  • All the photos have been edited, as with all my videos of this nature by the time i make them i have a lot more photos from the camera that i would love to include, but due to lack of time at the moment am unable to remake the video to include them. The photos HAVE been edited, i will be honest about that, the software is photoshop elements 8. Ultimately whereas the last videos were a test of what i could take in a few weeks and no editing this is testing what you can really get out of the camera when you have it for a year...

@TekkenRulezz Thanks for the comment, i do agree with you, that all these photos do have the horizon very much so centered, these are not photos i particularly use for anything, except one or two so i havent cropped them, but with my DSLR since it has a much wider angle lens i will crop it to whatever format looks best, with the photo itself centered on the horizon.. Thanks for the comment :)

@mooseling1 I don't have your problem about storage because I don't have much photos (not yet) to store, he he he. But I'm looking forward to more of your landscapes, though. I especially like your older photo of a skeletal viking ship against the sky. Cheers.

@MrAkihiros I shoot all my photos at the lowest possible ISO, even if it means carrying a tripod with me. I personally do no sharpening at all to photos, and i do as little noise reduction as possible, if any at all. Because doing this ruins the photo. Most likely what the problem is that i used adobe premiere elements to make the video, so the process of turning a photo to video and uploading reduced quality of the photos. They all do look better as actual picture files..Thanks for the comment

@mooseling1 TZ10. So far it's been great except for lowlight situations w/o a tripod. I'm looking to you assembling panoramic photos using PS since you are into landscapes. I heard they're easy to do.

@mooseling1 That must be it because in actuality they look incredible! I'm curious whether you have tried HDR using Photoshop. I haven't tried it yet but maybe you already have. Looking forward to more of your wonderful photos.

@MrAkihiros Thanks for the comment, i will make a video of the photos from my dslr soon. I havent tried it yet, i probably will start to use it soon as i try to create particular effects in some photos that require a slow shutter speed for one part but not the rest. As for normal photography if i have a potential problem with dynamic range i use the dslr and shoot in RAW and that usually fixes it... What camera do you use?

@MrAkihiros I just watched the video and the colours are close to non existant in it, i assume this is what you meant... I have no idea why it is like that... Many people say that you should 'take one good photo, not 10 bad ones' in the sense of dont take many photos. But personally if i take a good photo i photography lots of different angles and small changes to it and often one of the later ones is much better. Thanks for the comment, shall put up another video of my best photos soon...

@TekkenRulezz Everyone assumes that these were taken with a SLR, its not until i show them the EXIF data that says 'panasonic zs7' they dont believe me.. I decided to get a DSLR and the difference is massive, the photos you can get from that are unbelievable. Thanks for the comment :) When taking photos just think of what you have in front of you, then work out what the camera can see, from fully zoomed in to out. What the camera can take, some photos will be to demanding for it, like the one

at 0:55, you will notice that around the edges of the trees you have a white band and between the trees the sky is white and the sea is paled. That puts the photo straight into the pile of 'nice but unusable' photos, i wouldnt even attempt trying to use it for a print or calendar because it would look unprofessional, and ultimately that is the biggest problem with the TZ10, there can be small imperfections in the photo or noise that for using the photo rules it out, but for normal use is fine

@MrAkihiros Personally i use the software that comes with the camera to make that panorama that you have in the video. I use a tripod because if out doing night photography i really do prefer having it, i carrying it for the dslr now so if using the TZ10 i just use it with the tripod anyway... What sort of photography do you do?

@MrAkihiros The camera is very good for macro shots. I use a 16Gb SanDisk ExtremeIII card, i also have a 8Gb Lexar professional card. For me personally the problem i have is with actual computer storage! I have a laptop which filled up long ago and currently have around 4Tb worth of external hard drives to keep EVERY file i take. All photos i take i have a copy of, then i need other hard drives to back those up, then hard drives to back up laptop.. What do you use?

@mooseling1 MOstly macro, interior, and urban shots. Right now I'm doodling with horizontal panorama shots. One frustration though is the memory card. How much GB do you use?

Your pictures look great but they have an uneven 'video' quality in some photos. The first black and white one looks great. Maybe you're over sharpening some inn photoshop. I have a TZ10 too and I use a much lower iso for landscapes to insure sharpness.
