Bose QC 45/35 Headphones: How to Factory Reset (Hard Reset) | Fix Connecting Problems

I show you how to factory reset (hard reset) a pair of Bose QC 45 Headphones. Should be same for Bose QC 35 too. Hope this helps.

This is NOT a factory reset or hard reset. This method cleans list of paired devices only, that´s all. In fact if you have changed the Bose´s name, this name will be not deleted.
According to Bose, this is the method:
Resetting your product
A reset can reboot your product or it can clear locally-stored product settings, such as paired device lists. Find out which option is available to reset your product.
Power off your headphones, then wait 30 seconds.
Connect your headphones to a wall outlet using a USB charger, then wait 5 seconds.
Disconnect the USB cable from the headset, then wait 1 minute.
Power on your headphones and resume normal use.

No. Bose gave me this same USB charger nonsense, but it does NOT do a factory reset. The correct procedure is to hold the action button and the bluetooth button until the LED blinks orange.

Hey, any idea what to do when I hold the button and the headset only repeats its old connections and in the end it says "Couldnt find a connection". I held the button towards the bluetooth symbol for like a minute. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem for a long time (actually thought that nothing would help). Today I fixed my QC 35 by disassembling the right cup 1) unscrew 3 screws from the inside part 2) push the last screws to open the external cup part 3) unscrew 4 screws from the other side 4) raise the top circuit board (the one with the power on slider) - there is a hidden connecter so it is somewhat hard to disassemble it. 5) after that the device will be hard reset and you cam assemble it back in reverse order.

WRONG WRONG WRONG. This is NOT a factory reset. The correct procedure is to simultaneous press the power switch to toward the Bluetooth logo and at the same time hold the action button (on the other cup.) Do them both simultaneously. Keep holding. The white led will blink white for 30 seconds, then briefly blink orange, and then blink blue. About 35 seconds total. Now your headset is factory reset. Did the hard reset when all of sudden the amazon music would not play. Now all streaming and calls work on my QC35II phones except Amazon Music. When I hit play it plays on the cell phone and not the headphones. when I power off the headphones the music pauses. very odd. Chatted online this am with BOSE and took forever for them to suggest contacting Amazon Music. Not sure what to do next. .
