Absolutely beautiful Keeping the Paradigm in the fandom's consciousness (stuff like this, fanmade stories, etc) is a good idea Lets the showrunners see that we're fine with a general "new look" or direction to take the Daleks...the Paradigm just needed some tweaking. Not *abandoned* altogether.
I still maintain that one of the 'massive' problems with the New Paradigm was their ridiculous size. This design goes a long way toward correcting that.
these look absolutely amazing! i was always fascinated by the paradigm daleks and i am sad that we never got to see them properly executed into doctor who. it's really nice to see what could have been! great job!
I actually really like this redesign. When the paradigm Daleks were revealed I liked the height of them, because something about the deadliest creature in the universe being shorter than the a lot of people made them seem slightly comical to me. That being said, the new proportions that you have shown actually look a lot better. They’re not as bulky as the Paradigm 1.0. I really like the metallic paint and more muted colours. The fact you were able to add the plunger and gun with little to no changes too show how disproportionate it was in the Paradigm 1.0. I like the dome too. With the eyes-stalk I would maybe like to see a bit more texture, maybe add the “fins” but not as prominent. Other than that. A brilliant redesign. The side by side comparison really shows how big of an impact a few minor tweaks can have. The Paradigm 1.0 almost looked like it had a hunch-back! If they looked like this the first time around, I don’t think people would have many issues. Great job!!
absolutely brilliant, only thing I would add is some slats, not super bulky ones but kind of like a mix of the bronze dalek's and classic dalek's slats if that makes sense
'Rewatching this video whilst typing this comment, I retract what I said about the colours, I think the current colours you've applied work, really well and it does bring off that 60s movie homages impressively.
Much, much better than the original Paradigm Daleks. Although if it were me doing them I would lose the “weapon hatch” at the rear and have the eight hemispheres in its place (the whole “extra weapons” bit was completely undone by the line “Total disintegration! Obliterate!”, and then the STANDARD gun being used to carry out the order. They really missed a trick there).
This is really cool, I've always been a huge fan of the original Paradigm design. I wish they had been able to do something like this instead of transitioning back to the Bronze Daleks, with some kind of lore for why the change was made maybe. I'm glad you kept the vent, I see a lot of fan redesigns get rid of it, when that's part of what lends this design so much of its "weight", at least imo. Personally, I'm fond of the original eyestalk, think it lends that sort of "dangerous" look and complements the Paradigm Dalek's sharp edges, but the sleeker design seems to fit just as well :)
Oh this is by FAR mny favourite redesign of the Paradigm, I normally find they either try to keep too mcuh to the problem silhouette, or they go back to the original but don't scale the elements down quite right so the parts feel too big for the overall size. For my personal aesthetic tastes I think the colours should be a little deeper, or the shinyness tweaked a bit - the Asylum red and blue were gorgeous deep colours, here...maybe its the scale of the roughness but it reminds me a little much of christmas decorations here, much as the colours are nice in isolation. But thats just a personal colour preference, these are gorgeous
The New New Dalek Paradigm. I do actually like the Paradigm casings somewhat, besides the back which dear god really does stick out a lot, so seeing them shrunk down to a sensible size is really nice. Kinda feel like these ones a little too reflective and shiny though, but it's better to have the feel like they're made of Dalekanium, not plastic.
A good taste of practicality in mind for that down sizing for maneuverability! I do think I would have kept the pupil personally that was one of my favorite features of the paradigm daleks. The colored neck rims are neat!

I didn't want to leave behind the brighter shades and 60s movie homages that were part of the design brief I plan on creating my own fully original Dalek design at some point that will probably be a bit darker than these.
The problem with Paradigm Daleks is that we never got to see them at there full potential. They had large humps because it was originally supposed to open up at the back of the skirt and swivel unique attachments along the center that would replace the plunger when needed. Budgets never allowed us to see this on screen, and I've always wanted to. Shame. BTW - I LOVE your redesign. If I were to tweak anything . . . I'd keep the rings under the head/dome the same gun metal black as the center of the frame for a little contrast. Fantastic work.
well done, no really well done this makes them look more pleasing by eye, as Im on my path to making a hybrid of using the 60s basis skirts and working around them, lovely detail, looks lie a mixture of Liberian bots 3d renders and Anthony lambs too, yes the design matches perfectly to the standard Dalek silhouette without going on about me it looks exactly how im approaching my idea but a 3d render, I swear im not copying but mine so far is looking close to yours over on my channel with the look and colour schemes im going for but lovely work non the less keep it up Cameron

I have to say that these do look cool 😎 I certainly love what you’ve done with the eternal and Scientist Dalek they look amazing and fit in well with the others. I agree that Daleks look amazing in red and white but I’d also love to see a design in perhaps purple and Gold or silver as maybe an emperor or guard. The only thing I’ll say is perhaps a little more could have been added to the supreme just to make it a little different from the others but that’s me nitpicking. Tbh I’ve always loved the paradigm Daleks so I was very sad to see them tossed away so quickly because of the fans complaining.I always thought the paradigm Daleks were more imposing and intimidating than the time war Daleks they served as a superior class rank of Daleks and I liked it, I also liked the ranking system especially when they changed it to muted metallic colours. Personally I think the Daleks are in desperate need of an update or a slight redesign because the time war Daleks are becoming less intimidating every time they appear and I’m sort of tired of seeing the same design over and over. Perhaps RTD will update them again for his second era (probably not but fingers crossed 🤞🏻) I love your designs btw they’re very cool 😎. I wish you were a designer at the BBC for the show I think you would contribute some amazing ideas 💡 to the show. Xx
There's something about the midsection I don't like, the bits where the manipulator arm and gun sprout. I don't know why, but I don't like how they're positioned.
I do think the concept of "drone" would have been helped by a few more props! Still, there's other roles they could reveal later, and the mystery of "Eternal" would have been great if followed up on
I’ve always suspected that if you were to reassign the classic ‘Shawcraft’ Dalek silhouette to that of the ‘Paradigm’ Daleks’, whilst retaining the redesigned features of the latter, one would end up with something pretty special (I’ve done this before on my own ‘DeviantArt’ page, but only with a pencil and paper, and I can’t mention my name / handle in this comment or else it will be -deleted- _exterminated,_ but it’s not important anyway). I don’t know why the art department in Series 5 chose to warp Peter McKinstry’s concept design to the extent that they did when building the Paradigm’s physical props. I think something went dreadfully wrong in interpreting McKinstry’s art, and everything ‘gracefully ugly’ about it became exaggerated, until only the ‘ugly’ in lieu of the grace was left. There’s something very ‘sixties futurism’ about these Daleks - a sixties futurism you’ve captured brilliantly here, by the way! - that is absolutely perfect for the aesthetic of all _Doctor Who_ (though the ‘seventies futurism’ of the Pertwee era was / is also a great look for the show).
This is less “fixing” them and more overcompensating by going too far in the other direction, making them TOO similar to prior designs. I’d have kept the black neck rings, the spiky eyestalks, and perhaps even the comically oversized gun sticks. All the Paradigm really truly needed to fix them was a fresh coat of paint to prevent them looking like plastic toys.
I like the look of the originals but I do agree they are too big. There arms look tiny & they look quite fat but with just a simple change they look amazing. I feel like the eternal however looks too gold I think it would work better if it was slightly less shiny other than that they look perfect like they did in the games but a bit shinier. I hope we get to see them again someday or maybe just a redesign of the Daleks. I feel like we are overdue a change as with the classic series they changed about every decade. the 60's had the silver & blue Daleks with black supreme & black domed guards. The 70's had the dark grey daleks with a gold supreme, a red supreme & some other designs. The 80's used the dark grey & the new white & gold daleks. the 90s had none & the 2000s had the bronze. the 2010s tried something new & hopefully the 2020s can have something unique to change things up with the daleks.
