Girl! I’m 8 weeks today and I feel like we’re literally riding the same wave. Our little IVF baby is also thriving but I can’t help but feel nervous everyday. Soaking in the good instead of focusing on the worries is def a challenge for me too. Sending lots of ❤

Technically, the placenta takes over with the hormones at around 8 weeks, that’s why you can stop. Hope that helps your anxiety. 🥰

yes! that is what the RN told me to help ease the anxiety of quitting cold turkey! ❤

@@macdingle it was scary for me, too. I’m a medical anxiety girl, myself, and my doctor reassured me that it was safe. I’m glad everything is going good so far. Praying for y’all! 🥰🙏🏻

I've been following your journey for the last year, and I was so happy to see your positive result. I got the best sort of shock on Mother's day, a positive pregnancy test! Still testing multiple times a day and watching my line progress, it's so magical.

I remember the anxiety when I was no longer on IVF meds, but all was well. A few more months and you will feel the baby moving and that’s when I finally started to relax. Hang in there.
I was bloated to and looked about 5 mos pregnant from the beginning. I don’t remember my bloat disappearing.

Also on week milestones on Wednesdays 🥰 happy Wednesday for tomorrow 😊
Also! I think I started seeing a little something after 11 weeks. And I definitely understand what you mean about things not feeling real or final. I easily find myself saying ‘I’m pregnant’, but ‘I’m having a baby’, not so easy to believe yet.

Secondly, please note that pregnancy following infertility/loss is mixed with both worry and gratitude for finally being pregnant. So, happy for you both, PASP!!

I feel the same way ! I’m 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant ! And this Friday I’ll hear for the first time baby’s heartbeat! But I’m also so scared because I want this to go perfect ! I think the fact that I didn’t get pregnant the natural way it’s what makes it more difficult to be confident . But I’m trying my best to stay positive for me and my baby ❤
I’m glad you’re done with your shots !!!
Best of luck and much love 💕

My husband and I had a chemical pregnancy our first month trying. It took us another 5 months to get pregnant naturally, but after that experience with the chemical pregnancy, I definitely struggled with feelings of "is this even real?" and waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm 26 weeks pregnant now and still struggle with worrying something bad is going to happen, but it definitely got better around week 24 when i started feeling movement! once I could feel movement, it made me feel a lot better cause I wasn't stuck waiting 4 weeks between appointments for them to tell me everything was ok.

    • @nattye.6757
      @nattye.6757 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think I had chemical pregnancy as well. I took positive for 4 days and on the 5th it turns negative.
Yesterday, I started having heavily period. Not sure that can call early miscarriage. My heart is truly broken. I have PCOS so my calculations on the ovulation is very challenging and taking longer than normal. I wish this is a dream.

This is fascinating! I did a mostly natural IVF transfer so no consistent meds except a progesterone suppository as a precaution. I’ll be happy to graduate from that and I’m not far away now! I’m so impressed by y’all you do the shots regularly! I could have done anything for the babe but I’m so grateful I didn’t have to.
Love the team work between you Jack! ❤

First of all: I am so happy for you guys!! You two taking that test was so amazing ❤
But omg, that inner voice! You're not the only one 😢. I was so used to being on the "wrong" side, that it felt like I was waiting for things to go wrong again. It is normal, especially after infertility, but it sucks big time. One of the big things that helped me was when I started to feel my little girl. I had a really small bump, I started showing at around 18 weeks. And it was still only a "big lunch" belly - that didn't help the anxiety part either. Hang in there. Be as happy as you can, show your (gassy ;-)) belly like a proud mama ❤But if you start to feel anxious, talk about it with your husband, friends, the OB, whatever. It's reel. And if it's possible to have an extra ultrasound: just do it.
    (And woohoo for no shots!!!)

I have never been in your situation so I can not relate but I am sure this little magic baby will stay with you and everything will be just fine 😊. He or she will be in your arms before you know it. Fun that you play ”The final countdown”. They (Europe) started the band just a few minutes away from where I live.

I started wearing maternity jeans at 9 weeks🤣 I think other people started commenting on my bump at about 12! I felt SO much less anxiety after I got through the first trimester! I tried to focus on the positive statistics at that point and try to have hope that my body could do it from that point on🤞🏻

What a huge milestone! And, of course, I'm sure you've had many more since this video.
The anxiety is totally natural, but I hope that as you go through this pregnancy you can start to feel more at ease and believe that your body's got this now! After all the struggles to get pregnant (and thank goodness for modern medicine in that regard), there's absolutely nothing to say you won't have a perfect and smooth pregnancy from here on out. You're super strong, your body is incredible and capable, and your baby is clearly a strong little fighter -- you're gonna do great!

Hi Mac and Jack aww I can definitely see a little bump there after you had finished your IVF shots.I understand your anxiety you get that feeling when you get pregnant naturally it’s a scary time you just don’t know what could happen I was like that with each of my pregnancies until my babies were safely out into the world. I started showing from 10 weeks of pregnancy with my first baby a little bump just like yours. You are doing so well Mac and great that you have finished with all your meds I expect your in your second trimester now; can’t wait for your next video, hope your all doing well. Lots of love to you both xxx 💗

Currently watching this with my pants unbuttoned due to my post lunch bloat. At 13 weeks i feel like i have a little swelling, but no bump (unless bloated) but also I've had two laparotomies and hernia repair so there is a lot of scar tissue and a bit of surgical mesh that will need to stretch before too much will show. I don't think I saw too much difference in bloating from when i was on the estrogen/progesterone to after, but my bloating has been more sporadic or meal driven. I personally just am so excited to get to the stage of there being an obvious baby bump and movements - that will finally make it feel more real! 🍀

    • @mpcasey

That being said I have taken pictures of my "bump" and sent them to my husband in those moments when I can see something (he's been out of town) and his response has been entirely 🤷‍♂️ so truly I think we notice stuff ourselves long before it's noticeable to others.

I had to stay on metformin (due to my PCOS) for the first 10 weeks of my pregnancy and I had such a love/hate relationship with it as well. My bump started around 8 weeks for my 3 pregnancies. This could be the factor of their weights. 9lb 8oz (4309 g ) , 10 lb 8 oz (4762 g ) and the last one 8lb 2oz (3685 g) said how small she was a😮nd the nurses just looked at me! Al sdo after the dr told me babies usually get bigger each time. Glad he didnt say this at the beginning all natural and between 2 1/2 to 3 hrs labour

@@macdingle - I was lucky. I suffered infertility with my first few pregnancies but later became extremely fertile. I had 3 girls of my own (now 32, 29, & 26 yo) and now a granddaughter. I was also able to carry a child to term for a friend of mine who was unable to carry her daughter due to a heart condition (she is now 23 yo). Although I suffered through some heartache, I got my blessings eventually. This is just the beginning for you and what an adventure it shall be.
