    I lived in Worcester for years at one time. Also, lived around the country too. It's not a bad city overall. When compared to other cities it's size. Travel around and see for yourself.

We have high school and collage age kids . we want to buy a house some day to retire in .we aren't getting any younger . we have family in New Hampshire and Vermont . we wanted a little more big city for the kids .

    If you own home and you sell it for nice profit that's your choice.
    I hope a lot people bought homes when they were cheap so now if they decide to sell high to wealthy costumer they can.
    I remember the north end in Boston. The long time residents sold their homes to high income people and old residents made good profit and move to Braintree. There's always seller and buyer that must agree on the deal.
    Now for people that don't want sell their home and are long time residents. Their taxes should not go up too much just because their homes are worth more now.

    Worcester has a demography problem, and that’s something you historically can’t recover from.

    • @mrbubetube
      @mrbubetube 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the best way to defeat white privilege gentrification is to increase minority immigration and ensure they receive all their government entitlements. That's where the Biden Administration can really help revitalize the Worcester population. This needs to happen NOW since over 81 million people voted for this agenda.

    • @CatholicTraditional
      @CatholicTraditional 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Unfortunately, this is correct. As an involuntary Worcester lifer of over 30 yrs., and a 4th gen. resident, I’ve actually seen the city win the All-American award in 2000 to turning into the 3rd world dump it’s become. Many good people and business have moved out or folded. Granting bonds to build Polar Park took priority over basic city services. Has been in the Top 15 cites in overall poverty for a while now. Downtown is now a ghost town. (If I had the means I would’ve left a long time ago.)

    • @brianwood155
      @brianwood155 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@CatholicTraditional This comment is really not correct. Downtown is busier now than it has been in probably 30 years. The city is changing a lot for the better. It sounds like you havent been there for a little while.

    1:20 I really didn't need to see that garbage. Can't they ever act civilized? I remember watching some drumline warm up in Boston Commons years ago. These clowns started dancing, doing some tribal garbage and the instructor stopped the exercises, told the clowns that it wasn't about them and they were free to leave if they couldn't act like civilized human beings. Of course they straightened up after that.
