Troydon is a rockstar! My buddy Misha introduced me to him today, after chatting with Troydon I knew I needed to own and ride a Crestline Bike, 20 minutes later i order… I’m happy to be part of the Crestline Family now…
Hey Troydon! Bikes look great. Just a small suggestion. Don’t try to argue with the simpletons on PB. That site is the worst… Stoked to see Aaron onboard now too! I’d buy one today , but I have 2 kids in college currently. That basically sucks all the extra money out of the budget. Still got a pretty sweet Kenevo SL all customized that serves me well. Good luck👍
Very interesting. A lot of great info. I wonder if they'll have an option to use a battery extender? The 180 bike w a 400, 800 and an extender would cover anything id want to do
Quick question which i dont believe was answered in the video. With the new Gen 5 CX motor, does it have no drag like the SX motor? The Gen 4 motor had serious drag and was hard to peddle when the motor was turned off.
@EMTBPodcast I personally prefer a more active suspension design, especially on full power e bikes that don't necessarily need to squeeze out maximum pedal efficiency uphill. Furthermore, in my 20-plus years of riding differing suspension platforms, when set up correctly 4 bar offers superior small bump compliance when compared to many other platforms. Having said all this, each to their own, we all have our preferences.!!!!
The only thing I can tell you is to shut up and ride a Crestline before saying anything else. Crestline is my fourth e-bike and it's the first with VPP, there's no way the suspension platform of my other bikes (horselink and 4bars) could be better on any conditions than the VPP. On the 4bars I had to put could shocks to get traction descending while on the horselink I had to change the link and increase travel to avoid bottom out. Whereas on the crestline I only need an air shock and that's all.

Welcome to the family. 😂
all we need is new lighter battery which fits to gen4 system...

Damn I totally saw this guy in the lift line at whistler. Wish I had talked to him.

Yes, you can use a Power More range extender with this system
Any chance of a Dji motor?
On a Crestline?

Drag has been reduced but not eliminated. To what degree I'm not sure
@TheBikeStudio cheers bud, will find out this week when I ride a bike with the gen5 motor in it
Is there a fix for the downhill noise for Gen 4?
Yes. Silent 🤫
Can you run it with no battery if you like? Is that warranty supported? Also, can I run a triple clamp fork?
Yes to both I believe
If only Crestline made a bike with a 4 bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don’t like the current design?

@@CarlosAntunesMTB interesting that Santa Cruz doesn't share this opinion, and recently ditched the VPP for guess what?
how the hell do i go about getting a29/29 S 180 with 800wh and the spare 400wh battery. Dreamy do it all monster truck.
Just message Troydon at Crestline and he will make it happen for you
Why does the new frame look like a Levo Turbo in the BB area? Smaller motor but bigger enclosure. Not attractive IMHO.
The 400wh battery will only power a cx at 80% of peak watts
Still a great option for a Bikepark!
