    Thank you for sharing. I was wondering about those visitors moorings, how does that work? Do you have to call the marina to ask or? Blessings from Norway.

      Thanks for watching. Where we used Marinas and stayed on a pontoon we generally called in the morning to say we were coming that afternoon or evening. Where we used Visitor Mooring buoys we just turned up. We never had a problem, in most cases there was a fallback of being able to anchor nearby if the visitor moorings were taken but never had to do that. We used the sailing guides produced by Clyde Cruising Club and these gave excellent information on anchorages and on navigation, including the important tidal information. (Guides available from Amazon). It was good to see so many Scandinavian boats in the area (early July)
