hI Jamie what you think on the web site TurboEMDR? It worked wonderful to me so far to proccess trauma and make me happier but i afraid to do more in my own withour therapist. I am doing EMDR online because i live in a country where EMDR is not avialable. and i am poor.
Wow this was great. I'm an EMDR therapist and have yet done EMDR with a client online though I've had several callers who were interested. I went searching on the internet "how to do EMDR online," and this popped up. Dr. Jamie Marich was so real. Thank you for bravely showing your true self. Your transparency brought feelings up for me. And your humor was spot on. Thank you Dr. Brayne for demonstrating your mastered skills as an EMDR therapist. You are natural and fluent in your guidance of the process. So now I know I can do this online through tapping and eye movements too (though that is often a distraction for most of my clients who prefer to close their eyes). I am concerned however that online EMDR might not work smoothly for me because of the delayed effect (even frozen affect) that happens in my neck of the woods (mountain town) with imperfect internet service. It's one thing to have talk-therapy interrupted, but EMDR--not so sure. Any comments, suggestions etc.?
I agree that having clear internet connection is vital. That is why I got a landline/internet, acknowledging that it might not be accessible to you. All the best!
I'm incredibly grateful for being able to view this as I learnt so much. One drawback I notice is that the therapist, Mark, is engaged in writing down the precise language of the client, Dr Jamie, to replay it back to her. Around the 15 minute mark, when he is seeking to find which message resonates most strongly for Jamie, Mark is looking down to write, and misses her body language. She is diagonally nodding (quite clearly not giving a solid 'yes' or 'no'). I point this out in case it helps therapists in an actual session - it must be very tricky to capture the language and stay fully visually engaged! Great demo, thanks
Jamie, I’m currently reading your book and have gone through it faster than ever because I love your energy and style. So amazing to see you work and see and feel your wonderful energy radiating through - I am really enjoying all of your content. Mark has a wonderful, healing energy too - a pleasure to watch and learn from this. Thank you
Thank you so very much. The comments exchanged at the end regarding the unique qualities that remote communication is the headphones bringing the voices directly into one another's ears, being able to hear the tapping of the therapist, wow, blown my mind ! This is so true. Even more intimate in a way than physical presence. Can't believe how this has changed my thinking about remote therapy. As someone in need of help for processing trauma with the only option being remote therapy, untill I saw this today I was feeling despair that it would not work. So grateful I saw this today.
Jamie, I'm so grateful for this video and all of the work you publish here on TH-cam and elswewhere. Your gift to the world is your ability to be fully present and open as a client, as well as being an expert clinician. Very few can do this (and I do wonder if academic psychology uses emotion-less and distant language to move away from the scary but essential undertaking of human healing!) Thanks so much for your ongoing inspiration and tuition.

Some companies don’t include the 10 hours of consultation during their training. I am in the 20 hours of consultation now, on my way to certification. I highly recommend them.
Thank you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable with us. This was amazing! I have been struggling with the idea of doing EMDR virtually and now I have no doubt that it can be just as successful as in person.
Have you done this yet? I’ve been there, too, and EMDR was positively life-changing for me. I’m about to do another round after a painful breakup, and I am as hopeful as before. I wish you the very best.
@@GwenMotoGirl does it really work? because I have this emotional trauma I haven’t processed yet after going to my friend little brother funeral after he was shot and killed I just want to get my life back and move on

Thank you so much for all the work you do and for making it public for all of us to learn from. I guess this is the same for the two of you as a team. Curious too know what you may be thinking about new connections with clients where there is not that 1/ highly developed self awareness, bodily confidence or 2/ safety and rapport. Perhaps you have explored this with other videos. Especially given many clients opt for a small number of sessions and take awhile to feel self/other trust.
