This video randomly appeared in my recommended, congratulations! It's extremely well edited and it's always refreshing to see other people's favorite games. Great video :)
What I really love about this video is just how incredibly engrossing you've made it as an experience. From the marriage of gameplay to the enthusiasm in your voice to the music choices and how they swell and flow, there's this really cinematic experience to watching it, a flow that just makes it so easy to enjoy and is a lot different from the usual vibe of Top 10 lists that tend to have sudden stops for jokes and the like. It's a delightful time that makes me really appreciate what's being put out, even if I disagree with the assessment (there IS a perfect video game thank you and it's 1996's Kirby Super Star, timeless masterpiece, the rest of the world will catch up to my opinion someday), I am just enthralled to hear your experience and even reconsider picking up some games again that I haven't played or thought about in years. Really just wonderful stuff!
You have convinced me that every one of these games is a masterpiece. You explained each game so well that now I can’t help but want to play every one of them.
This video randomly appeared in my recommended. Ended up watching the whole thing, engaged the entire time. I was SHOCKED to see you only had about 800 subscribers. You deserve WAY more. This was very well made, keep up the amazing work!
I really liked how all the clips used in between list items were for different games. So many list videos only use clips from those 10 games and it spoils what the upcoming entries are. Here I had no idea. It was a great way of incorporating honorable mentions or heaping praise on games for doing X well before you revealed what did X best!
Just came across this video, and I gotta say, this was a really engaging take on a Favourite Games list! I wish you the best in your time as a video creator, you've got some great stuff here. ^^
You are just too clever, eloquent and witty. One of the best and most original minds I've encountered on TH-cam or anywhere. You could talk about any subject and make it fascinating, I imagine. I struggle with videogames these days because I don't have the time and patience, but I re-live my former passion by watching videos like yours when they randomly appear. It's much easier on my nerves than actually playing them myself. I do still dabble every so often, but once I hit a block, I have to buy a new game, which could turn out expensive if I played every day.
Great video and list! The Jak and Daxter trilogy is one of my fav games series ever! All my friends had a 64 and played ocarina of time. I was the kid with a PS2 playing Jak and Daxter.
My top 5 1. Silent Hill 2 2. Fallout: New Vegas 3. Mass Effect 2 4. Fire Emblem: Awakening 5. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind If anybody is wondering why fire emblem is so high, play it. If it didn’t sell well, it would have been the last game in the series and you can tell the devs truly put the love in to create one of the best games of all time. I never thought it would be my taste but I gave it a chance one day and it was the best surprise I’ve ever had in a game
It’s a respectable list. I almost rolled my eyes when I saw OOT at #4 but it got saved by WW. I personally like the pacing of OOT (or maybe OOT in general) better, but it’s kind of an NPC take to put OOT in top 5 when games like Elden Ring, BOTW/TOTK, RDR2, etc exist.
Thanks for watching! I think when it comes down to "favorite games," it's not about what's better or worse, it's about what resonated with YOU (or in this case, me 😁) in the long run. Yes, in a vacuum, OoT doesn't hold a candle to games released 25 years later, but that's not taking context into account. Regardless, it's all in good fun! I hope you enjoyed the video!
I cant decide what are my favorite games I feel I haven't played enough. Also I haven't decided what criteria would work. I don't understand how people can actually make these lists. Im impressed by the sheer will it must take.
In all fairness, not everyone loves making lists or ranking things -- I definitely think it's a personality based thing, as strange as that sounds. One of the first things I ask when meeting new people is, "So what's your favorite movie?" And I'd say half the time, most simply don't have an answer or haven't given it any thought, which is perfectly fine. As far as criteria goes, I'd recommend making your own. Which games make you the most happy? Which ones are you most nostalgic for? Which ones have you played the most? There are no wrong answers; it's YOUR list! So have fun! And thanks so much for watching!
@danyawelly Thank you for the kind words. I enjoyed the video greatly. I struggle because I can list a bunch of games but they're from across my whole life and I feel I've moved past some of them. Is your current list of favorites definitive or is it subject to change as you play more games?
Nah, nothing is too definitive here; opinions and preferences change with time. That's what makes lists like these so fun: Looking back and seeing what you loved and why you loved it! As for "moving past" some of those games you enjoyed in the past -- my made-up criteria for lists like these tends to focus on games that I don't "move past." I chose games that I genuinely could play any day of the week and love, warts and all. But yeah, it's all in good fun,@@chozochiefxiii3298!
When you got to wind waker I just knew this was amazing video. From Ocarina to Tears it is a top tier franchises with so few missteps. Even Hyrule Warriors might be one of the best games just based on the insane fanservice.
Botw is also my favorite game. However i think the game that has come the closest to perfection for me is final fantasy IX. I have a feeling that nier automata may also reach that level of praise from me, but damn. That first playthrough of botw is still just a wonder.
The potential dragon quest can reach if they made their leveling system better would be scary. Very few games capture the essence of adventure like dragon quest does. (Especially 8) too bad it feels like you re standing in the forest whistling and fighting stupid endless battles for the majority of the game

I've tried Outer Wilds at least 3-4 times, and it's just never hooked me. I'm not sure if it's the lack of direction or the gameplay style or what, but I SO desperately WANT to love that game!
@@danyawelly I can understand that as there isn't much in terms of dopamine hits until you really start piecing together the mysteries of the universe. The ending is where it gets real spine tingly.
Absolutely loved botw, such a valid take. For me personally, theres only 2 games i would put above it, those being elden ring and hollow knight. But thats just my opinion
