute its size and to equalize its value... the newer ones are made golden while the older ones remain silver.
In my country, Guatemala, up to date there are no many coins, but the old ones, not all of them have a correlation between size and value. For example, 1 cent is bigger than the one of 5 cents. Instead, 10 cents coins are bigger than 5 cents coins.

the scientific method has six steps
1.Observe and ask Questions.
2.Research in this stage we research the question.
3.Formulate a hypothesis: in this stage we come up with an theory to our question.
4.Test the Hypothesis: here we test our theory.
5.Conclude in this stage we come to a conclusion from the results of our research.
6.Share results: here we we share our ideas and results.
Thank you so much, my native language is Spanish. I have learned how to pronounce more words, and I have improve my knowledge of the scientific method.

7:25 Dr. Squatch, MLMs, most religions, and homeopathic products: take note. Also, to answer the final question: in the US, for the most part, larger coins are worth more. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule: the half-dollar and dime. The JFK Half dollar is 30.6 mm in diameter according to Wikipedia. The full dollar is only 26 mm. The dime is a tiny 17mm across, while the nickel is 21mm.
Great informative, educational video. It explains the scientific method clearly. thanks a lot

Exactly
1. Observe and question
2. Research
3. Formulate Hyphotesis
4. test your hypothesis
5. Analyzing and Conclude
6.Share the results

In Trinidad and Tobago we mainly have 1c, 5c, 10c, 25c. The size does not determine the value in my country. The 5c is the biggest and the 10c is the smallest here.
This is the video we watched in class today😂
same lol
Me too
THANKS FOR THIS, IT WAS REALLY HELPFUL FOR ME!!!!!❤💝💟👌👌

glad you like them and you find them helpful. How old are you, if I may ask?
a dime is smaller than penny. :) Excellent presentation Sir.
In Malaysia now we have two different version of 20c and 50c respectively, the older ones being much bigger in size than the newer ones. But to substitute its size and to equalize its value... the newer ones are made golden while the older ones remain silver.
when I grow up Iwant to be a scientist and I am.
The music really is "can I copy your homework?" "yeah, but change it a bit" but for the Sailor Moon op
In europe, 5 cents is smaller than 10 cents and 1 euro is smaller than 50 cents. Other than that it does apply

In Australia, the largest value coin - the $2 coin - is the smallest. Therefore we conclude and can report that the hypothesis is false.
ok your experiment about men vs women is stupid and pretty stereotypical but i diffidently approve of the flying hamsters

I love this because scienc is my favorite 🤫🤫
If science is to find the truth and nothing but the truth how is something falsifiable if it's possibly false? It's a best guess scenario.

In my country, Guatemala, up to date there are no many coins, but the old ones, not all of them have a correlation between size and value. For example, 1 cent is bigger than the one of 5 cents. Instead, 10 cents coins are bigger than 5 cents coins.
this helps cause there is drawing XD
Quick question, isn’t 10c more than 5c? Than why is it smaller than 5c!?
why does my comment have 1 like
No 3
No five
No 12
