Mike Vick, Allen Iverson and I can even throw in Ken Griffey Jr. definitely brought the swag and changed the game that they played in. I'm a fan of all them. 💯
That's what makes Super Bowl 22, in my opinion, the best one EVER! The significance of the moment, having to deal with the ignorant media during the week prior to the game. He handled with class, dignity, and professionalism. Something the experts and the Media did not have nor show. His performance in the game, leading his team back from a 10-0 deficit, it may not seem like much now, but no team had won this game down that much. Then the 2nd Quarter happened. His 4 TD passes in one quarter, and the 35 they scored are still SB records. Being a Reds**in fan, it's still my FAVORITE MOMENT EVER!! Because we were watching history!
Allen Iverson was also a starting quarterback, running back, kick returner, and defensive back. Virginia always produces legends, but, more importantly legends who pay homage to the game and the pioneers.
I'm not sure if you are from the 757 or not. But the biggest hype ever around a Virginia high-school football and basketball player was ronald curry. That kid was same year as ookie (mike vike) and was all you heard about. The best high-school player ever maybe?
@@tyinva1212 You are right I remember Ronald Curry. He did not live up to the hype but still had a solid NFL career. I think his biggest mistake was going to UNC. I don't think they adapted to his play style. Ronald Curry in today's college offenses would have been a serious problem.

Vick, who was once the NFL's highest-paid player and did not have enough money so he had to fight Dogs,He hung approximately three dogs who did not perform well in a "rolling session," which indicates the readiness of a dog to fight. I always love hearing somebody's story about how they came up and the things they was so much different for their journey I watched him in college at Va-tech and my little brother said that's gonna be one of the best quarterbacks to play the game.
Its better to describe it as changing the culture. Vick and AI embraced staying black and bringing our Culture into the game. Bc Cunningham existed. Running QBs existed but you had to present yourself a certain way to be accepted as a QB. Vick broke that cultural ceiling
As a Panthers fan I hated seeing him twice a year as a Falcon (I still don't think he got a TD in that game in 04 in GA Dome against us when his knee was "up" in the end zone) but Vick was the precursor to the current duel style QB's. Salute to the legend. 757.
It’s so good Michael Vick continues to give Coach Andy Reid his flowers. He is very deserving of them. 💐💐💐💐💐💐 IMO, Coach Reid is underrated. It seems he treats his players with more respect than some of these other Head Coaches. 1 of my more than 1 fave QB, Cam Newton got some unappreciative Head Coaches who didn’t value Cam as much As he did his team. It’s a shame the NFL Owners have denied Cam a Backup job for 3 years, now. Cam can still play. Yes, discrimination still exist against the Black QBs. They use age, & injuries against Cam. But they sign up injured White players, who are far less accomplished & also older than Cam. Racism has not ended against Black QBs, but the ice has been melted with: Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Michal Vick, Cam Newton, McNair, Kaepernick, etc. The current today’s QB followers Cam Newton who is the #1 draft pick in 2011, for Carolina Panthers, 1st Black MVP, Heisman Trophy, 15-1 Season in 2015, ROY, OPOY, Trip to SB, etc... Russell Wilson made a big impact too, but he came aft Cam. He also won a Super Bowl! Kaepernick went to a Super Bowl, Hurts. Mahomes has won 3 SBs! Progress is good! But, the Black QBs, still haven’t arrived! 👍💕❤️💕🙏
