+Andy Nelson Try listening with headphones. If you're listening through the computer speakers you're not getting it, there are times when the bass is actually too loud. If that comment was sarcastic on your part though, thumbs up.
very brilliant Herbie Hancock on solo!!!! doing a lot of different armonic modulation and changing tune , improvising so fantastically. It seems to me that Stanley Clarke not always is in condition to follow Hancock , sometime Clarke prefers simply not to play note on bass, cause he did not understand where is the right tune. Clarke bass line looks poor , just thumbing and slapping when Hancock is in pre according line. Probably Stanley knoledge in armonia is not so fantastic as his fingers picks. Also he misses in ear , not guessing the tune in the same moment it is played but Hancock. I think that Miles Davis should take a look into bass player eyes, saying: what fucking are you playing???? apologize for my bad english but i think the concept i wanted to explain is clear.
He gets the arrangement- they made it a funk, to show the strength of the rhythm section in that forum. Herbie works in the direction of his musicians, always has- which is why he's awesome and his music timeless
The conversation between him Stanley Wayne and and hakim is wonderful
I’m very impressd !
Omar Hakim is just a straight up monster on the kit 🥁🥁🥁
OMAR HAKIM.THE BEST DRUMMER OF ALL TIME!
Has any musician seemed to enjoy themselves more than Stanley Clarke? He literally is a monster. Towers over Shorter. Love it!♡💖💕
RIP Wayne Shorter 🎷
Best jazz man of the history
Super Herbie Hancock grand musicien merci Herbie.

HERBIE !! 😎🙏❣️merci pour ce partage 😊
Wow. What's this !? Great musicians Great performance Fabulous band
Better than better.
These guys work superbly together although I definitely think that their "Live Under The Sky" performance is a lot tighter & a lot funkier!!! :)
I agree! The mood between them was way different with a lot of smiling and a superb Wayne that here is a in a low tone
Monsters !!!
Omar Hakim è un drago
So much excellent stuff going on
Deche stamo cazzo a parla'!!!!❤❤❤❤
even though he was playing complicated stuff, it all was part of the groove of the song he was playing. I'll have to agree
Excellent!

This man is a genius yet he's not received the acalade he deserves 😢
Wayne Shorter is just aggressive and chilling except for ballads.but storage mood this time.
HEY-Y-Y-Y!
great, but the bass needs to be louder in the mix
Andy Nelson youre kidding, imagine that percusive slap and pop sound, all the time ,hitting in the mix louder than this.
+Andy Nelson Try listening with headphones. If you're listening through the computer speakers you're not getting it, there are times when the bass is actually too loud. If that comment was sarcastic on your part though, thumbs up.
agree
absolutely!
Headphones will let you hear the bass much better. Not all devices handle bass equally though
Does it get any better than this?
@Andy Nelson At that time, Wayne was nearly 60… By the way what with this bass ? I don't hear it very well…
Move over Stanley . . I got this . . then bump we get cut off . . Aaaarghhhh ...
wtf ?? why the cut at the end ? D:
i'm agree wft!! end
Some other drummer got jealous and cut the tape.
Wayne wearing some old man pants, but he is still my favorite saxophonist.
Well he is (and was at the time it was taken) an old man.
You have to be kidding me to cut off on Omar Hakim's solo. Also, the audio is out of sync a bit.
What happened to the end of the song?
Fantásticos músicos. É tão mal realizado este vídeo
what year was this gig?
most likely 1991 ... still lots of black hair on their heads .. lol
chuckyspell that's racist :p

途中で終わるって
しかも動画と音ズレてるし、せっかくのアップに申し訳ないが、残念でしかたない!
Anti depressive
but Herbie too
Such a powerful playing by Herbie and Wayne, but Omar Hakim doesn't get this music.
He gets the arrangement- they made it a funk, to show the strength of the rhythm section in that forum. Herbie works in the direction of his musicians, always has- which is why he's awesome and his music timeless
I love all the armchair critics in the comment section. Shut up and listen, or go find something else....
