I don't think they are geniuses. Just fans don't look to blame them. I just think the problem lies between a contract for investment and thank you for your work may you keep it up. Problem is players don't know what can happen next month, year or years, so they feel they should get paid now. Rather than having a body of work they getting injured and no big contract. Now GMs fault lies in not working the system in most sports there are positions that need to be secured for years.
