Worcester is a nice place to walk round and visit the shops and restaurants the church and looking at the old buildings and have coffee and tea and food thank Neil for going round Worcester
Hello Neil are you well love your vidio its a beautiful place though I have never been I like the black and white houses they remind me of York much love and best wishes take care stay safe xx ❤😅😅
Quite an interesting video. I've lived in Worcester all my life and have never seen any of this. Actually, I live in your sister city of Worcester, Massachusetts, roughly 3,204 miles away. Thank you for sharing this wonderful city. Looking forward to the upcoming cricket season as I am able to watch it here.
Love it thank you! I live 30 mins from Worcester and visit often. Not sure if you knew but the building at 20:16 is free to go in and have a look round. Hope you enjoyed 😊
Shame there are so many empty shops now in the city, and a pity st johns never gets covered, its the village in the city. Tons of history from the romans to civil war and ww2 and so much more. Lived here all my life and 10 minutes from beautiful countryside all around us
Edward Elgar's farthers music shop is the building that's now Next in the high street, hope you had mooch around the cathedral the Tomb of King John and Prince Arthur who would have been king but he died at 16 in Ludlow(recommend going there ) so his younger brother became king Henry Viii
Looks like a nice place but as always in towns theses days, there are quite a number of boarded up shops and businesses unfortunately down to Amazon and the internet shopping.
@@GimbalWalkTV 😂 By the way. You’ve inspired me to visit more places around the uk. And on the strength of this video, we’ve booked a weekend away to visit this place too. Keep up the good work 👍🏽
@@GimbalWalkTV when your paying less than a fiver for a pizza what do you expect? Also doesn't help that the meats been transported from Birmingham to Worcester in an unrefrigerated lorry but if people want to risk food poisoning to the max go ahead.... P.s Caspian pizza Worcester has got nothing to do with the actual Caspian pizza company that's across the Midlands they're really good not the one in Worcester though
Worcester got a complete facelift in the 60s. The geniuses at the council decided it was a good idea to destroy historic buildings and replace them with monstrosities like that car park. So many historic buildings including Elgar's family music shop and the last surviving cathedral lychgate in Europe were demolished. It was a really big deal at the time and made national headlines. It was known as 'The Rape of Worcester'. It makes me sad knowing what it once was.
I will always love worcester, so many memories there

Wow! Another one I hadn’t considered. Beautiful, and the Elgar connection just adds a nice bit of Pomp and Circumstance(or maybe an Enigma…).

It’s been over 30 years since I was last in Worcester and I didn’t recognise it. Great video though.

I'm so sorry to hear that 😔. you are absolutely right, king Henry VIII became king of the world 😊
Obviously, this is Worcester England, so far it's alot nicer than Worcester Massachusetts 🇺🇸. And that's my hometown 🥺

A lot of shops closed during the pandemic.
Was that woman at around 18.40 asking you a question?
Or someone else?
Not sure - I’m always in my own little world when filming so didn’t see her

Not sure but it needs knocking down!
