    Thank you so much for this video! It’s very helpful and your personality is so kind and confident it made me less nervous to try this on my own.

    Thank you for this video! I've started changing my own bulbs to save time & labor. But this time, I helped a friend who has a 2013 Toyota Corolla. I watched the video a few times, got the bulbs and a few simple tools. All done in 5 minutes! We were both delighted. Thanks!

    Nice video … like how it is concise. I took care of the job in less than a minute since the trunk liner has access panels to the bulbs. Thank you 👍

    Tip: be sure you push the bulb in all the way (it can be difficult). I didn't and a few months later ended up with a bulb within the tail light assembly I had to use some grabbers to get out.

    Peter , you need a bigger challenge...like a headlight bulb...half of the repair would be gaining access😎

    Pro tip: use WD-40 if you can’t get the burnt bulb out with a simple tug.

    I cannot pull it out to save my life . The other bulb on the other side is easy to take out .

      I'm having the same issue. It's stuck real good. Reading the comments to see if anyone has any tips 😆

    • @SleeplessinOC
      @SleeplessinOC ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Riquezmann hmm . I would try putting on a latex glove and try pulling it out they way. I finally somehow got mine out and there was a lot of corrosion around the neck of the bulb. The latex might give it some grip even though it’s hard to get leverage with the bulb being so little .

      @Riquezmann ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SleeplessinOC It worked! The bulb being so small didn't help, but I kept at it. Thank you!

      @ScoutMotto2011 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lobsterstrange Chris is saying that the other bulb could burn out soon too, since it is the same age and amount of time in use. My high beam bulbs did this. One burned out, then a month or two later, the other burned out also.

    What?!? No bulb grease?? Well, it must not be in the Toyota Manuel.
    Good job my friend. I like what I am seeing here and remembering.

    My 86 wished i had used bulb grease. Also always check old sockets for pins pushing thru insulator . Wrong bulb can ruin the socket.

    It is a good thing that you fixed that Corolla. Otherwise you would basically have a wild animal driving around with a burnt out tail lamp.

    I wouldn't have touched the bulb w my bare hands. Just my opinion

    • @michaelrennie5985
      @michaelrennie5985 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s halogen and xenon bulbs that you don’t want to touch with bare hands . The oils or salt from your hands reacts with the heat from the bulbs and burns them out very quickly . Regular incandescent bulbs are no problem.
