We watched Brock scramble in college a ton. Especially his Fresh and Soph year. I've been saying since his first start "he can run man...he's gonna make huge plays with his feet at some point and everybody will be surprised, who didn't watch him back home in Ames".
I honestly think Brock showed us that he should use his legs A LOT more often. The way he took over the game with his scrambling honestly shocked me. He looked just as elusive as Lamar! WILD!
We don't want it to become a habit, but in must win situations I agree. Remember, you don't want Brock getting plastered by a LB and then out for who knows how long.
Purdy, the heart ❤️ of Montana, the legs 🦵 of Young, the arm 💪🏿 of Kapernick, the looks of Jimmy lol. That’s our Neo. He’s the 1 that will take us to win it all.
No time in the pocket and still not dinking and dunking. This kid is awesome. Sometimes he needs to take those checkdowns, but damn this kids a gunslinger.
In that first scramble that Baldy shows, the one where Brock collides with Deebo, that easily could have been a TD, too. Even Deebo said as much afterwards, he called himself out for not blocking the right way (or something like that). I love how accountable these guys are to each other. What a team.
@@Kai_soze I agree, but I think those are his instructions from HC? I feel like Kyle asks him not to put his body at risk. The culture on this team is, you block, or you don't play. The only thing that makes sense, is they are protecting Deebo.
Purdy is 20-4 in the regular season, 4-1 in the playoffs. If he didn't get injured against Phili last year, he'd be 5-0 in the playoffs with 2 superbowl appearance in his first 2 years.
Baldy was spot on! Champion balling at it's finest. Joe Montana and Steve Young were "game managers" as well. Thankfully that "garbage", meaningless term didn't exit in their day! Doing what the head coach draws up, and the OC calls in, and executing to perfection, is not "management". It's called execution, performed by Brock Purdy at an elite level. The Lion's weren't managed in the 2nd half, they were EXECUTED! 😵
Looking at how the Niners did in the first half vs the second half, and how they looked last week against the Packers, it almost starts to look like Kyle Shanahan's play schemes get in the way of the raw talent the 49ers have.
Great break down! I got to watch Purdy play against my sooners in Norman and he is the only player that I was ok losing to. Kid has so much heart, so for him to end up with the niners my team for so many years. Make everything he’s doing for the team that much more sweet! Always knew Purdy was going to be great where ever he went, just glad he’s with the niners! Job not done though! Let’s go get that ring!
With that lesser team he nearly defeated hurts n the sooners. Now he has shanny n the niners. Still 24 years old. What else can we niners fans asked for?
The sideline throw and escape from the pressure was Brock's most impressive play as far as elusiveness/pocket awareness/ playmaking ability/elite acceleration ability
I want to see the stats on his play under pressure in this game. It seems like he was under pressure on almost every play and he still found a way to keep the chains moving. If that's not elite quarterback play, what is?
Great breakdown. The kind of stuff you will never get from a major broadcaster, very detailed. At this rate one has to wonder how long Brock will be in the NFL before he becomes a religious leader or President. Seriously. He has his priorities in order and this is why he performs so well - he keeps it all in front of him and does not make too much of himself. Brock Purdy is the best role model the NFL has right now. And, he is playing at an elite level. I think he hears the noise about kc and Mahomes an goes out there balls for a SB win. He played lights out in Vegas last year - and that's a lot of lights lol. The kid has my utmost respect as a person and leader.
We were so behind, we were all nervous but our Niners are resilient and dedicated. They delivered in the end and that’s what counts. Love my Niners!! 9er faithful til my last breath.
Kittle had a great quote (and new nickname for Brock) when talking about his scrambles, he said, "Have you ever seen those little dragons that run on water, thats what he looks like." Thats a great analogy for Brock's running style. From now on, just call him Brock "The Water Dragon" Purdy 🌊 🐉
Purdy the last two games has stepped into his leadership role, Steve Young said it last year if it’s not there he’s gonna have to find ways and use his legs ….. he did that and put the team on his back with his legs!!! #gamechanger and in perfect time and stride to have the game of his life in the SuperBowl
Dude why are you taking such an unnecessary shot at Trey lance? He couldn’t show that he could develop on the 49ers timeline, that’s not his fault. Move on bro.
Cheesehead here. I'm an old fart and share a house with my older brother. He is an Iowa State alum, was the starting goalie for their soccer team back when dirt was new, so I've seen a lot of Purdy back when he was in college. My brother proclaimed him a superstar in the NFL when he was still at Ames. When he was drafted last my brother shouted that the 49ers would put Purdy as their starter before the season was out and Purdy would win the MVP of the Superbowl. The injury stopped that, but this year it could happen. But I still think that Mahomes is the best and Purdy still has a bit to go. I think the Chiefs will win the Superbowl in a tight game. Unfortunately my Packers will be shut out of the Superbowl for some time even if Love is as good as he looked in the last half of the season.
It's like two teams went to the locker room at halftime and two completely different teams came out for the second half. I want to see the second half 49ers playing the Super Bowl.
I love how the linemen on every play he ran, came down to make sure the Lions didn't get a little too extracurricular with Purdy. Like, okay play is done, get off my QB.
I’m old enough to remember that Fran Tarkenton was derided for diminutive size. How about Brees, Doug Flutie, Jeff Garcia. All of them were also overlooked. In the draft. It’s about performance, not measurables
If Brock want to be talk in the group of Allen, Mahomme, Burroughs, that's what he need to do, stepping out of the pocket and use his leg like this game
I'm glad the Niners adjusted well at half time and pumped things up in the 2nd half...However, I'd like to see them play more "consistent" STARTING the 1st Qtr.
They said he was a game manager they said he couldn't come back being down double digits they said he don't use his feet Brock came back the second half put the team on his back!! They better give my qb his flowers let's gooooo niners!!!!
Aiyuk may have priced himself out of San Francisco with his play, while Jennings is making it a little easier to accept when it happens with his catches & clutchness.
Man, they haven't made it easy the last two games, but it's sweet to see them pull through in the end. Brock is the Come Back Kid! Take that Nick Wright! LOL :-) o
If deebo doesn't get in the way, that first run looks like it's touchdown. Purdy been (not) compared to a lot of QBs, but the way he plays reminds me so much of Steve Young with his toughness and ability to keep drives alive. I do wish he would learn to slide though.
I was so stressed first half early in the morning in the UK had pretty much given up the ghost st half time bad with flu woke my dad up with those scrambles!
Why are they keep crowning Lamar as the MVP??!!! Lamar's stats - 3,678 yards, 24 TDs, 7 ints, 64.7 QBR can't touch Brock Purdy's - 4,280 yards, 31 TDs, 11 ints, 72.7 QBR Brock is better than him in every category and he's definitely better in big games/moments. GIVE PURDY THE MVP!!!
@Graham_SFN awesome win!!! 9ers 4 life!!! Do you think the NFL is rigged? Go to the 3rd quarter @5:22 and look at the stat for Purdy noted at the bottom. Look at what is says when it’s 24-10. Love my 9ers and faithful always, what are you thoughts on that stat? #49ers #49erfans
Purdy was 12/14 for 174 and a TD giving him a 138.1 QB rating. Plus, his feet. That was epic.
BP IS HIM.
13-16
🎉🎉🎉 woooooo yaaaaay 🙏🏾❤️💛🙏🏾❤️💛
Jimmy wouldn't have thought about running...I mean, run with determination, no guts no glory kind of run hmm hmm that part 🙏🏾❤️💛🙏🏾❤️💛🙏🏾❤️💛
What Purdy did in the 2nd half is what legend are made of.

Drew Brees arm, Lamar Jackson legs
Only when necessary. In those instances, it was definitely... necessary.
Keep em guessin!
Watching him run away from defenders was a treat.
He’s the 1 that will take us to win it all.
lol let’s chill with the Kaep arm but otherwise YES 😂
I love the analogy 🌹🤞🏾
@@razzle-dazzle Ya...the Kaep arm might be a bit far lmao
Leave Kaepernick off when talking great niner qbs
Good one!! 🙏🏾❤️💛🙏🏾❤️💛🙏🏾❤️💛
No time in the pocket and still not dinking and dunking. This kid is awesome. Sometimes he needs to take those checkdowns, but damn this kids a gunslinger.
Right!!! Alex smith talked about this yesterday. He was the king of dink and dunk. He knows.
As a raiders fan, if Alex smith was the king of dink n dunks, jimmy G is the Duke of dinks n dunks. Hated seeing all the check downs.
In that first scramble that Baldy shows, the one where Brock collides with Deebo, that easily could have been a TD, too. Even Deebo said as much afterwards, he called himself out for not blocking the right way (or something like that). I love how accountable these guys are to each other. What a team.
Deebo missed the block and ended up blocking Brock himself.
Brock Purdy, the only player to truck Deebo in the 23-24 season!!
@@JLEW627😂😂
Deebo isn’t a great blocker which is surprising considering his frame. He should take notes from BA
@@Kai_soze I agree, but I think those are his instructions from HC? I feel like Kyle asks him not to put his body at risk. The culture on this team is, you block, or you don't play. The only thing that makes sense, is they are protecting Deebo.
Great breakdown. Unbelievable comeback. How can you not be a Brock Purdy fan?
As Purdy himself said "Haters gunna hate."
EIGHT MINUTES of Baldy Breakdowns!!🤯🤯🤯 LOVE IT
Exactly!! 🔥🔥🔥
49ers have Brock’s back, because we know the man is a baller and we all believe in him.
So happy for Trent, he is finally playing in the Super Bowl!
I loved how Baldy gave respect to that Proud San Francisco 49er logo. He's one of the few nationally on our side.
Baldy is great .... Thank you for having him on your channel.
What a game, and comeback, wow brock really carried this game amazing play after play
One thing that really bugged me was watching Niner players act like the game was over at 3:18. I kept screaming the game isnt over yet.
I stopped watching that Detroit game in the second quarter I thought we were done send a miracle happened I will never doubt the niners ever again
Thats our fucking quarterback...😎
Damn straight he is!!!
Purdy is 20-4 in the regular season, 4-1 in the playoffs. If he didn't get injured against Phili last year, he'd be 5-0 in the playoffs with 2 superbowl appearance in his first 2 years.
U speaking facts

Kyle trusts his schemes more than he does his own players.
I love y'all faithful so let's enjoy this week and get back to work next week... We going to the Superbowl 🤧🏆🤝🏾👏🏾
That should put Purdy back on top for MVP... IJS
We better keep Feliciano. That dude has been the perfect signing for the 49ers.
As a 49ers fan, Purdy is our QB. Proud of him. Purdy Good

Great vision. To find those gaps under pressure is elite Football awareness. That looked game changing to me.
Baldy….absolute perfection breaking down plays😎👍
This game and the last should silence all the doubters on Brock. Dude balled out last night.
The sideline throw and escape from the pressure was Brock's most impressive play as far as elusiveness/pocket awareness/ playmaking ability/elite acceleration ability
I love it! This is one of the best, if not THE Best, Baldy breakdowns, concerning Brock Purdy👍
Brother, You said it : There is no one better than Baldy for breaking down play “ He is “just-freakin the guy”
I want to see the stats on his play under pressure in this game. It seems like he was under pressure on almost every play and he still found a way to keep the chains moving.

Purdy balled out. Everything he does is awesome! 😎
switches the ball to his left hand away from defenders
Purdy freakin awesome. Irrelevant is the new cool AF
Just keep being Brock. How do you not love this guy.

Purdy stole the show, amazing

He looked like his college version in this game. Clutch and will do what is needed to win.
Ive been a fan since 1978 Ive always said Brock looks and plays like Steve Young. Im glad hes Brock Purdy though. 49ers got a generational QB now.
Trey Lance was hoping and praying we didn’t make it wit Brock.
So many ppl was hatin for us to win this game.We R Them!!!!!🤞🏾🌹

Many missed it.. but Kyle immediately went to Brock and Brock to Kyle like father to son for a proud embrace!
I’ll be honest, I thought this was in the bag. So close to Turning it off. What a game! Unreal! ✊🏽✊🏽

Plucked victory from the Lions' jaws of defeat
That throw to Deebo between 4 defenders seems to be a theme this year to thread it in there
I'm expecting Nick Wright to move the goal post so far today that it'll end up somewhere in the Middle East.
It's like two teams went to the locker room at halftime and two completely different teams came out for the second half.

Brock Purdy is HIM. He looked so comfortable showing out against a tough lions team.
